Hue is my favorite. I'm originally from Missouri so I know hospitality when I see it and she is just that. My first appointment was a great experience. My nails looked great and she even bought me dinner to go at her sisters seafood place next door! THEN this previous trip was just as great when she revived my nails with a beautiful gel polish. I was supposed to get a pedi done too but she didn't have time (after all she is a one-woman-show) so she gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers before I left (I'm guessing as an apologetic gesture). I wasn't even upset, so I tried to give her a $7 tip to show my gratitude for her efforts and she politely didn't accept it. She is truly a great person and does great work to add to it. I love going to Hue for my gel manicures. I have never been consistent with getting my nails done till I met Hue. I am there every three weeks to get a new color or style. Hue is the most caring and kind hearted person I have ever met. She would give you the shirt off her back. I have been going to her for 2 years and she does an amazing job. Hue (Pronounced: Way) at Harbor Nail Salon in Harbor Landing is fantastic with regular mani-pedis and gel mani-pedis and she also does Hard Gel. I gave up on Acylric nails and now I do Hard Gel and I have no more repairs between fills!!! Hue's prices are very fair!!! She also does floral arrangements and alterations which she will have done by the next day at a very good price. Hue is off on Sundays. On Monday through Saturday she will work from as early as 6am until 10:30pm. Hue is a true Angel!!! And a small business person who needs our support!!! read more

I have waited for several months to write this review, and it seems I am the only person to have had a bad experience here. I was brand new to a gel manicure. I scheduled my appointment for 11:45 in the morning but got a call from Hue to come 15 minutes early. When I arrived early she was working on another woman's nails and I waited for another 20 minutes! Not a good start, but would have been okay if the manicure was worth it. The woman who was getting her manicure before me never left the salon during the time I had my manicure. Hue was constantly interrupted by her, and seemed okay with that. Unfortunately, when I left I noticed that my polish was sloppy, overlapping onto my skin in several places. Worst of all, she did not tell me that a gel manicure needs to be removed professionally! When my gel started to lift within 5 days I tried to remove it myself. My nails have been damaged beyond belief. They are still ragged and uneven. They will eventually grow out, but have not done so yet. My nails have never looked so bad. Perhaps it was a bad day for her, but her attention to detail on the day I was there was nil. I did not call her back, as the damage was already done. Just a word of caution from her on removal of the gel would have prevented all this damage. She was probably distracted by her other client, but that is not an excuse. Needless to say, I will not return. read more
