I purchased a 2-pack of plastic spray bottles for $3.99. BOTH did not work. I returned 2 days later to exchange them and was told that I had to return them to the manufacturer. Wait, What?? Danny, a supervisor, stated that it is company policy. I asked him "do you really want to lose a customer with 2 auto repair shops and two homes over $3.99?" I bought a trimmer for veterans day discount. They did not apply the coupon 25% discount. We checked and saw that non of the exclusions was applicable for this purchase. Than talked to the customer service and they accepted this is not excluded but because it would discontinue system did not accept coupon. They always do the same. I am shifting this to BBB. Hello everyone No need to be a member just wait for your coupons. Please know that if you lose your receipt you only get store credit. What's the point of being a member? I spoke to Nick the manager and I was trying to return a $15 item. He stated " they can verifying that I purchased the item but due to "company policy". He can only give store credit. This company needs to get themselves updated. I've been a member for a year and purchased tools. But am too busy to chase receipt. (That's why I became a member).going back to Home Depot and Loews Btw I gave my "store credit to the customer behind me. I don't need any tools at this time but was looking at a welder I'm going to purchase in a few weeks. Does it make sense I would have to hold on to my credit till I make a decision. I was given a gift certificate there and was told it had a zero balance. I got the receipt and brought it back to the store as instructed and was told to go to Bridgeport where it was purchased. I went to Bridgeport and they told me they had several that day not processed properly by the person who checked out the card. He told me to call California and did not get a call back. Called again and they had to give it to fraud protection unit. No call back. I posted a bad review on Facebook and someone replied he would handle it. Cheap Tools. I could literally stop there and it would be an accurate review. I can say though, that they also have some rare and specialized tools you will not find other places. Will their tools last forever, no, but you will certainly get your money's worth! The staff is very friendly and whereas their product know can be a little lacking sometimes, they can at least help you find what you are looking for. Their advertising circulars are legendary for their amazing deals and coupons... And the put some great items on sale. I find I can get a specialized tool I'll only use a few times a year without feeling like I've wasted a ton of money, which makes me more likely to pick up that odd implement and make my life a little easier! So, stop in, look around, maybe discover a clever tool that you never knew existed, or pick up something you've needed but just didn't want to pay the big box store prices for! read more

Went to this store to return a tool I did not use and to purchase more tools. Got to the store around 8:24 and the 2 employees are standing out front smoking and they tell me that the store closes at 8 and they could not help me and that I should come in tomorrow. I wanted to verify the posted times but one of the employees moves to cover up the times... terrible experience especially when I can only get to the store around 8 pm. I have spent quite a bit at this location but not anymore. Extremely poor customer service. Would avoid the night crew if at all possible, so you will not be turned away. read more

Drove there on a Friday in traffic to buy an engine hoist. I was told that there wasn't anyone there to check in the back to see if there was one. They thought there was one on a pallet but would not check, and was told to come back tomorrow. I should have just ordered (ahead of time) from Northern Tool on line.... Because I really needed it now, I went back the next day and they were very helpful. They went in the back, got the hoist, and brought it up front. I shopped for about a 1/2 hr and it was there waiting for me when I checked out. The item itself is really nice for the money ($140). I originally gave 1 star and posted everything before the ... I changed to 3 stars because of my positive experience the next day. That Friday, I was really upset to drive there with the traffic on I-95, and to return home with nothing. read more

The store itself is as you'd expect any harbor freight, but the cashier as I was checking out was incredibly odd and asking awkward questions when all I wanted to do was pay for what I was purchasing and leave. Definitely won't be returning anytime soon.. read more
