Very clean store. Yeah, lots of stock is made outside the USA but if you that doesn't bother you, the odds are you will find it here. Needed a new wheel for my wheelbarrow and they had quite a selection. Tools, power equipment, paint supplies, diagnostic equipment, and more. Disappointed by unprofessional and unhelpful staff. 3 staff having conversation, didn't not acknowledge customers standing on line for over 5 minutes. No personal available on the floor to assist with questions. Wasted trip. I will try Home Depot or Lowe's instead. read more

I would presume (maybe incorrectly) that most of you have been to a Harbor Freight store. If not, and you love tools this place will soothe your soul. SO many kinds & types of tools will make your head spin! Be sure that you're going in for a specific tool because, if you're like me, you'll spend a goodly amount of time just wandering going Oooo & Aahh at all the aisles. This place sucks in my opinion.....Refused to take a return even though I had given a phone number during purchase to track my orders, only would take a paper receipt, no store credit or exchange in a $20 welding wire. I've shopped here for years though I will look for alternatives now. read more

VERY POOR C.S.! Was told I need to special Order a Tool Cart. After I ordered it at the Westland, MI location, I told by friends and I called several other locations and They have this Cart I had to order at Westland. The Store Rep. said 1 to 2 weeks, Corporate Office said maybe Oct 15 (that's over 5wks.). HarborFreight said they do not transfer between stores, even if a customer is waiting for it. They said I can return it and get it at a different HF, But will not get it for the price I paid!!!! read more

I like Harbor freight Tools a lot because like most people I like to save money and have a choice of different quality grades based on how much you will be using the tool. The Westland location should be avoided like the latest virus scare. The customer service is atrocious try any other location first. read more

Being visiting this store very often lately trying to buy some tools and act like I am a mechanic.. haha The stuff is very helpful and the product.. is well, you get what you pay for. But for non-mechanic person, the tools are good enough. It is located in a very empty plaza due to close businesses. But don't let it bother you. read more

Was just there last night. I like the various selections of different and hard to find items. The store is very clean, organized, and you can't beat the prices. As a company and a regular customer we have dealt with them for many, many years and plan to do so for many more. Oh, I can Not forgot to mention how kind a helpful each of the clercks were. Most Harbor Freights allow you to negotiate the price on open boxed items, this one does not. The standard 20% off open box items is horrible when you consider that the 90-day return policy does no cover opeb box items. Do yourself a favor an use the 20% off coupon rather than buy anything open box from this particular store. You'll keep the 90-day warranty and won't have the headache of buying damaged items as-is. read more

Was there last evening looking for a canopy. Asked at front and both cashiers acted like they couldn't be bothered to show me where they were located. They continued complaining to each other about the fact they had to work until 9. When I found the canopy and brought it up to registers, the cashier said it wouldn't take the 20%off coupon. When asked why, all she said was "I don't know ". I told he I didn't want the canopy then...and she acted like she couldn't have cared less. What horrible customer service!! If you know what you want, you're ok but don't expect any pleasantries...they must hate their jobs! read more

I received two floor jacks for Christmas and tried to return one. When the manager found out it was a gift and I didn't have the receipt. He stated "You don't have the receipt why am I even talking to you then walked away". I purchased a lot of equipment for my company there but I'll never return to that store. The people in line commented what a jerk about the manager. read more

I had only been to Harbor Freight Tools in Fraser - the Westland store is almost double the size with a much larger selection of products. I used to purchase HF tools as second rate knockoffs of name brand tools. Their purchasing and sourcing is becoming more sophisticated. The HF top end tools are as good as any commercial tool out there. read more

I purchased a 30 ton central hydraulics log splitter in 2006. Poor design with reservoir tank on axle platform where stress causes leaks in welds where tank is welded to platform. read more
