This part of town needed an updated movie theater...and it has arrived. The Olde Town Arvada theater of yesteryear was pretty run-down, but in time for the Avengers: Infinity War this newly renovated site has a very refreshed look. Most of the high-level layout, of course, is the same as before, but plenty of tweaks were made to make it look a bit different. The box office and customer service areas share a space on the left side of the entry now, and a swank, blocked-off bar area has been added just to the right (and slightly back) of the box office. The concessions area is now up against the back wall, opening up much of the middle entry-space, with some table seating scattered between the bar area and concessions. As far as I can tell, every theater now has reclining seating, which is what most theaters are moving to, which is nice. Less seats, but it might help sell out theaters more often. I was hoping for an IMAX, or similar experience, to be an option at this theater, but it's not as if it couldn't be added later if the demand for it increases. I look forward to frequenting this site more and more, especially knowing the perks of the Harkins Theaters, which is not a very prominent theater company here in CO...yet. read more

Great new movie theater. Seats awesome, sound is awesome, picture quality is awesome. Purchase your tickets and pick your seats ahead of time as the good seats are usually gone if you just show up at the theater. I can't say enough about the sound quality of the Klipsch speakers. Dynamic but not fatiguing. Best sound and picture I've experienced in a Denver metro movie theater. Oh and they have a bar and a great concession stand. Perfect movie theater. I went in to buy tickets for my daughter's birthday (6 total) and everything was quick and pleasant. I came back a few days later with the kids to watch our movie that I previously purchased and realized they gave me the wrong movie tickets. (Of course I should've checked before leaving) The show we wanted to see had 6 seats left in the front row so I took it. The manager then offered me 6 movie vouchers to make up for the mistake. I didn't expect that so it was a wonderful surprise. They also have 3D movies but no IMAX. Concession prices are typical, outrageously overpriced but a wide selection. The reclining seats are my favorite part of the experience. Although, they could give a little cleaning attention to the actual seats. You'll find wrappers and popcorn once you recline. Overall, definitely my favorite place to catch a movie and make sure to purchase early on busy nights or else you'll be sitting in the front row. read more

Well after much waiting probably due to city hold ups during renovations we ventured forth into the new Harkins theatre for a test drive. The staff was still getting their sea legs but we got through picking up tickets. Concessions seemed a bit unsure still but they were kind and apologetic with minor mistakes they made, no big deal. Popcorn was burnt and drink served tepid so we asked for more ice. No bonus free refills on popcorn or sodas, lame. Also on our way to our theatre we overheard and employee talking trash about some customers she served right in the open, not cool. Being new the theatres and restrooms with still clean and fresh, time will tell if the surge of the public will take its toll. Seats were substandard comfy, but still reclined well. Overall screen clarity and sound were great for the size of the theatre we were in, which was the only saving grace for our evening outing. read more

this movie theater was disgraceful. I see many young girls on social media going to this theater and watching rated R movies. Most people know and understand that girls above the age 15-16 have seen movies that are rated R or worse. it's my 16th birthday and i bought tickets online for a new movie coming out , the exact movie i saw many young girls watching on social media. i was told nothing about being "old enough" or "having to show ID" so me and my friend(16 turns 17 in 5 days) go to watch a movie that i already have tickets for... we get turned away with no cooperative behavior. WORST BIRTHDAY EVER.. my dad was in the theater watching a different movie. yet he wouldn't let me in unless my dad came out and "waved" to him. my dad wouldn't answer his phone because i sadly had to interrupt his movie . i had leave and i'm very upset . also i was not even able to get a full refund. if you are thinking about going to this thetre or sending your children there i strongly hope to shift your opinion. read more

Every time I come here I lose more faith in this community. 4 consecutive screenings, all but one for adult themed horror, thriller, or crime movies with brutal violence and multiple people bring their children under 8, who run around, yell, and watch videos on their parents phone on blast, while their parents take a nap and somehow they all have sleep apnea, and snore through the whole thing. The staff never do anything about it. I don't know what it is about this particular theater that makes it a pseudo day care and old folks home but the audience is overpowered like this, every time. People loudly announcing what is happening in the movie for everyone, or needlessly describing it, answering their phones and talking loudly, always inappropriate and disruptive and there is no management of this behavior. I wouldn't have even gone this time if my dad hadn't already bought the tickets for this location before telling me and of course it was ruined again by audience members who seem convinced they are the only people there and acting as rancid and loud as though they were home after a long day's work. It was the fullest theater I've been in since Covid sand these people seemed completely oblivious and horribly disrespectful. Be warned before you try and watch a movie you think you'd consider caring about. If you just noise to nap as loudly as you can then I guess this is your venue. While I'm at it, the seats are uncomfortable. read more

