Went to have sushi here. This was recommended by our tiki boat driver. Sushi is pricey, but expect high prices in Destin. I did start off with the fried green tomatoes. They were delicious. I didn't even want to share with my friends. I got the volcano roll. It came with warm crab salad on top. It looked small when it came to our table, but it was definitely filling. They do have a sushi bar. There's plenty of seating. We were told it was a 30 minute wait, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waiter was very nice. They had sports on the TV. We went for sushi bc I saw tons of tiktok reviews on it raving. we started with miso soup and ugh. It was disgusting. Their sushi was just blah. It tasted like something I'd get ANYWHERE but the beach. The service sucked as well and we went when it wasn't busy. We ended up going to Zen later which is SO GOOD and fresh and great service. Came here for lunch and it was a nice place off the ocean. Our waiter Autumn was the best. She handled our group of 12 with ease. The gumbo got rave reviews. I ordered the spicy grouper club. The fish was seasoned well and the slaw on it was good, but it was just so much of it and it made the sandwich bread soggy and messy to eat. Staff was great and would recommend. read more

This place is SO RIDICULOUSLY GOOD!!!! And that's coming from a Louisiana girl that is used to seasoning/salt overload and has very high expectations. They have something for everyone -- sushi, chicken, steak, fried seafood. The options are endless!! We had the tuna poke nachos appetizer -- literally the best thing I've ever eaten in my entire life. The tuna was so fresh, wontons so crispy, sauce spicy and delicious. I had the surf & turf, 12/10. Steak cooked perfectly, very tender and flavorful. My boyfriend had the catch of the day (swordfish) and he loved it!! Our drinks were very strong and good. Our server was amazing, very personable and on top of it despite it being very busy!!! We also had an approximate wait of 20 minutes which turned out to be about 2. Looking back now, I'd wait hours if I had to!!! Overall 15/10 rating. I WILL be returning any time I'm in the area! Only complaint is how far away from home it is, ha! We sat outside by ourselves at a picnic table waiting an hour and half for our food. Let's just say our backside didn't love it. But the saving grace was The food was amazing. Best sushi I have ever had, fried rice and the chicken dish. Hats off and 5 stars to the chef. All of our meals were delicious. There was a medical emergency but my husband was the first responder helping so his food was cold but still good stuffed shrimp wrapped bacon. My suggestion is to put some tables and chairs outside for such a long wait for dinner. read more

The wait was terrible and we understand we are in a tourist area. The hour and a half (even though we were told it would be 45mins) wait wasn't the worst part. Once we sat down we waited another 15mins before our waitress came to our table. She asked if we were ready to order drinks. We said we would like to order drinks and our food. She then informed us that the kitchen is backed up and running behind around 30-45mins. Our waitress came to refill our drinks once. No one apologized for our long wait or that our food was taking a century. I asked if we could at least get the kids meal (grilled cheese) sooner. She said I'll have to ask. The food was average for seafood. And the service, employees, and overall experience were not great. Definitely not worth the price we paid for three meals and a grilled cheese. I expected better. When I go to a restaurant and spend that amount of money I expect the entire experience to be way better than what we received at Harbor Docks. It was a disappointment. I would not recommend Harbor Docks and we will not be going back this trip or any future trips to Destin. To many other good restaurants to waste 4 hours here for mediocre seafood. read more

I love Harbor Docks and try to visit whenever I am in town. I would give them a solid 4.5 b/c I feel like their prices are very expensive (and keep going up) but since we can't do half points I rounded up to 5 stars. The restaurant is huge, upstairs, downstairs, and back porches on the water. I love eating outside. Service is fast and very to the point. Fish of the day was grouper and 3 of us ordered it. My daughter had a kids grilled fish meal which was about $14 but came with a nice piece of grouper and grits. My husband had the grouper tacos and I had the grouper club. I wouldn't call it a club since it was more of a simple sandwich, no lettuce, tomato, onion, just bacon, cheese, and slaw. The thick bacon was good but overpowered the fish-which was fried but would have been better grilled. It was also super pricey at around $32. I wouldn't order it again but would definitely try grilled grouper next time. My other daughter got sushi and loved it. I have had the Thai food here multiple times and it is always delicious too. Highly recommend trying the key lime pie for dessert! Be sure to go to the fishing docks behind the restaurant afterwards. It's a fun place to watch the boats and see the sunset. read more

Exhausted from a long sunny day, Lily was our energetic server, full of positivity and enthusiasm. My daughter really responded well to her and said she's so cool! Kudos for acknowledging the kids, bc they like the interaction. Moving to food, jt was worth the wait! Phenomenal spot right by the water. Friends recommended this place which has a lot of fusion foods. Yoshi the head sushi chef has been here a long time according to my friends. We started off with some Japanese beers and appetizers. I recommend the tuna dip, shrimp, and pot stickers. They were phenomenal. We went on a busy Friday night so we had to wait for a while but it was so worth it. The vibes were great inside and the energy was buzzing. Talk about freshly caught fish right into your sushi roll. Wouldn't order again. - edamame was so cold. I guess it can be served that way but I've never had it like that before. Really wouldn't have ordered it either if I knew. - drinks: since '79 & backyard buzz. Average and extremely strong. Didn't drink mine. - sushi rolls: summer roll was good. All the others had wayyy too much loaded on there. As soon as we left the restaurant I became extremely ill and on the verge of puking until 3am that night. I can only attribute it to the sushi because the only other meal I had this day was breakfast that I made myself at Airbnb. The bill came out to $175.
