I ended up throwing up before everyone even finished their dinner. Disgusting !! I just took my son and grandkids there. It cost us $71 for 3 adults and 1 child that was after they credited by supposedly that I threw up as the prawns were cold. Something else taste really bad. It was disgusting. The hot food was good. The place is big but it needs a bit more light and music. It was clean and the service was quick and nice. The price was absurdly low. The desserts were super fresh and delicious. My only problem was with the sushi but we don't love sushi (my hubby), so it was fine. They had oysters on the half shell, shrimp, crayfish, and a great assortment of food that even satisfied my dining companion who does really like either sushi or seafood. Update 5/7/21: I haven't been here in a few years and thought to try to this place out even during the Coviad season. I was back in Destin for vacation so I needed some Asian foods. This place opens until 10:30pm. I came here on a Friday afternoon around 4:30pm. It was dead. There was maybe 2 other tables when I came inside. I didn't not see a mask required sign in the front door. The employee didn't know take my temperature either. The employees were all Asian males wearing masks. There was no 6 feet requirements as they seated everybody in the same area back to back. (I guess the CDC requirements are less now?) The foods were pretty much the same minus the crab legs. Sushi didn't appear too fresh(rice was hard and stale) but they had a decent variety. I hit up the hibachi bar and got the chef to cook me some steak, shrimp, imitation crab meat, eggs, and bean sprouts. I got the Teryaki flavor. There were no gloves at the food bar so you were touching all the tongs and spoons everybody else has been touching! (Yuck!!) I had to go back to the bathroom to wash my hands after I got my food. No customer was wearing their masks while getting food. The only other 2 customers that were wearing masks decided to leave right after they got one round of good. They mostly likely thought the place wasn't sanitary. And I don't blame them. Customer service was good as my server refilled my drinks and cleaned off my table very fast. It's not saying much where there were only a few parties there. Only thing I enjoyed was the cold mussels and squid salad. The Hot & Sour soup was okay. I think I may had only got 2 rounds of food. Which that's a first because I normally tear up Buffetts. lol The pre scooped ice cream was decent. The canataloupe and orange was sweet tho. At the price of $13.99 per person for dinner. It's definitely not worth it. The price of $9.99 and below would of been more appropriate. But the Destin inflation price is definitely here. I will definitely never going here again. It's NOT bad, but it's not the best I've had either. The concept is great- hibachi grill, endless sushi and buffet items... But the flavor isn't there on some items. For example- the spicy tuna rolls were AMAZING, as well as the Hong Kong chicken... But the Chinese donuts were kind of hard and stale and the hibachi grill kind of needed more... sauce? Flavor? Speaking of hibachi bar... I also noticed gnats swarming the peppers and onions, as to which they had a fan trying to blow them away. So I decided against opting in for veggies in my hibachi. If you're not picky you probably wouldn't mind eating here. I'm not picky, I love AYCE joints. It's not my favorite, but it got us full for cheap ($13.99) and that's all that matters. PS. So you really can't beat a buffet in Destin for 14.99. So let's say it's a great deal for the price. It's a typical Chinese restaurant with a sushi buffet built in. No special seafood though, just what you usually find at a Chinese buffet. What's I dial though is they have full popsicles which the kids loved. So my family was hyped about a seafood buffet however I'm not sure they read past the sign because if they had read a review we wouldn't have been in here. This is your typical Asian food buffet but this is a smaller version of the ones I go to back home. My brother and sister in law loved the sushi, my mom loved the sea weed salad but I can't say there was anything that loved me and had me raving about lunch. My brother actually made a comment that I was eating like a bird. The only seafood I saw was shrimp - fried and boiled, but I guess that's seafood. Dont know what I expected, it's a southern seafood buffet. But it's opposite day every day here at the Fuji! Fried foods that are supposed to be crispy are spongy and soggy, foods that should be hot are cold, cold foods are lukewarm, fried rice is always seemingly a few days old. The all you can eat sushi is akin to playing Russian Roulette. If you survive the experience you will be fundamentally changed. I cant even focus on my food. Isnt it kind of messed up to have a fish tank where the fish can see out to the seafood buffet? Not a good buffet at all. Manager walking around coughing while checking out the buffet. Sushi bar fish and pieces all dried up. Nothing was fresh and it was only 12:30pm. No steam coming up from the warmers which should be keeping the food nice in hot. The seats have no cushion so I sat like a short kid at my table. The food here is actually pretty good. But the name is misleading. I wouldn't consider this a seafood buffet. There's not a whole lot of seafood choices. If your looking for a great Chinese food or sushi place then this is a wonderful place. If your looking for crab legs or oysters then go elsewhere. The baked fish, crawfish and salt and pepper shrimp were really good but wouldn't be enough to classify this as a "seafood" buffet. This is a great bang for your buck, $11.99 for all you can eat sushi, hibachi, and the full spread of Asian dishes. Spring rolls could have been slightly crunchier and the avocado on one of the sushi rolls was a bit over ripe but the rest of the rolls were good. The food was so atrocious that it was disrespectful to frozen meals from the dollar store. Legit, I wouldn't feed it to my dog and he eats banana slugs in my back yard. I came here with a group of friends, and 2 minutes into eating, 3 people had to go to the restroom. My best friend, who would legit eat anything, was only about to eat a bite out of everything. His girlfriend smelled the crawfish and couldn't even eat it. My girlfriend took a sip of their soup and flew to the restroom. We even had a champion eater with us and he couldn't finish a plate. I've had my fair share of buffets all across the country from Houston, to Vegas, to Orlando, to New York, to New Orleans, to Los Angeles, to Chicago, and to all the other places in between. This place does not even live up places like a Ryan's or Golden Corral. Food was fishy, the sushi was hard, meat was like a chew toy, and the fresh habachi ingredients were all changing colors. We were looking for an inexpensive place for lunch and saw a brochure for Fuji in our lobby. We went at 11:30 for lunch. There were about ten people there already. They had two large displays of sushi including raw and cooked varieties. There was a nice salad bar that had peel and eat shrimp. Their steam tables had standard Chinese food like crab casserole, spicy beef, egg rolls, dumplings and like thirty other things. They also had hibachi but we didn't try it. Where to start.... Definitely not what they advertised. Only sushi that they had was dry and fishy and the worst part is nothing was labeled. The only seafood they had was some kind of white fish swimming in way too much liquid that tasted just as bad as the water and shrimp that just looked as bad as everything else. As of everyone saying that this place had a great selection of ice cream must have had their heads in the clouds or forgot their glasses because they only had 3 items in the desert chest and everything we tried tasted like it was defrosted and refrozen. As a local, I used to eat here several times a week. The lunch special was amazing and the food was great as well. The older gentlemen that I assumed was the boss/owner has left this restaurant to go manage another place they own. Since he left, the food quality and service has tanked. They were on top of the refills and very kind. Empty plates were taken almost immediately and this was a family of 14. Probably some of the best service I've had at a buffet. The food was satisfying. I gave 3 stars because of the service, despite the amount of people standing at the front of the door deciding to not eat or eat there, we were walked in and sat down immediately. The choice options for this buffet is very common. You have the hibachi section, all the different mall-type Chinese food options, salad bar, the dessert section with the various fruits and cheap cakes. 6 of us went in and paid around $86-$87 and tip was included.
