Weekend Breakfast Buffet Review This is our third visit for buffet. The breakfast items were generally good, with the exception of the sambar, which was watered down, and the vada, which was overly salty. The pricing is reasonable--$10.99 for adults and $5.99 for kids. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the buffet area was very disappointing. The lids on the buffet trays were dirty, and the serving tongs were left resting directly on the table. We had to request staff to clean the lids and provide plates for the tongs. We ordered a level 4 spice in the masala they put level 3 on the ticket. When we received the order the food had no spicy what so ever. So I took it back and kindly asked for them to enhance the spice level since I asked for a level 4. They did and said to give them 10 minutes. After waiting I went back up it seemed like they forgot but they did give me a new batch. To my disappointment it was even less spicy somehow than the first batch which I already felt lacked flavor. Very disappointing I love this restaurant but this location let me down. read more

Worst Goat Biriyani ever that we bought in DFW Area. The 5 pieces they put in Biriyani had absolutely no meat at all but just a very thick slab of fat. Cannot expect any taste as they just topped a dry goat bone curry with plain whit rice sparkling some garam masala. Could not eat anything. Rip off. read more

Found this through the dallas morning news article (not via Yelp) first. So I found a pretty decent place for some fantastic Indian food. They have quite an extensive menu of food available cooked to order or on the hot food table. If you like spice, this is the place to go. While waiting for your food you can browse the supermarket for some goodies. I got myself a container of gulab Jamun and an assortment of snacks for myself. Some of the food was at or near expiration so you should definitely check the dates before purchasing. The food was definitely hot and fresh so I got exactly what I was looking for. The curry was of the proper spice and the poori was puffy. We also ordered some samosas as an appetizer. Those came with hot chili peppers. Things were slow though. During the busy lunch hour rush they had the brilliant idea of changing out a cash register wrap, taking down at least 3 cashiers. I ended up ordering directly from the kitchen instead. I'll come back, though. This is pretty solid and not too far of a drive for me. read more

I'm not very happy with the service. I ordered my food and was told 20 minutes. 30 minutes go by, so I go and ask. He gave my food to the wrong table, never apologized, and just looked at me crazy as I had to wait another 20 minutes. Felt a little racially profiled because I'm a black woman. He put my food on the table of another ibadan woman whom I'm sure was not named Nicole. Now, on a side note, I originally gave one star, but the young lady on the grocery side was so sweet and helpful that I boosted the stars to 3. You should value her. She was very interested to know that I love Indiana food. She is what customer service is all about. read more

I am a big fan of their irani chai and mysore bonda. I had a couple of similar experiences which makes me not want to come back here. The last time I ordered the mysore bonda, they said they had it and then stated they do not after 10 minutes and asked us to choose something else off the menu even though I would have preferred a refund. The most recent visit was a bad one. They forgot my order, had to wait 20 minutes and I reminded them. They finally made the order. It is also so hot inside the restaurant area. It's 100 degrees outside so it was unbearable sitting inside and I finally had to take my order to go. Not at all a pleasant experience. There was no apology on the order being forgotten or late either. I would work on better management of the store and restaurant if I were the owner. read more

Love this little grocery store for any Indian cuisine must haves. Going back again to try their food! I had no idea there was a restaurant inside! It is such a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Cannot wait for more. read more

Hubby and I walked in thinking it was an Indian restaurant. We LOVE Indian food, but are always willing to try something new. This is a combination small grocery store, deli station, and restaurant all in one space. The "deli" station had pre-cooked food that you could select, then pay for it. When asking questions about this option, I was told the "restaurant" has a menu. We ordered from the menu, and they said it would be 20 minutes. There was no greeting or smile when we entered. The checkout girl was not friendly. She acted as if we were putting her out by ordering and asking questions about the items. The food, when it finally came at almost 30 minutes, was average. Nothing was good enough for us to even try them again. There are too many Indian restaurants with better food and service. I don't need to pay someone, just for them to be so unenthused and borderline rude. Maybe their grocery side is better. I'll never know. I will gladly take my money somewhere else. read more

This is one of the most disgusting restaurants that I have ever seen. I noticed right away the inside entrance of the restaurant was full of live flies and cockroaches. The entire dining area was in filthy condition and had hundreds of flies swarming all over. At the food ordering area, I could clearly see that the food prep areas were not in clean condition. All of the food prep surfaces and appliances were visibly dirty and had lots of large flies continuously landing on them. All of the containers of food (both raw and cooked foods) in the food prep area were uncovered and had flies continuously landing directly onto the food ingredients. During the hour that I was there, the staff made no attempt to cover the food containers or even to try to swat the flies away, and just let them be on the food ingredients and food prep surfaces. At no point was I able to observe any part of the food prep, kitchen, or dining area being cleaned. There was also no means of pest control such as fly traps/baits. read more

