Ate here recently and I believe this is the worst run restaurant I've ever seen. Everything was greasy, from the floor to the ceiling. Even the WiFi unit on the ceiling had massive amounts of dust adhered to it. The tables were all dirty and it was clear to us they did not care. The food was passable (as much as any badly operated restaurant can be) but there is an element that surrounds this establishment that made us nervous. For instance, one guy came in, did not order anything, used the restroom and left. Pretty obvious he had done that before. Another individual came in, acted as if he were going to order something, but went to the parking lot and drifted between two cars. Looked very suspicious. Oh! Poor Hardees manager! Been on am duty alone for several days. So bad that she locks the doors and forces customers through drive-thru. Well we just left the eye Dr and needed some late breakfast. And they were close by as it was about 10:45 and breakfast stops at 11:00. So we hit the drive thru as we had those stylish glasses they give you at the Dr office. They were fast and efficient got our food and headed home. Horrible service. I went by on Sunday afternoon for a quick bite on my way home. After standing at the counter for 5 min, 2 employees stood chatting with each other about personal items--ignoring me, another employee saw me come to her register and she turned and walked away, another was reading at a chair in the lobby looked at us and went back to reading. We asked if we should leave and go somewhere else and again we were ignored. We left, went to a different store and commented about the experience at this Hardee's. This is where you go when all hope in the world has been completely lost. Terrible service, filthy facilities, and a staff consisting of people who have clearly succumbed to minimum wage woes. No eye contact. No personality. No ambition to perform the most basic tasks of customer service and fast food job like friendliness, and cleaning. The one clear advantage this place has is that it just elevated to the top three most disgusting bathrooms I've ever had the "benefit" of using. These people cannot get an order right the first time. When you order hash rounds they are usually dumped in the bag. And there will be at least one if your burgers will be wrong. My question is do they ask if they can read and understand the menu. There is a breakdown somewhere between placing your order and picking up your order. I work in the downtown Hopewell area and unfortunately this is the worst Hardees in town. Went thru the drive thru - ordered onion rings and a hot dog. Took 30 minutes, that's right 30 minutes to get to the window and I said I ordered onion rings and a hot dog. "We don't have any onion rings." I responded what about fries, her response was "don't have any of those either". At 12:45 in the afternoon you don't have fries or onion rings? What's up with that? This is the worst Hardee's I have had the non-privilege of experiencing. It took the staff 15 minutes to get us a grilled chicken sandwich, a double cheeseburger and two orders of fries. The fries had been sitting in the infrared warmer for hours, many of the fries were only two or three inches long and the sandwiches were just ok. On top of that this set me back $15. Bad deal. Much better than the other Hardee's in Hopewell. The food is much fresher, and the service is much faster. In addition to the faster service the staff is also much more friendly as well. I love the breakfast and you can't go wrong with the loaded omelet biscuit or the Frisco breakfast sandwich. If you are in Hopewell and want to go to Hardee's do yourself a favor and go to this location (downtown) instead of the other location (midtown). read more
