We went on a Saturday early evening and although the place was almost empty, we got asked if we had a reservation.... Umm I don't think we needed one. No wonder they are closing but we are still sad about that. We waited for about 7 minutes for someone to approach our table! When she did, she immediately apologized took our drink order and told us to pick an appetizer on the house! Now that's how you handle that situation! And the reason for the 4 star review. We actually got the pepperoni flatbread pizza for our appetizer and I am so happy we did because it was so yummy! I was pleasantly surprised honestly! Both of us got Burgers with fries and tots which were really good too! The waitress really made our visit special after a bad start to our dinner! This place is so complicated for me; I see it both as from when I was a child going before a night at the Comedy Barn, and as my more recent experiences as a fully grown adult! As a child, it was a bit more well kept and almost majestic, but I could tell this most recent visit that the building interior and exterior could use some work. Otherwise, the live entertainment was incredible and food was exactly what I expected, and that's exactly what I needed for my nostalgia trip up to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Service was a bit spread thin and upon entering the restaurant there were no hosts to let us know where to go or wait for them; very strange entrance way. We started walking to the right of the host stand, met immediately by a gentleman running up. Servers were also stretched thin, but much friendlier! We're frequent Smoky Mountain visitors, and may be back but with all of the local and less corporatized options you reading and I have to enjoy in this glorious town and region, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't return until we have kids. We got to Hard Rock around 8:10. We didnt realize they close at 9 but as soon as we stepped in everyone was so friendly and greeted us. Reassured us it was ok we were there that late. We had a Caesar salad with steak, a kids pizza and a steak with potatoes and vegetables. The kids ate all the pizza, I wish I had just got a plain salad (it was great even with the steak), and my husband and son split the steak! It was pricey but it was great! So we had dinner here on June 22 at 7pm. I forgot our servers name but she was really awesome. I want to give a shoutout to her our reservation is under Miller for 3 on the 22nd of June. Anyways, we arrived a tad bit early so we visited the rock shop first to kill some time. Once we were seated we were greeted by our server immediately and got us some waters. I got me some long island iced tea ofcourse in their souvenir glass. I was bummed that they were sold out of the mason jar but the compensated and allowed me to get the other souvenir glass of my choosing. Food(5/5): Appetizer: One night in Bangkok Spicy Shrimp Highly recommend if you love seafood. Not to spicy just perfect enough spices on the shrimp Margherita Flatbread: another good choice for a meal. My mom had this as her entree. Entree (5/5): Steak Fajitas: I wasnt able to taste this but my moms husband enjoyed it very much. Swiss Mushroom burger: I ordered this burger and I finished every single bit of it. This burger was really good and was cooked right. For the first time, I've been to a hard rock cafe that actually has great food and great service. The ambiance is always great at Hard Rock Cafe, they always say take a walk while you're waiting on your food which makes the wait well worth it for the food. Sad this was the first time that I was distracted by the scenery and forgot to take pictures of my food. Best part is that there was not much of a wait when we stopped in for lunch. Hard Rock Cafe Pigeon Forge is a beautifully designed and spacious restaurant, and worth taking in a meal when visiting the Great Smoky Mountains and Pigeon Forge area. I absolutely love the artist murals up on the walls along with the memorabilia that Hard Rock Cafe is known for. For food, we went with the HRC nachos, southwest chicken bowl, fried chicken sandwich, and impossible burger. We all agreed the food was delicious. I was quite impressed with a few of the new menu items. The fried chicken was a generous filet cooked to perfection with a little bit of a kick in the seasoning almost along the lines of the Tupelo chicken tenders. The southwest chicken bowl was also a great new option, hitting all the right flavor notes. Service by Brandy was friendly and perfectly paced. The manager, Hillary, stopped by and made sure we had a great rocking time, and definitely made us feel special considering we were celebrating a birthday, and had 2 globetrotting Hard Rock visitors in the house. All things considered with the great atmosphere and delicious food, this Hard Rock Cafe is one I'd recommend a visit to. read more

We had two dogs and sat on the patio. It was a beautiful evening! The burgers were good portions and tasted great. The fries were salty and crispy, and our pups even had a special meal (free!) made just for dogs, which was awesome. We loved that everyone was really friendly and chill. The first indication this was going to be a bad experience was the amount of cars in the parking lot... not many. The service was terrible, the food was terrible, the drinks were terrible. The margarita was the worst I have ever had, it was not even margarita mix, it was just sweet and sour and lime, it was awful!! I took the drinks back to the bar, the bartender pretended she was going to make a new one, pretty sure she just put a fancy toothpick in it and sent it to the table. We ordered a ceaser salad add steak, a Cobb salad came out. I pointed it out to server that the wrong salad was sent out, she was indifferent... I asked her what she put in, she looked at notes and said ceaser....again indifferent. I ordered the shrimp from Bangkok, it was extremely overcooked it had been sitting in the window forever. It has been a long time since I have had a dining experience like this. I can see they only make money at this franchise in the summer when it's packed and people don't have a choice. Enjoyed a terrific late lunch at Hard Rock Cafe in Pigeon Forge. We made a reservation on Open Table, and despite arriving ~45 minutes early we were seated in ~5 minutes. Harry, our server, came over right away and was very friendly and communicative. Throughout our time he was extremely prompt, kept our drinks full, engaged friendly with our kids, and overall added to our experience. One of the managers even came over to thank us for reserving a table on Open Table. The food was great, and we look forward to coming again next time we are in town. read more

