We had 7 girls staying in one room with 3 beds and a pull out couch. It had two toilets. but only one shower. Perhaps a booking issue on our end, but definitely would have been nice to have a second shower :') Other than that, the staff was consistent in replenishing towels and it was great that we had a little kitchenette for our snacks and to hold alcohol. All the shuttle drivers were incredible friendly and chatty too. They all seem like they really enjoy what they do, especially John.

One thing we've learned is that if you have a special request, just ask , they're happy to help whenever they can. Our two-bedroom suite was perfect for our family. We love the layout and found it incredibly comfortable. While many guests prefer the ocean-view rooms, we actually enjoy them, even with the occasional cruise ship in the harbor. Besides, you're in Key West! Take a walk and explore, you'll find gorgeous ocean views all around the island. The location truly couldn't be better. You're within walking distance of Duval Street, Mallory Square, great restaurants, shopping, and so many Key West attractions. After I checked in and tried to get my kiddos situated in the lobby with our luggage so I could go self-park the car I finally got his attention by him calling out "hey, can you move your car?" To which I replied "As soon as I'm done doing what I'm doing. And for the record, I tried to ask you where to park and you ignored me and walked away so... sorry, not sorry?"

I have to tell you that customer service is through the roof here. They were so very accommodating. We arrived at 1 PM knowing that if there was not a room available, we would have to wait until 4 PM but as soon as we arrived, they gave us a beautiful room. The room was spacious, clean, and very relaxing and inviting. The staff text me every day to see if there was anything that they could do for us. When it started to rain, they offered us complementary rain ponchos. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel as it is obvious that they want to make a reputation for themselves for being a hotel with a high level of customer service. Myself, my fiance and my 12 year old son and 6 year old daughter checked in on July 9, 2026. We were room #416. We walked in and the smell of mildew and mold was unmistakable. My six year old daughter immediately started coughing. In normal circumstances mold takes longer to show and the smell would not be that prominent if it was a small amount of mold or mildew. We attempted to air out the room for a few hours while driving our golf cart around town. When we got back the smell was just as bad so I went down to the front desk. The lady was very nice, which is the only decent thing I can say about this property and the employees... But I will get there to the rest and you will understand why. The front desk told me she will have the manager call me in the morning, once 11am came and I did not hear anything I called and was immediately sent to the managers voicemail which was a male. Come 1:30pm I call back for a follow up and I get transferred to the guest service relations manager where I am told no refund or partial refund can be provided since they were not able to rent the suite. Which is astounding to me they would even attempt to re-book that suite after the information I provided. The Guest Relations manager did not seem to like what I said, keep in mind the discussion was very calm and I stated I understand but this is unacceptable that we were even rented that suite to begin with. She then without telling me, transfered me to another managers voicemail where once again I requested a call back to speak with someone. On a better note, we ended up having to book another hotel the night of July 9, 2026 due to the uninhabitable conditions of this location and they were overly accommodating. We highly recommend The Galleon. They couldn't believe either they would rent us a suite like this. I guess you get what you get from being 18 hours away at booking time two months ago, but the way you treat tourists says alot about the company and employees especially when it is almost $500.00 to stay at the Laureate and come out smelling like mold. I hope this review helps other tourists make the right decision and do not waste their money.

On the occasion when we didn't use it the property manager has always rented our week which we get paid for and we always put the money back in. Banyon fantastic. The staff/manager are extremely accommodating and we've never had any issues. The location is perfect it's so close to downtown Key West that you never need a rental car. You'll love the Banyon trees because they keep almost all the noise out so that you get to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Banyon. I highly recommend staying here or even buying into the time share. As for people saying it's pricey what isn't pricey in Key West. It's well worth the cost of enjoying such a beautiful resort.

On top of that the room is almost closet sized with an exposed shower and sink which makes it feel very humid in the room. Theres barely enough space between the bed and wall to walking into the room. The shower also hadn't been cleaned with a piece of old soap stuck to the floor and bug crawling under the pillow when i moved it.. I brought it to the attention of the man working the front desk who first told me it was a queen. The GM came on later that evening and admitted that it wasn't a queen and offered us a slightly larger rom but same size bed. Again the sink was in the room and it was stuffy and humid which made it hard to sleep more than four hours. I canceled the room after one night and tried to get my money back, but they've refused. Do not stay at this hotel. The "queen room" is basically just a hostel at hotel prices. $260 a night in my case.
