Lack of communication...title screw ups. After six weeks, my state tag office still had not received the paper work and my temp tag runs out the next day. I called Hardy Chevrolet and asked for Title person...asked her where the paperwork was and she replied that they had a new third party firm doing title work...I asked her to find out where the paperwork was...she called back and said that they did not process it because a necessary form wasn't signed and a copy of the registration of the trade wasn't provided (and why did't the dealer provide them ?)...neither the dealer nor their title agent contacted me..I had to ask them after six weeks...Oh..and they could not issue me another temporary tag until this was straightened...so, I have not been able to register the car that I have had for six weeks and will have no valid tag tomorrow.... read more

We own an auto repair shop in Prattville. We purchased a part from Hardy Chev on March 26,2026 that is currently on back order from GM. The part came in broke. Hardy Chev response is to bad. The man we spoke to says that GM corporate only gives 10 days to do a return. However one of my local dealerships tells me that gm gives 90 days. I am trying to figure out how to get my $300 back. I will be calling GM headquarters. read more

Had the worst service ever from this dealership. Took my 2024 Silverado in for 3rd service (20000 miles) after a couple weeks got low oil level warning, they had added 2 quarts less oil back than required. Later lost one wheel lug ( they rotated tires) .... replaced and checked other lugs and others were not tightened correctly. Called the service manager and he didn't seem all that concerned. I'll never be back and hope no one else has this experience! I realize that everyone makes mistakes, that is why you have procedures to catch them before they leave the shop. Not checking after adding oil just shows gross lack of professionalism. read more

Took my vehicle to get repaired after an accident, was missing my door controls.. found it two days later under my seat.. the protector under my fender was not locked in with clips.. I didn't realize it until after my 4 hour drive away from home the day I got it.. and it was completely trashed and ruined. Read Bumper wasn't fully painted.. bigger stripe of Matt black. DONT EVER BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP OR GET YOUR CAR REPAIRED HERE. They are the most dishonest, untrustworthy people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I brought my 2022 Chevrolet Traverse up there a few months ago with a noise coming from underneath. I waited 3 hours and the service tech came out with my papers and said my vehicle was fixed, I had an exhaust leak and it was COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. So I left and was satisfied with the outcome. Well, not long after, I started hearing the same noise again. So I call up there and Katie told me they would be more than happy to fix it since obviously is wasn't fully fixed the first time. I brought my vehicle to them and they called me to tell me there is another exhaust leak but that it wasn't covered under warranty WHEN I WAS TOLD OTHERWISE LAST APPOINTMENT AND IT WAS "FIXED" UNDER WARRANTY. (I have a full warranty up to 36,000 miles and only have 25,000 on my car) They don't care about their customers and their community. All they care about is how much money they can STEAL from their customers. Not to mention, I was spoken to with 0 respect. I was belittled and talked to with sarcasm the entire time. Honestly, when we go look at cars, the first thing my bf and I do is check Hardy's dealership website to see if they have what we are looking for. My compliant is with Hardy Chevrolet in Gainesville, GA who sold me a used 2007 vehicle on June 15th 2013. This vehicle was on their used lot and was a trade in sometime in 2013. My compliant stems from the receiving of the vehicle to finding out 2 days later that the vehicle had never actually been serviced properly by the Hardy dealership before putting it up for sale to the public. I brought the vehicle into a local repair shop in Duluth 2 days after purchasing the vehicle as the SUV was driving terrible and leaking fluids. The local repair shop in Duluth, GA stated the following after a full inspection of the SUV: Repairs needed - Powering Steering hose removed and replaced, Engine Oil Cooler Lines, removed and replaced, A/C Compressor Belt Tensioner/Idler replaced, Transmission Flushed, Transfer Case Drained and Refilled, Differential Cover Gasket Replaced both front and rear. 4 tires need to be balanced ( brand new ) Did I mention the dealership added the new tires without properly balancing them? Total cost to me - $1,071.21 My problem with this is the dealer never went through the SUV, they basically washed it, sprayed black paint under the car, cleaned it up on the inside and put it up for sale at 32K without doing even a basic services to this vehicle. I asked the dealership for some reimbursement to no avail did anyone other than the Internet sales person (Marie) call me and said that Dale ( Mgr of the used cars division ) wasn't available and that he didn't even return her calls until after 4pm that same day. I would suggest strongly rethinking buying a used car from the Hardy Chevrolet dealership as this is just my experience all within 5 days and I've still received no calls to resolve any of this from management or anyone from the dealership. My 2 cents, buy elsewhere and save yourself a headache. read more

