Barbeque sandwich with coleslaw and hot sauce. My 2 sides French fries and onion rings.
    Dan J.

Normally don't have a problem with Cook Out's food. For some reason the Barbeque sandwich was dry, even with hot sauce and coleslaw. Service was quick considering when I got there the line was out the door. After the line died down it was somewhat quiet.

    Pulled pork sandwich.

Burger wasn't even cooked all the way. Raw in the middle. Don't eat here you'll get rude service and raw food.

It was industrial and sturdy looking. She loved the orange color in the ceiling. We ordered the ribs with mac and cheese and a kale salad as sides, the pulled chicken kids meal, and the Moonfry dessert. I thoroughly enjoyed my food. The portion size in the kids meal was satisfying and could honestly feed an adult. I wouldn't mind giving this place another try.

It sounded like a dream for any BBQ lover, and in terms of portion size and presentation, it definitely delivered. The ribs were bite-off-the-bone tender, the chicken was cooked just right, and the brisket sliders had great texture. You can tell the meat is treated with care and cooked low and slow. But the seasoning? That's where things went off the rails. Everything -- and I mean everything -- was buried under an avalanche of black pepper. The ribs were so heavily dusted it distracted from the smoky flavor. The chicken leg quarter had potential, but each bite felt like a challenge to get past the burn. And the brisket sliders? Great meat, but lost under that same peppery overkill. I'm not against spice, but this wasn't "well-seasoned" -- it was just over-seasoned. When every item on the plate tastes more like black pepper than meat, it's hard to enjoy the variety. Service was quick, and the staff was friendly. The concept is solid, and the value is definitely there. I'd go back but be hesitant -- but I'll be asking them to hold back on the pepper next time so I can actually taste the BBQ or try another location. The restaurant was clean and updated real nice.

Like his namesake, Pepe Lepew, that tantalizing smell from the smokers hit me nearly a block down the street. From the little history on the menu, that was one of the reason's LePough started his barbeque stand when he was stationed at Fort Lee- there were a number of restaurants that called themselves barbeque but didn't have smokers working right outside. They either barbequed their items off location or didn't do "true barbeque". Very casual ramshackle joint, but it could easily fit large groups as I imagine them to have on the weekends. Knew I had to go to a graduation dinner, so I just ordered 3 bones of pork ribs and a container of collard greens. The ribs smelled so good I had to try one right away! Succulent, moist, and falling off the bone! Best ribs I've had in awhile! Total for my snack- $10, very reasonable. LePough's specializes in the Carolina mustard barbeque sauce, but I believe you can ask for a tomato-based one instead. You don't need much, the barbeque is pretty flavorful by itself. Can't wait to go back and try more of his offerings the next time I'm in the Fort Lee area. Definitely repeat and recommend!

I was going to give this place a 4 star rating but the women there are very friendly and beautiful. La chica de rojo, Muy Bonita. I'm talking movie level hot. Well, the food was great. Someone new has taken over and has ruined it. Prices are crazy high anymore. This past weekend I called in an order for 18 tacos as a platter style thing for a birthday party, rice, cheese, sour cream, pico, like a whole chipotle bar. The idea was perfect. My brother was going to have a party with a few friends and I was going to get to feed everyone. I go to the restaurant, she hands me my bags, and I go to my brothers. Open the pack, and had a total of six tacos worth of food in all of this packaging. I called and the manager said she would deliver personally and she did. I appreciated the effort but it was an hour after we started eating the first part of the food and cake and basically I wound up taking a ton of food home to just trash because everyone was full from cake. They didn't even bring anything as an apology. Mentioned the birthday and couldn't even bring a piece of cake. It always stinks in here anyways and feels like i am inside of a yield sign, not coming back.
