I booked out 2 weeks in advance for a room, searched for PET FRIENDLY ROOMS, arrive on the day of to check in and am told it is a "No pet hotel" and that "pet friendly" only applies to service dogs. No. That's not how it works. When you list as "pet friendly" it directly implies "a place for pets". If your intention is to only have service animals, you do not list as a pet friendly hotel. This is a contradiction and misleading. It seems humans are devolving into incompetent morons, this place seems to be at the top of the list. Remove "Pet friendly" from your website and sites like Hotels.com where you explicitly state it is a pet friendly hotel. read more

I do not recommend this hotel at all. Management and staff was very unprofessional. Omie was very disrespectful! I stayed in room 201 for 2 nights with my sons 12 and 13 yrs old. We arrived Friday and that night was not pleasant my neighbors where very loud, but I did not complain because I assumed that's normal we're all on holiday. Saturday night I return back to the hotel from an event . My boys are playing and being silly, and ready to shower. So I get a knock at the door from a big man! (A night man) So was a bit startled! No badge or anything (unprofessional) to show that he works for the hotel. He explains there was multiple noise complaints from the residents? Mind you I've only been at the hotel 45 min And the surrounding area wasn't very welcoming. I decided to discuss the matter in the office because I felt it was harassment Why not call? It's late.. Especially If there is an issue, I am single women. So I went to the office I asked to speak the manager Omie Her name is Omie To explain what happened. I spoke to her over the phone . The manager Omie gave me an option to change rooms and toward the end of the conversation she said or you can just check out then if you don't want to listen .." As I'm having a calm conversation she's raising her voice and said I'm going to call the cops on you your yelling and you get off my property Shut your mouth and go back to room ..! Multiple times! Like I'm some type of slave?! I have 2 employees who witnessed this altercation and my 13yr old son heard the entire thing . That upset me the most! The following day Sunday morning Omie decided to speak to me .. She apologized but said I can't help help you're combative and made me frustrated! We spoke for 20 min!!!" I was very confused myself? A taken aback ? What was the point for apologizing if you're just going to insult me again? How is that a long conversation? you where calling me out of my name it's recorded! And once I said that ..she said "I can put you whenever I want, I'm calling the cops !! I said no you can't. I paid for my room my checkout is at 11, as she's yelling at me my 12 yr old walks in the office upset! So my stay as an African American woman, with my boys that are well mannered. Had to experience there mother being threatened to be put in jail over a calm conversation While Omie was yelling an calling me out my name! I did not cuss or yell at this women ! She also lied to my friend that I came to visit and said that the noise complaint was do to domestic violence? Omie told my friend as was leaving That's why there was a complaint "It sound like a man arguing in my room?" That was the crazy lie I've ever heard This was right after Omie threatened to call the cops on me that morning The night worker that came to my room with noise complaint I believe his name was Charles I'm not sure. Said, " it was complaint from residents or maybe the tv.. but my tv sound was on number 24 And my boys were watching fairly odd parents Then Sunday morning as Omie is yelling and telling me off she saying I yelled at my kids ? So which one is it! Who's lying ? If it was domestic violence why didn't Omie tell me when she spoke to me ? When I asked and explained to her her staff how I felt and what was going on ? I felt completely uncomfortable and this place is not safe for minorities or children why did you feel the need harass me an my boys. I've never had some want call the cops on me an yell at me in front of my children. That is sick. Omie is a very unhappy individual And very prejudice I hope and pray the supervisor and the owner hear the recordings And the threats And investigate the situation.. This cause emotional stress me and my children and we did not deserve this I do wish this for this to happen to anyone And I the employees do follow Omies deceitful ways. I will never go back there Unless there is hearing or I need to go court I'll be there! But you will eventually pay for what you put me and my boys through . read more

