Yes, the drinks are pricey, but based on the time and attention they put into their ingredients and preparation, I would expect nothing less. If you're a fan of dragon's milk and a quality bourbon, the BEER DRINKER'S OLD FASHIONED is the drink for you. Where else are you going to find a drink made with Dragon's milk syrup? We stopped in for a drink before heading to dinner and had a great experience. The staff were gracious and welcoming as soon as we walked in. We ordered our first round, and the bartender was attentive--checking in to make sure we were enjoying our drinks. We ended up ordering several more before heading out for the evening. Very unique crafted cocktails here. They had a seasonal menu in addition to their standard cocktails so plenty of options. The drinks were good, not groundbreaking. We enjoyed our time but I'm not sure I would come back for 2 reasons. The first is the ambiance here. It's very industrial and it's not what I would expect from a cocktail bar. It's essentially decorated like a brewery and I felt they could have done a little better. Second is that while we enjoyed our drinks we ordered 4 different ones and nothing we felt was so good we had to come back. It's better cocktails than you'll find at most restaurants for sure. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday evening and could not have had a better experience. Their cocktails were amazing. I had the Coffee Guy. It was excellent. It was made with their own vodka, Lake Life Vodka , mixed with coffee, dragon's milk and cream. It was so smooth and delicious. We also had the Caramel Apple , it was Lake Life Vodka with camel, maple syrup and apple cider. I am not a huge fan of apple, but ended up drinking the majority of the cocktail. My husband had a very blue drink, I don't remember the name, but he enjoyed it. Their Origin bourbon was recently named the Best Bourbon according to the 2023 International Spirits competition. My husband and I frequently visit New Holland in both Holland and Saugatuck! The tasting room in Saugatuck has some of the best bartenders you'll ever find - one in particular Beau Troutman. He is incredibly talented at his craft making cocktails but is also so friendly and fun to talk to. Everyone that walks into the bar lights up when they see him. My husband and I really enjoy grabbing a social district drink from the tasting room and walking on the dock looking at all three boats. read more

The young gentleman there really knew their spirits beyond printed tasting notes! Each drinked sampled was easy to drink--I felt without sacrificing alcohol. BEER DRINKER'S OLD FASHIONED--was unique with heavier chocolate note due to molé and Dragon's Milk. It works but honestly it's own cocktail instead of riding on coattails. My wifes BLOODY MARY was one of the best balanced. It took you right to too spicy and did a nice job balancing things. Her FITZGERALD was also nice and light with a bit of a pleasent surprise catch at end. Wife was able to try a cocktail right out of the can and knows it's just as good as the real thing! read more

Fun little cocktail spot. Crazy story though. At dinner before, I said to the table "I'm craving a Caucasian" aka White Russian (go watch Big Lebowski if you don't follow). I also called someone dude when speaking about this drink. So we decided to come to New Holland Spirits for a cocktail after dinner. And sure enough, the menu has "The Dude". It was a crazy coincidence and I couldn't get over it. They also had a spooky dude which is the same with pumpkin spice to it. Great drink, and totally hit the spot. read more

The bartender with the beard, didn't catch his name, was very rude. My wife was outside waiting with the dogs and I gave him mine and my wife's ID and he had sly remarks. I asked him if she needed to come in to prove it was her and he said I guess not. We were also sitting at their outside tables that had a dog bowl near the tables and he said we weren't aloud to sit there with the dogs. We would have been fine with all of that if he would have handled it in a more friendly way. Lastly their cocktails are half the size of what they used to be for the same price. Great place to have New Hollland's and not have to travel, just a walk down the street. The staff were super and the Beer Drinker's Bourbon Old Fashioned was delicious. I am usually a manhattan guy and find an old fashioned a little sweet, but this was awesome. My wife had a seasonal, maybe the rainbow or something like that, and she loved it. Stopped by here during a short vacation in west Michigan- we spotted it while we were walking around downtown Saugatuck. I'm so glad we did! We did a tasting of some of the whiskeys that aren't widely available, as well as the barrel aged and grapefruit gins. I wish we'd had time to have cocktails too, or sit in the outdoor seating and read a book. Staff was so nice and helpful, too. My favorite Spirit was probably the Zeppelin Reserve. I also use their Clockwork Orange as my primary orange liqueur when I'm mixing cocktails at home. The only complaint I have at all is that I would have liked a little bit heavier snack option. There were a few light choices but I didn't feel that they would soak up the booze. Overall, highly recommend! I hope this location does well. read more

This place is great! Great price point for the cocktails, good, friendly service, clean and cool atmosphere. We tried the Bloody Mary, Mule, and Old Fashioned. All drinks were amazing and the Bloody Mary and Mule had good spiciness. Old fashioned had a nice clean taste. We LOVE the Frozen bramble cocktail! We had a few others but we came back for the bramble. They do drinks "to go" so we ordered this delicious slushy to go and kept it in our freezer!
