We found Brutsky Builds since he was close to us in Lake Sammamish and noticed they had great reviews across the board so decided to give them a call and see what they can do for us. I was impressed off the bat with Erik's transparency and knowledge. We went through the full process of sharing what we were looking for and he guided us through it all. After the initial phone call we scheduled an onsite consultation and Erik went through everything very diligently, asked about all the details, and even 3D scanned the entire space. After that we went on a video call to review the proposal and figure out start dates and scheduling. He assigned a project manager to us and we got the ball rolling on the kitchen remodel. What was nice was that through the whole process we had one point of contact, we were added to a group chat on WhatsApp for all communication. Erik and the PM were always very communicative and responsive. He added us to his software that way we can see all the details and progress of the remodel. They had weekly updates for us throughout the entirety of the project and kept us up to speed on permit submittals, architecture/engineering appointments, and minor issues that were always corrected. What was awesome is that with the pre-con strategy we had transparent pricing with no change orders! Everything went smoothly with the schedule and all the work was done with excellence and with timeliness in mind. The whole process was smooth and they took on the stress for us. I hope this is a misunderstanding and will update the review if anything gets resolved. As of August 2026: --- I hired Brutsky Builds for a bathroom remodel and was very disappointed with their work. I was very clear with the scope of work. I provided (1) the scope of work in writing, (2) an in-person walkthrough of the work, and (3) a recording of that walkthrough. Despite that, the work was sloppy and not up to code. One example: installed drywall on top of and over my instant hot water heater, enclosing it in the wall. That's both a code violation and a fire hazard. They charged a $5k change order to fix their own code violations, which I paid in good faith. Despite that, they did not complete other work in the spec that they agreed to (in our video recording!). They are also padding their existing contract with fees I never agreed to. Stay away.

This was a down to the studs remodel that included extensive work from multiple trades; plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile, glass, cabinetry, sheetrock. The new bathroom has a tile shower and floor, a bidet, and pocket doors for privacy and sound deadening from the laundry area. The contractors arrived when they said they would. They did their work efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. In a word it turned out beautifully. I have other projects around my house and I expect to reach out to Silver Peak again.

I was surprised that their quote was about 15% less than the best quote I had received. The quote was extremely detailed which I appreciated. I had a few questions and United answered them on the spot. The United team arrived as scheduled. I was a rainy day and they were going to need to move significant amounts of hardware over a muddy back yard. Within a few hours I had a fabulous HVAC system installed and everything is working as needed. It's a fabulous system. They even went out of their way to leave the area cleaner than it was when they arrived. I appreciated that.

During the build, the subcontractors did pretty shotty work, I have visible…read more nails on most of my walls, they also accidentally cut through a wall into a space we were occupying. Now we come to find that there is mildew in our attic which we found only because the water condensed enough to collect in a light fixture and cause it to fail. We reached out to Cresent and they came out to inspect. The follow-up email is that none of it is under warranty- despite it was clearly built incorrectly to begin with , it just took 5 years for the problem to get bad enough to cause damage we could see, a rusted light fixture. As We don't go into our attic space, we were unaware that the original design and or installation were so pour either our shower has been venting into our attic space for 5 years or the original design should have included more ventilation resulting in a space that just collects water. It also seems that none of the people we worked with 5 years ago are still with the company. This was another example of poor customer service. For the amount they charge their sub contractors should be a higher quality and their customer service should include some service. During the project there were many other issues that we had to "catch" and have them fix, too many to recount. After coming to assess our situation, we received a friendly email letting us know that their assessment was complementary but all subsequent actions would be billed hourly. So, I am submitting this complementary review. We will not be inviting them back. They have done enough damage.

I would not recommend working with Crescent Builds. The design work they did for us a was flat out…read morewrong, and we were on the hook for thousands of dollars to pay their designers for incorrect measurements and inappropriate material suggestions. After that, the bid skyrocketed about 46% past the high end (69% past the low end) of the feasibility study quote. There were no scope changes, and we provided almost all the selections prior to the feasibility study. In my opinion, they did not take enough accountability for wasting our time and money in design and completely missing the price range of their own feasibility study (which we also paid them for). And this was for a very straightforward basement project that we were able to hire another contractor for who finished it on time and on his expected budget (lower than Crescent's low estimate) with the same selections and without any major issues. We paid a lot for a very messy experience with Crescent. I recommend you look elsewhere for Design and GC work.

We were initially recommended to a few contractors that specialized in restoration from leaks but started to feel uncomfortable with the process and like they were all trying to take advantage of us via the insurance claim. A neighborhood Facebook group pointed us to Chermak with consistent reports of them having great service, but also a fair price and staying on time and on budget. I was quickly connected to Angel the project manager and she was able to come out to our house that week for an inspection. She immediately built trust with us and showed a genuine care for wanting to get us back into our home (we had been out already for 3 months). We trusted our gut and quickly got to work with Angel and Chermak and getting the ball rolling on the scope of work to be done and approved by our insurance company. And to risk the obvious pun here, Angel was an Angel, there's no way this would have gone how it did without her, for all that she manages and does she's very efficient and good at her job and really absorbs a lot of the stress and difficulty that is common to this kind of work. She also was very reasonable with us in not upselling, offering suggestions where things could be easier or money better spent, which helped with our trust. Fast forward to the working starting EARLY (which was a good thing) and not only completing on time but even a week EARLY than what was planned, so exciting for us. Kim from the design team helped us get our plans together for the bathrooms to achieve what we really wanted out of them and set the plans in place. Tyler was our GC for the 8 weeks of restoration and I selfishly don't want to tell everyone how good he is because then everyone will want him. We were concerned about having so many people in our home and around our stuff, but he so quickly made us feel comfortable and was adopted into the family. He also really listened to us and understood our wants, needs and particular requests as the bathrooms were constructed, he knew it was important to us things be done the right way and was willing to take the time to see it through. He's also just an all-around good dude and we miss having him here. I've given many referrals since our job wrapped to other prospective clients for Chermak and we intend to hire them again when it's time to remodel our kitchen. Our job was not without any issues but they were determined to do the right thing and see us be happy with the end result, which is a really great experience in this kind of arrangement. Right away I knew we made the correct choice. He did an excellent job guiding us through the process of picking out the doors and letting us know the type of hardware. When it was time for the work to start he was very communicative as to what he was going to do and when. He also sent me a few photos of the work in progress during the day so I could see what was going on. It was a nice touch. When the job was complete it came in on budget and was well done.