We loved our visit ! Our server , Brandy , was super awesome and I loved her energy . She had her hands full dealing with several large tables but she was always attentive to see if we needed anything . I got the southwestern bowl and it was fantastic ! They had gluten free options and our server was very knowledgeable about gluten free options on the menu - even told us about GF tator tots not in the menu, although I didn't try them. My family and I had a reservation Christmas Day and were finally seated after waiting 45 minutes. The hostess said that there was a long wait because "no one wants to get up from their tables". Once we were seated, we immediately put our drink and food order in since we had plenty of time to look at the menu prior to being sat. It took 20 minutes just to receive water and soda and another hour and a half to receive our food. The service was awful but our server seemed to be the only person working there with any sense of urgency. I don't fault her for her lack of service since she was running around the restaurant running drinks, food, taking orders and dealing with angry customers. However, I noticed other servers spending 10+ minutes chit chatting and sitting with tables. I didn't get her name but she had split dyed hair with tattoos and piercings. She was very nice and understanding, so I feel bad that she was put in a position where she had to be the brunt of everyone's frustration. We all ordered burgers which were for the most part pretty decent. However, my sister's burger was completely stale and tasted off. Later that night she was retching over the toilet for hours. I thought maybe we had a bad experience because it was Christmas Day but after looking at other reviews and seeing people had similar experiences, it has to be a management issue. We spent a total of three hours at that restaurant, which is the same amount of time it took for us to drive here from Nashville and around the same time it took for us to fly here from San Diego. I would highly recommend literally any other restaurant in the area. read more

Ventured here for dinner because other places had too long of a wait which is expected for such a busy touristy location. Loved our server, Sam. She was great and efficient. We enjoyed the strawberry basil lemonade......very tasty. The loaded tots were awesome, but I was pretty full afterwards and really didn't need to order an entree. Friday, September 19th, we made a reservation for 15 people to celebrate three (3) birthdays during our family vacation. The entire party arrived, we were given a waitress ( I don't recall her name but Ms. Tina Wilson will know her name.) We all got seated and the waitress arrived at our table, as soon as she arrived at our table she appeared annoyed and rude. (No one had spoken to her yet.) She said, she was going to take our drink orders, Melissa one of our birthday people, started to say we can tell you how we are divided the checks, she snapped at Melissa and said "I'm taking your drink order", rudely. Melissa said, I was just trying to help you out with how we were paying. She snapped at Melissa again, I'm taking your drink order. By now our birthday girl (who was also paying for most the people, was extremely upset. The waitress returns, with drinks, makes several trips, then snaps at Melissa and tells her to move the other drinks, she has 3 drinks in her hand to sit down and the other drinks are in her way. Melissa's daughter, 6 asks the waitress about something on the way and she raised her voice and said I'm trying to deal with drinks, I have 3 in my hands. The whole party is livid. Then she comes to take our orders, as people are ordering the food, she is rudely making comments, like are you getting the fires with that? What side do you want snapping at people. Melissa's husband goes to order the chicken mac and cheese, the waitress rudely says you don't want that it's spicy. They said thanks for letting us know. Melissa's Husband said, I'd still like it, the waitress says no you don't. As she took the other 15 orders, she was not listening to what we were trying order, she was more telling us what to order. While she was taking the rest of the orders, I got to the gift shop to buy something in memory of my dad. I'm speaking to the cashier about all the Hard Rocks, I've been too. She news and trying to learn the register, I'm in no rush just chatting as she learns, I asked her if they take AAA discount like before. She said, she was unsure, as we are talking the GM Dennis walks up and rudely asked her in there is a problem. I asked if they took discounts for AAA, he doesn't say anything, if not I asked do you take AARP for Military, GM Dennis snapped at me and said you cant use all 3. I didn't even bother to respond back, that was not what I said. He approached the register nasty before the conversation, my reaction it's not worth wasting my time saying I didn't say that when he was already a complete jerk. He walked off from the register, the cashier was still having issues so Ms. Tina walked over and helped us all out. She was very kind and patient with the new cashier and me. Dennis came back being rude again and saw Tina was fixing it and walked off. When I get back to the table Melissa is almost he tears, it appears our waitress started jerking the menus out our party of 15 hands after we order. Melissa purposely help on tight when she tried to jerk hers. That was the last straw. Melissa went over to Dennis and Tina while they were setting up for a party and stated we were leaving, we'd like to pay for the drinks and appetizer we order but we were not going to be treated like this from their staff. Dennis told her we could not leave rudely. Melissa stated we were paying for the sodas and appetizer and leaving. He stated we were not allowed to leave because he had placed our orders. He finally agreed to give us a new waitress. Dennis was an absolute jerk. Tina came over very polite and got us a new waitress Jacquline. We told Tina we were celebrating 3 birthdays until this fiasco started and it ruined our whole evening. We talked about how I have been to Hard Rocks all over the USA, collected the bears and had never been treated so shitty by a waitress and General Manager. We all stated we would never be coming back to a Hard Rock again. Two people ruined the Hard Rock name for all of us and 3 birthday celebrations. read more