Omie and her team at Harbor Lite Lodge are amazing. The cozy fireplace in the lounge and the gas firepit outside creates an area to meditate and absorb the beauty and splendor of the area. The stairs leading to the wharf are perfect for getting you to great seafood restaurants and a nice workout on the way back up. The staff are friendly and ready to answer all your questions about the area. The rooms are comfortable and inviting. We had a great time staying there for a women's retreat. The outdoor tables were great for morning and evening chats. We just loved this place! Oh.. and thank you Omie for getting my mini computer mailed back to me and keeping it safe. This place was fabulous. My friend and I wanted a nice relaxing getaway. This place fit the bill. We had an upstairs king, the microwave and refrigerator and a balcony with a view of the harbor below. The location is great because below us were some great restaurants and a few little shops and access to the beach. It was so great to leave our screen door open on the balcony for the fresh air and listen to the seals, barking below. All the things I asked for in a hotel we met by this place. The staff was so great, friendly and helpful, they had coffee and tea available in the lobby, there were several outdoor seating areas and barbecue grill. Great bedding, great water pressure and very quiet. There were lots of cars in the parking lot, but we just didn't feel like we heard any noises from other guests. The hotel decor is older but it's very clean. I was very surprised they had a great TV with Netflix and movie channels. read more

I had a comfortable stay at the Harbor Lite lodge. It is important to note that this is a lodge, thus, do not expect any modern aspects to this hotel. I loved the size of our room, it was equipped with a fire place, a seating area and a closet area as well. We booked the "Studio Deluxe" with Harbor View. I want to mention that I have never stayed at a hotel with so many towels, toilet papers, soaps available! I was shocked at how well stocked the room was! Way to go! It's important to know that the rooms are overlooking the Harbor not the ocean, nonetheless, the views were amazing. Front desk was friendly and the location seemed safe! I stay at the Harbor Lite each year for a week and look forward to it each time. To be at the intersection of the Noyo River and the Pacific Ocean is restorative and relaxing. The full kitchen allowed me to make economical meals and supplant them with a few nice dinners out at the Harbor. It is ideally situated across from the paved walking/biking trail on the Headlands. The rooms are always clean and well provisioned and the staff is gracious and accommodating. I highly recommend the Harbor Lite. read more

Decided to book this place after my husband and I realized the last place we almost went to was pretty gross. This place looked good online and had good reviews, and most of all, CLEAN! This is one of the go to places to stay at in Fort Bragg. The view of the harbor is definitely one of the best things, so get a room with a view. Room is small, but basic enough. Not many electrical outlets, but you will survive. It is near almost all the restaurants and attractions as well. When we first got to the motel, the person at the front desk was frantic but helpful. They seemed to be in a rush because they were quite busy. Water heat is only an issue in the morning, since most people shower in the morning. If you're an evening shower person like us, you will have no problem. Could not go to our room til around 4/5 pm, but it was okay since we did some sightseeing in the mean time. The room was clean and large with a fireplace, but the bathroom was very dated. It's very bright in the morning, so bring eye covers. The first day was great. The next day, however, was a terrible morning. You can hear every footstep above you and when the cleaner was cleaning, she was super loud and we could not sleep in. We told the front desk, and she was great and offered a partial refund. She was respectful and sensitive to my needs. I'll be back, but I will book the top floor only! read more

It was awful. The bed sheets and blankets were so uncomfortable that I barely got any sleep. Not to mention the showers that would switch temperatures randomly, that's a health hazard. My husband and I stayed here this past weekend and we had a decent time. Room was clean with a view and it was very quiet area which was nice. They also have some breakfast foods and coffee when you walk into the lobby which was a good touch also. The only gripe I had was the two times we went to the front desk, the person behind the desk was giving the person in front of us attitude and for no reason and making them feel stupid. Cold room, heater very slow to warm the room at the highest setting, door is a mess from previous repairs and there isn't a 2nd lock, only the doorknob lock which can be opened by any employee with a master key. All guests' names are on display on the wall at the front desk along with their room number...no privacy or security for guests. No breakfast, not even a continental breakfast. This place has changed drastically with new owners and not for the better. They began with one motel and added three more, including the purchase of Harbor Lite. It seems they overestimated what they could handle in expansions based on what we've seen on this visit. We have had group gatherings here for as long as a week, but we won't be back. read more

First thing I noticed when we got in was the blanket had a large stain on it. I went to go ask for a new cover and they gave me a light blanket that couldn't even cover the bed. Then took a shower. Shower doesn't drain. Then got out of the shower to run into multiple long black hairs on the towels. Yes plural, towels. I ended up drying off using the hair dryer. Was supposed to be a romantic getaway, but felt like I was in a really dirty motel and couldn't get comfortable. read more

