The setting gives you that feeling of the Philippines the food selection along with the desserts and mini market is a one stop shop..the staff is very fast giving you the service only one can imagine.. highly recommend

    Lechon and garlic fried rice

We really enjoyed the halo-halo, and the lechon was good. We swapped the white rice for garlic fried rice (for an extra fee). Everything could have used a bit more salt, but overall, it was good. The staff were very friendly.

food was delicious and staff very helpful. The mixing of drinks crushing ice was a little annoying, but my daughter loved her refresher.

I love spicy, hot foods! Nothing could have prepared me for the heat that HJHC is packing! I usually go for medium when trying spice levels because I respect a good pepper but have also been heavily disappointed by other restaurants. Let's just say that my sinuses got a reset that first day. The service is friendly, precise and informative. The staff really want to ensure a good experience. I was so focused on the proteins that I neglected to try the sides. I don't think I'm the only one who does this. In any case, we got a mild chicken sando, a Messy sando, and a 12 wing special (12 wings for $12), along with drinks. This location has an ATM, individual stall bathrooms for men/women and a small seating area. Napkins are on the table and I strongly suggest you grab a bunch, have wetnaps ready or better yet, wash your hands after eating! This place is great! Good find even if it's not fancy.

I didn't know the sauce would be drizzled on the slider. But it was ok! I'm not a sauce girly but it gave the tender flavor! I got not hot for my spice level! I also typically get no salt on fries, but wanted to try the full experience. They weren't too salty. If you're going during a not busy time, still prepare to wait about 10 mins after your food is ordered. Which is ok for fresh food, My sandwich wasn't hot. I also liked the kale salad. It's like a cousin of cole slaw! I was also surprised at how big the tender was for the slider.

The wind from an incoming rainstorm knocked over the giant inflatable chicken outside. I made up my mind right then and there to stop by for a visit one day. When I finally got around to giving it a try, I dined in and was only semi-pleased. The staff were very nice, as the district manager was there at the time. The chicken itself can get quite chewy and hard to bite. The sauce is OK at best. The fries leave a little to be desired. The spiciness levels are very noticeable when requested at high volumes. I like that they offer slices of pickles with everything you order. The bread isn't too bad, as long as it's not soggy. When you order one of the Mozzarella Cheese Planks, they give it to you in a little box with a cup of sauce, a slice of bread, and a couple of pickles. I was not expecting it to have such a presentation and I have to admit, the charming nature of it almost brought a tear to my eye. It was just about the cutest damn thing I've seen in a long time. I mean, who thinks enough to do that!? Just pure thoughtfulness, that's what it was! It is VERY loud inside and the music choices aren't great. The interior is very flashy and riddled with graffiti-styled "Art". The one on Battlefield is a little better food-wise, I have to say. Which is disappointing. Maybe I'll give this one another try in the future. I still feel bad for the giant inflatable chicken that fell over in the parking lot that night. A force of nature shouldn't hinder the efforts of plastic poultry that's just trying to get the word out about Hot Dave and his line of spicy offerings.

We honestly have no idea what everything else on the menu is like, because we always get the half chicken with beans, rice and pico, and the delicious jalapeño corn muffins. The chicken is always super tender; the sauce they cover it with is so delicious; the skin is always the perfect amount of cooked and packed with flavor. They have a very spicy sauce that my partner loves, and I always get the orange sauce. There are others! The drink selection is quite good, with a ton of variety. They even had the seriously-rare grapefruit Jarritos the last time I was there. It's my favorite, but for some reason nobody ever has it! So I'm assuming this place is under new management or at least decided to care about Yelp reviews, given that they have been verified for only a week. I was contacted by the management to take my photos down of the horchata that was allowed to sit long enough for the mix to settle, with an absorbent amount settled at the bottom, stating that "natives are aware of this," so I should basically not be accepting of this possibility. As if I don't understand and assumed because I'm not a "native" that I never made horchata. Let it be understood: I have visited many Mexican, Tex-Mex restaurants, let alone the fact that I love this sweet treat that I made myself, so I'm WELL aware of the possibilities of the mix settling. First off, it should have been some notification that the drink had been sitting for so long that it would need to be churned again... or... maybe you could have just made me a fresh drink rather than provide one that sat long enough that at least a half inch in height of horchata mix settled at the bottom of my beverage that I couldnt even drink through the straw. No one should ever contact someone who made a review over four years ago. Asking for them to delete photos based on their understanding of how a beverage should be presented or served (given that I'm not a native). I feel that was very unprofessional. Especially since they just verified this page enough to care about any of the bad reviews posted in the past, many of them have been removed since they're at five stars now, since they've been verified in the past week. Might I add that? They contacted me the same day that they verified their page. I have the screenshot to prove it. But I won't add it because I don't want them to try to take that down either.