I never go to this place expecting good food , these joints are and their clientele are the reason why Indian food sucks in Dallas but desperately needed a chai so took the bait. It's dirty , just dirty , the buffet counter had been cleared but food was littered downstairs, every second table had scattered food or used tissues on the floor or the chairs. At this point I think it's the fault of the customers who think it's ok to leave a mess because it's an Indian joint. Something they would never dream of doing in other restaurants. This is take out only combination of pick up, tried from a house they catered and door dash. I haven't tried everything but Chili chicken was really good and super spicy. The "chili" is apparently it's the nose run good but if you have no spice tolerance this would be difficult. Each time they weren't soggy and it's has a thicker saucy but still considered "dry" Gobi Manchurian was good but portion size is super small. Chicken noodles are decent, chicken tikka frankie: Not many things in side but a lot of filling. I could not imagine eating it one sitting. The dipping sauce provided I didn't even try because the filling was saucy enough! Mutton dum Biriyani I did not like or the SPL mutton curry. There's a certain spice I did not enjoy and really salty. Overall I would order again for the chili chicken and try Momo's but it's a bit pricey. read more

Canteen style ambience. Massive menu with no real specialties. Average food. Dosas are not crispy. When you order with some kind of a stuffing they get super soggy. Way too much onion in the paneer dosa. Open late so great if you e had a few drinks but not a place for dinner. read more

Their breakfast has always been very good. So went for Mother's Day buffet which was a total rip off. The curries were either very salty or just bland. Except laddoo nothing seemed authentic. Served Indian tiffins with no chutneys. Items were not refilled on time. Ambience is good for a fast food and not for $30 buffet especially with not so friendly staff. read more

My first time here and the restaurant setting was pretty good and clean. It gave me a good welcoming atmosphere. Food: I ordered 1 thalli set, butter chicken and paneer tikka to go. The vegetarian thaali was just nice and the butter chicken was sweeter than usual butter chicken. The quantity pretty good. Service: need lots of improvement from the management. I waited 20-30 minutes for my meal to be served. About 3 - 4 people got restless and start walking back and forth to the cashier checking in their orders. I was about to cancel mine, luckily it arrived. They have free drinking water but no sign and you will end buying water. Since I asked they told me there is a water by the side. Prosper location food is worst than anything , every time there is an expired cakes, chutneys, mango drinks. even worst with Naan, just like rubber chappal. I want to avoid this restaurant if you need a good and tasty food. I think we should complain to city food inspection commission. read more

Very rude customer service. The counter people are racist and treat some customers very badly. I noticed , they make white/black customers wait longer than Indian customers. They messed up the order, kept me waiting for 20 to 30 minutes and never apologized. I would never ever put foot in this restaurant. read more

I've tried to be hopeful with the customer service here but after multiple attempts of ordering in person and online, no matter what you order or how much advanced notice you give, it will take a minimum of 35-40 minutes to get food while you watch other customers order after you and get their food in 15 minutes or less even when they've ordered more food than you. read more

I've never been treated so rudely in a place of business. If you don't want white people in your store then put a &@$* sign on the front door. Employees following us around the store, glaring at us the entire time with a look of scornful disdain on their faces. Fine, you made your point. We will never ever step foot in there again. The food was dry, insipid, tasteless crap. Disheveled service, robotic in nature. The toilet was disgusting and this new place was filthy.

I normally don't bash local businesses but this one has earned it for sure! So last night my wife ordered from Desi Chowrastha near Brass Tap on 423. She ordered thru their site for delivery. They pawned the delivery off to Door Dash and the food was never delivered, they gave the driver the street name but no street number. After quite some time she recieves a confirmation of delivery...but we still don't have the food! After calling both the restaurant and Door Dash, each pointed the finger at each other and neither would refund our $98 with tip. So my son heads to the restaurant to see what's up, since we paid them directly and not DDash, we want what we paid for or our money back. At this point somebody produces our itemized CC reciept, which the try to hide from him and then tried to rip it up. Before they could do either he noticed that they had signed our cc reciept and added a nice tip for themselves. To the tune of $2000.00 dollars, yes you read that correctly. No it was not a mistake, he even added the 2k to the total. Yes the cops were called and no he was not aressted. The charge had not batched so technically the fraud had not been completed yet. They did, in turn, reverse their pending charge and as of today, we can see that on our bank account. Even if this was some sort of prank, the rudeness and unprofessional handling of the situation was totally uncalled for. They will never get another dime from us. Just a warning. Great food ... if you get it. Such a mess in there. You'll have to hear for the man yelling your name when there is a number on your receipt and he can have a number machine light up when your order is ready. Or be careful someone else might take your order.. which is what happened to me .. after 30 min I asked for my money back. They couldn't because their manager had gone to lunch... what!!! I insisted on getting my money back finally they called him on the cell and he said ok. It's a total mess in there. Now the mgmt might not pay heed to my review because of the number of Indians in Frisco but I'm glad I can review this place anyhow and hope a better system is put in place. There are thousands of Srikanths and Sridhar's, who is to know who's dish is whose hahahhah ..and lastly The kitchens are too small for the tremendous amount of items on their menu. What happened to AI and logistics for this business? And a lot of dishes aren't available. How are you supposed to eat a chicken curry dish with no rice to accompany it.. hmm Mr Reddy please make sure that everybody must wear gloves when handling food.. yes there was a problem here as well. And 3pm in the evening no tea or filter coffee available.. really?? Actually half the items mentioned are not available.. go figure! read more
