Found this place because Lawrence Auto Repair in Anaheim had their business card, and referred me here to get my new trunk springs installed. LAR wanted me to let them know if they're any good. Called Juan, and made the appointment for Friday, and he suggested the time range for 8-9AM. Friday comes along, and I arrive in what looks like a neighborhood off the busy street of Harbor Blvd (probably Juan's home). No ample parking available, so I pull up at the curb near the packed driveway since I arrived at my "appointed" time range. Some guy yells at my direction telling me my car doesn't have enough parking room with driveway clearance. Already the visit is not going well. I find out the guy is Juan, I introduce myself, telling him I have an appointment to get my trunk springs replaced. He literally says "No, that was yesterday", and I responded "No, I said FRIDAY" (I know because I took the day off work for this, and I literally had my calendar in front of me when I made the appointment). He said he had other cars to work on, so I did not get helped at all! If he thought the appointment was Thursday, I should have received a phone call after 9AM, but did not. He wanted to reschedule, but I knew he wasn't going to remember, so I decided to go home and never come back. I'll be sure to share this horrible experience with Lawrence Auto Repair. So I was in a parking structure and decided to cut over in a turn just a little early so I could scrape the bed of my truck on one of those cement posts. You know, just for fun. It was an awesome move since I was almost done building my truck out and just had the headliner to go. I was so embarrassed and p!ssed!! I talked to my buddy Rick and he told me to hit up Juan at Harbor Paint & Body. He has been going there for like 20 years to paint cars and trucks he custom builds. I almost missed the place when I drove by, it is kind of one of those hidden gems (right across from the BIG yellow Wienerschnitzel). The place is small, super clean, has some NICE cars and the owner/employees are all really nice and respectful. Juan (the owner) checked it out and gave me a quote and date in a couple minutes. I said yes and decided to check out a couple other quotes while I was waiting just for fun. Yup, quite a good deal just like I suspected. Juan was nice, very honest and got the job done earlier than expected. His office has to be the cleanest of any paint shop I have been to, besides the ones with the scammy sales people out front. I have been so stressed out about a ticket I have received due to tinted tail lights, when I bought my tahoe the previous owner had spray painted the taillights and I was calling many shops trying to see of they can try to remove the paint. Many shops where not even trying to help but only sale me on a new pair, others where charging me ridiculous price. Luckily when I called John told me to come in and he would his best to avoid getting new taillights. This was my first time seeking professional auto body paint and dent repair for my 2021 Honda Accord which was damaged by an automatic fence gate on the drivers side. Naturally, I was a little hesitant and skeptical about where to get it fixed especially after consulting another company who's auto shop was a mess but after consulting with Harbor Paint and Body (Repair) I have no regrets. Their shop may be small but they definitely have the material and professional space to get the work done.