I just had two vehicles repaired at the Hardy Chevrolet Body Shop ... having been "blessed" to have both vehicles rear-ended by uninsured motorists within a week's time frame! To say that I was a little hot ... was a gross understatement! Working with insurance companies, claim forms, deductibles, and so on ... is never easy ... and most times, it is downright frustrating. However, a very nice man named Mike Burns runs the Body Shop ... and he basically told me ... "I've got this". He waded through red tape, wrong parts, changing estimates, and much more ... always keeping us informed of progress ... telling us when something would cause a delay ... refusing parts that weren't up to his standard ... and always telling us, "I've got this". He did have this. And we got back two vehicles that looked like they had just come off the showroom floor ... he even had our vehicles washed and cleaned inside and out, tires and dash done with Armor-All, etc. ... because that was "The Hardy Way". Mike, you are a great representative of your company ... we will be back for our other vehicle needs (just because of your example) ... and they should give you one of the NEW golf carts! :) read more

Totally disappointed with the way my son was treated by the service manager. Jerry Roberts My son took our 2010 camaro for some work to be done on the back bumper where the license plate light had come out of the housing. Which is a common problem or should a say factory defect. Where they agreed to fix even though it wasn't under warranty. With a hundred dollar deductible. So my son just asked for something in writing like a estimate of what work was to be performed. Knowing there was going to be some body work done since the faulty housing had let the bulb come out of the housing and burn a hole in the bumper. Mr Roberts got very rude saying he doesn't need a paper saying anything. Got very loud so my son had to ask for a manager. Which did handle it.But would never have any service done there or buy there again. I own a 2013 2500hd duramax 2011 gmc Sierra slt and the 2010 Camaro ss. Plus other gm products still in the driveway. Very disappointed just shouldn't treat people like that. Yes I have purchased many vehicles here including the Camaro. Never again. Recently bought a Nissan Leaf through internet sale from Hardy Chevrolet . Bob Maple was sales person . We have purchased many cars In past 2 decades by far this is the best customer service We have ever received . Unlike other dealership they were very Straight forward and quickly finalized the best price in couple phone calls . Abosulutely no hidden fees as they have keep Theo cost down . Doc fees are 1/3 of what other dealers offer . For some reason I could not charged the battery in the night on the day I purchased the car . I texted Bob at 10 Pm in night and was very nurvous thinking There is a big issue and what is the dealership raise hand since it's used car. Bob call me back at 10.05 Pm and gave me assurance of taking care of it . Bob and dealership called me first thing in the next day morning to followup. later I got car fixed with Nissan dealership. But I must say their Honesty , integrity and straight forward sale approach was unbeatable. It's a family owned dealership and has been carrying the strong core values . Tried to see pictures of a van I wanted to buy but unless I spoke with the man who took the pictures of the van no deal.. What's sorry about this is because I didn't have a cell phone and I am deaf so there is no need for one. He only wanted my cell to call and tell me about about the van. BS I have been looking at this van for months if not years I know more about the cars he sells than they do. I am so tired of watching them get my money for nothing but standing around! I have my car only serviced here, it is a 2015 Camarillo Z/28. Every visit has been more than pleasing, they are as helpful as can be. I had my car serviced at John Metal Chevy and that was easily the worst experience. Since then I only go back to Hardy for everything. read more
