Dave was our bartender and he's GREAT! Friendly, funny, chill guy. My brother is the beer aficionado and our cousin and I not so much. He gave great recommendations and Ivey beer we each was stellar. Haddie got our last round and was super friendly, too. Both of them were crazy knowledgeable! Definitely come to Harbor Light if you are in town or a local.

Hundreds of Hops stop #19 on our 2024 self-guided Hops Passport Brewery Tour The parent (or sister) property of Oakestown, which was our favorite stop on our Michigan Edition Tour A nice, long bar top with 3 friendly, tho beaten down staff running it. They had a big ole bacon event today that sold out & had them hopping. The music starts soon to boot. This means we're here in the lull. We were advised that the menu is the same. I don't remember well-enough to dispute that, so, yeah. Solid beer in a nice location &, on that note, I'm off to listen to some Irish foot-stomping tunes live.

Happy hour Monday-Thursday. $1 off of pints. No food but you can bring food in if you want. Nice selection of beers & ciders. I ordered a flight of 4 beers and a peach cider. Bartender was very knowledgeable about the selections. Beers were priced reasonably. I ordered the Everlasting Gobstopper which was the pumpkin spice ale. This had a good pumpkin spice but was a little too heavy in the coffee flavor. The Red hared cider was a peach flavor cider that would be refreshing on a hot day. The Maggie's frog was a kiwi lime gose that had more of a lime flavor than kiwi. It was the appropriate level of sour but had a little bit of a bitter finish. The IPA's were where it was at. I ordered both the snake and turbo IPA's both were excellent. There were 3 other IPA's that I did not try. Next time I will probably stick with an IPA flight. Very cool spot.

One of our trips each year is a visit to Lake Michigan's western shores for a few weeks. We rent a home on the lake and visit local establishments for shopping, dinners and fun. We went into Harbor Light Brewery, in South Haven, to take some local beers back to our friends as gifts. The older man waiting on us to fill an order wasn't the nicest. He seemed to be the owner, but not sure. His customer service wasn't the best. He seemed more interested in the younger women in this establishment than paying customers. We really don't hang out in breweries, so we had questions. He seemed put off! Hope it was just an off day, but for price we paid for his product, you might think he would be pleased. One of his larger orders for the day I would think. We bought some brews and he even made a comment about us spending so much for the beer. Why would he care? Rude. Our visit was in late summer. Our friends really aren't a fan of his brew. We have several cans left from our dinners, parties. My experience with dealing with the public is to be kind, answer questions, sell product. I guess this brewery has a different outlook. We won't be back.

I'm really late on this review, but this was a great place to end our self-planned wine and brew tour this summer. Located in downtown South Haven, this spot featured that cozy, sort of hole-in-the-wall yet still classy vibe. It was packed that day, and the only seats left were at the bar, which was great if you wanted quick service. They also had live music on the stage in front of the window. The peach cider was great, and we will definitely visit again when in town.

In town last week. Went every day. Great venue! Very open and welcoming. In our opinion hands down the best quality and tasting beer in town. Got a flight of 6 and an each was better than the next, seriously. They know what they're doing. Live music Sat night, and they welcome you to you bring in your own food. Super friendly beertenders.

This is a nice spot downtown South Haven to grab a beer and there is no food. The guys behind the bar were very personable and fun to talk with. Maybe it was just me, but I was not too big a fan of the beer. For example, there was a mango wheat ale that tasted like artificial mango flavoring.

Decided to stop here when we realized that we would have to wait and stand to taste wine. We really enjoyed the flights of beer and ciders. The brewer was very nice and stopped by and chatted with us. Ma' coffee pot, Zoltan, blueberry and peach ciders were some of our favorites. The only thing I would suggest is to offer some food (even pretzels or popcorn) something to cleanse your palate between tastes. They had apparel to buy, I noticed. It was nice and roomy inside.

The bread was perfectly toasted, the meat was flavorful, and everything just worked together. My husband got the club and kept saying how good it was, and both of our kids liked their kids meals. The service was great too. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and our food came out quickly. The only thing that kept this from being a full 5 stars was the ambiance. The building itself has a lot of character and is really cool from the outside, but the inside felt a little dated. Overall though, we'd definitely come back because the food and service more than made up for it!

It was raining and past the dinner rush, so we were pleasantly surprised to have no wait. We had to start with the onion rings, which are a family favorite and never disappoint. We also ordered the Mess of Perch, which is an absolute must every time we visit. My dad chose the walleye, and my son was perfectly happy with the buttered noodles from the kids' menu. The perch and walleye both come with Texas toast and your choice of side, making for a lot of food. I got the French onion soup and it was great. We left completely stuffed and already talking about our next visit. What makes Clementine's so special is that it never tries to be anything other than what it is. In a world where everything seems to change, Clementine's has stayed true to itself, and that's exactly what makes it such a cherished part of our South Haven vacation tradition year after year.

We're from the Grand Rapids area, so it was a bit of a trek being about an hour and a half away. GR has plenty of karaoke options in the surrounding area and a ton of breweries - none that I'm aware of mix the two, nor have anything as unique as this. Seeing as it was our first time here, we didn't know what to expect. It was pretty packed, actually pretty hard to find seating. Thankfully, we were eventually able to get a spot near the stage. One thing to note is that they don't serve food; however there's usually a food truck onsite, so that's nice, if you happen to like the type of food on that particular day. The place was pretty packed, of course it was a Saturday, so wasn't a big surprise. Unfortunately, a few of the adult beverages were unavailable, apparently due to the 10-year anniversary the day before. I first tried the dark bodega Mexican lager, it was good, but not really what I was in the mood for. So, I decided to try something a little different, I'm glad I did. I went with the peanut butter & jelly ale, wow, I was really impressed! I ended up sticking to the PB&J's for the rest of the night. A couple of others in my party, who normally don't like ales, tried the PB&j and thought it was great. All in all, it was a great experience. The karaoke was a blast, some absolutely incredible singers. And I've never seen a crowd so engaged, the place was full of energy, so I'm sure that added to the overall positive experience. If Watermark wasn't so far away, it would definitely be a regular visit for us. We missed the last crowd elimination karaoke event in June, but are planning to make a return trip for the next one in July!
