We received multiple bids to install over 2000 square feet of vinyl flooring to replace carpet in an older home. Erik's bid was neither the highest, nor lowest, but the most detailed, picking up on small details like running the flooring into closets with appropriate transitions, double checking of how we wanted the flooring to run and like. Super professional, with excellent communication, great work and outstanding results. No surprises at all. As others have noted one of the big uncertainties with LVP flooring is how even your floor is, and we knew going in that our older home likely had floor problems, and Erik made sure the bid included that possibility, and when the carpeting was removed, he invited us to inspect it first hand, and additionally provided photos showing the uneven surface. (When you can place a six foot level on the floor pointing from the wall and the tip ends up around an inch and a half above the floor surface towards the center of the room, the problem is pretty obvious.) Installing LVP can be expensive, but you are paying for skill and reliability and Erik and his team delivered both. read more

I had the back of my kitchen island updated. I wanted paneled wood to match my existing cabinets. Erik, the owner, was extremely professional from the initial estimate all the way to the finished project. He came to my home, provided the estimate and placed the order in a timely manner for the cabinetry needed. Unfortunately the wrong pieces came, but Erik and Naz didn't want to leave me waiting as the order had already taken weeks to arrive. Naz constructed and stained wood that day to custom match my cabinets as best he could. Erik called after the temporary pieces were placed and gave different options to try and rectify the error that occurred. He seemed to genuinely care if I was happy with the process and results. I ended up asking for a re-order. There was a delay with the second order from the cabinet company (not at the fault of Erik) but when the correct pieces came it was well worth the wait. Getting a (very competitive) quote and revisions was quick and painless, and I had new flooring and stairs two weeks later. For transparency, this review was from David's flooring of Seattle when Erik was part of that team. That said, I am writing this review as an add on to Hardwood Plus since he and the crew that worked on my house then is now part of this new business and would like visibility for Hardwood Plus. My review from Jan 19, 2024 taken from David's flooring _____________________________________________________________________________ This is a long one but TLDR: Quite an unexpected experience met with professionalism and understanding despite the shortcomings of my LVP flooring project. ____________________________________________________________________________ After reaching out, I was contacted by Erik after visiting their studio showroom down in Kent. Though something to note for those into cyber security, their email is not recognized as secure and it immediately went to my spam folder. So keep that in mind if you use encrypted email like protonmail. But I digress Erik met with me and I gave him my budget, flooring type, and time frame and he ensured that everything will be taken into account. I then had my property measured and was told ahead of time that my subflooring was most likely cracked and needed to be re-leveled with concrete which would put me overbudget. I also needed approval from my HOA getting documents such as proof of valid licenseship and flooring materials that meet or exceed standards for the property. Thankfully Erik was able to give all the necessary documents to me in a timely and professional manner which as mentioned before, was not provided from the business I attempted to get flooring services from. Crew came by on the registered date and took out my old 80s carpet flooring and unfortunately the worst case scenario came up where my subflooring needed to be re-leveled with concrete costing me a few thousands more over my budget but urgently needed to be done to protect me in the long run. While I do not blame David's flooring for this, I am happy that Erik was able to disclose this for me ahead of time to help cushion the shortcomings and stress that it brought me Crew then did the necessary work putting in new concrete, respected my appliances, put everything back, tried to fix my toilet which ended up cracking during the flooring installation, and ensured that all my LVP flooring was put together in a professional manner. 2 weeks later writing this review, my flooring looks great and im enjoying the new LVP Gaia flooring that I have. From the very start of the projects, to the completion of three separate jobs, Erik made the process easy and convenient for us, clearly communicating throughout the work and delivering beautiful results. I've worked with numerous vendors over the years, and Erik's team is the single best team I have ever worked with. After meeting with four vendors, the decision to go with Hardwood Plus was obvious. For one: Erik was the only one to mention the unevenness of our "finished" basement. Given that we wanted to install LVP, it was shocking no other company mentioned it -- the height differed in inches between some spots! Erik's expertise was obvious from the start. Secondly, Erik is unmatched in his convenience to work with. Whereas other vendors needed us to visit distant showrooms with limited hours on weekend, Erik was able to do the travel himself and send pictures with detailed descriptions through text. Right before the work was scheduled, we reviewed the downstairs and discovered the wall behind the oven was never finished. I am super pleased with Hardwood Plus LLC. I had about 2,000 sq. feet of carpet work to be done. My whole upstairs, including the stairs needed to be completely replaced and Hardwood Plus did It in better than I ever imagined. Not only was the work done with AMAZING quality, it was finished in what felt like a heartbeat. My office room upstairs, as well as some other parts of the upstairs had a loud squeaking noises when we would walk over them. The subfloor was squeaking in many areas and the crew cleaned it all up completely, now I rarely hear anything. I was most happy with that because the squeaking was the WORST. On top of that, I truly felt my home was respected. All my walls, furniture and little clutter I might've had around the place was completely covered. The surrounding areas were always clean and it never felt like a mess, even with all the work going on. Erik spoke with me throughout the whole process.