Stayed here in January for a quick weekend away. The front staff was very nice and upgraded our room for free. They also let us check in early. The balconies are great and i highly recommend getting a room with one. The view is great and so is the location. your walking distance from quite a lot and a short drive to the rest. The room was clean and fully stocked for us. They have some vending machines with microwaveable foods and snacks( they take apple pay too!) complementary hot drinks in the mornings as well. Our room had a fridge and freezer as long with a bathtub. Would highly recommend and will be staying here again. read more

The staff was very accommodating to us checking in super late because we were running behind. The lobby was so cozy with a fire going. Very helpful lady at the front desk who was super helpful and kind... even though the city is very touristy, the hotel was actually pretty quiet.... I would give a 3 star, the place is dumpy and dated, the sheets were clean and the place was cheaper than the others, however Crystal made it a 5 star stay. She is friendly and offered to let us see the rooms first if we wanted too. We had just had a bad experience at the holiday inn where the lady warned us that the only room left was a pet friendly room and refused to let us see it. So we came here and were greeted by the lovely Crystal who was helping others before us telling a cute story about the singing guest in the AM and PM hours (the seals) It's hard to get good help, give here a raise and keep her, Thank you Crystal! read more

Some parts of the room may look outdated, like the bathroom and the air conditioning/heating unit, but don't let that deter you. Everything worked perfectly, the bed was comfortable with soft sheets and the room was CLEAN. This is generally what I care about most. The bed was covered in all white linen, even the top layer that many hotels choose to be dark colored, and there were zero stains, hairs or anything else suspicious. The floors were clean. I walked around barefoot every evening and I didn't feel any grit, nor were the bottoms of my feet dirty. The bathroom was also clean, no hairs in the drain or anything. There was also a massive 55" flat screen tv in the room along with a mini fridge, microwave, and a Keurig with coffee pods and your typical coffee fixings. They also offer light complimentary breakfast snacks in the lobby in the mornings like fresh fruit and prepackaged pastries, granola bars and coffee and hot chocolate . They also have some drinks and microwaveable breakfast sandwiches for a dollar or two. Complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, chips, fruit and cookies were available throughout the day. Location was perfect. We used the stairs on the harbor side of the hotel to walk down to the harbor for some delicious fish and chips and to browse the stores there. There's also a lovely little coastal hike along the bluffs that begins literally right across highway 1 from the hotel. It's called the Ka Kahleh Trail and we walked to the trailhead from the hotel. Beautiful scenery of the ocean on that hike and it leads to a modest, but well cared for, nature center. All the staff were super friendly as well. I really have no complaints. read more

Truly a fantastic place to stay. Management was beyond cool, and even, much to my embarrassment returned my ID to me after a bender. The rooms are standard-sized, but comfortable. They're more than adequate for a weekend getaway, but be warned: no A/C. This wasn't an issue for us, as once I threw open the sliding glass window the heat quickly dissipated. Don't stay here. Fort Bragg is full of drugs and homeless and this hotel clearly caters to them. Booked a room with a balcony/view and spent my entire night breathing in cigarette smoke and listening to rap music instead of the sea life. Called after an hour and let the front desk know and eventually had to close my slider and curtains. Stay anywhere else and find yourself a nice spot on the harbor to enjoy. spent Friday night at lodge. Had harbor view room from third floor. The room was clean and spacious. Hotel was quite, even though the lodge was full. Never heard anybody walking down isle to rooms. No out side noise, except the seals and an occasional fog horn. Walking distance to harbor full of restaurants, to which they all had great fresh seafood dishes. YOu will not be disappointed if you visit. Ask for harbor view room. We will be coming back again soon. read more

We have stayed here three times. It's always clean and comfortable. Great views and right above the harbor. The tv stopped working when we arrived. The head housekeeper came up and tried everything. Then the manager came and spent a long time on the phone with Direct TV. They finally got it fixed. The manager went above and beyond trying to make it right. We were offered another room but we chose to stay as we were unpacked. She also offered to move all of our stuff for us. Upon checkout a couple of days later she gave us a nice discount. This is the type of service you always hope you will get. We will be back. read more