This theater is great! Their popcorn is fantastic, but they also have great dinner/lunch food options as well. I have gotten the Margherita flatbread a few times, it was great each time. They also have the best beer choices of any of the alcohol serving theaters I have been to (New Image and Odyssey!). Kind staff and quick service as well! The seats are comfy and reclining. There are HUGE isles so it's not awkward to go to the restroom or get more snacks. Online convenience fee applies to online purchases, like all theaters these days. But, it's only $1.70 per ticket, so that's not too bad. This theater is great, you should go. read more

We haven't been going to many movies these days because the movie going experience has become so darn expensive. So many places these days cost $13 or more per ticket + "convenience fees" to reserve seats ahead of time + concessions! What used to be a $25 movie date easily costs us $40. Not anymore. Harkins is bringing back quality & affordability. My husband and I have already enjoyed seeing two movies at the new Harkins in Olde Town since they recently opened. Both experiences were positive. The staff is friendly, ticket prices are very reasonable ($11.50 for a Saturday night adult ticket even with a $3 online convenience fee beats the competition), the recliners are comfortable, and the screen/sound quality is good. We're also big fans of their souvenir cup sodas - simply bring your souvenir cup back and get $1.50 refills through the end of the year. I've been frequenting this theater location since Mann first opened back in the 90's. I have so many fond memories of this place and I'm glad to see it renovated and thriving once again! We plan to make many more movie memories here. read more

Visiting from out of town and tried out this theater. Price was nice compared to the other theaters nearby. The food and popcorn were good. I liked the butter and seasonings you can put on the popcorn. We also tried the burger and it was actually really nice! Pricey but food in theaters are always that way. The seats were reclinable and there was lots of room to yourself in between aisles. Overall great experience and I will probably come back if I visit Denver again! read more

Reclining leather seats at regular theater prices makes this my favorite theater in Denver. Super comfortable and spacious. Lots of popcorn flavor options as well as your basic theater foods/snacks as well as a bar so you can take your drinks in with you. Me and my daughters friends went to the movies for her birthday, they ridiculously charges my daughters friend as a adult when he is only 13 - mid movie he comes up to her friends and THREATENS them, telling them to grow up as 13-14 year olds. As we get to a good part of the movie they kick us out for being to loud, even though the people behind them were the loud ones. Do not recommend for over 3 people, or going there in general. read more

The manager contacted me and arranged for our class to come and watch "How to Train a Dragon" at a discounted rate. The chaperones watched the movie for free. The employees were awesome to our students! For one of our students this was his first time going to a movie theater. I saw Jurassic World at Harkins yesterday and it was my first time at a theater with reclining seats (I know, I am behind the times). I originally thought, big deal.... I can sit in regular seats at a theater. But let me say I am a convert! This was so much better than the stiff and uncomfortable airplane like seating at standard theaters! I do wish more spontaneity could be afforded by not having to have assigned seats but as far as the overall experience went I would say this is the better way to enjoy a night at the movies. read more

I don't review theaters but this is too good to ignore. They've made a huge investment in this theater: huge parking lot, very clean; employees are well dressed, professional, friendly - and above all else normal for once. Lots of foodservice counters and all fully staffed despite low traffic, wide hallways, huge screens with great seats and neon accent lighting, self-serve butter and seasoning for popcorn. Only thing I would suggest is better and more gourmet food options. read more

What a change! Everything is clean and shiny new. Welcome to 2018. Every theater is the lounge chairs (although it doesn't actually recline, just puts your feet up). Going opening weekend with coupons that came in the mail I got to try out their popcorn (yea butter me baby) and soft drink. I liked that they had more than just soda, I got a half iced tea half lemonade. Movie sound and picture were good. Commercials went a good 15 minutes after the start time. read more

I live 3 miles from here. I love the rewards program, and the tickets are more cheaper than AMC theaters. I love the $1.50 refills, if you buy the loyalty cup. I brought my son to his first movie today and I was excited for the experience. When we arrived, the box office's payment system was down, so after a few tries at ringing us up, they kindly just let us in. I offered to pay after the movie once their system was back up and running, but they graciously declined. Next, we went to the food counter to get popcorn and a drink. Same situation - but this time I insisted that I wanted to pay once the system was back up. I was offered a popcorn voucher but they said they couldn't give me anything else without paying. Fine. After already pouring my Coke, they took it back (wasted) and I asked if I could have a water. I was told I could only have a small cup for water. Seriously? It is not my fault your payment system is down. The least you could do is let go of a few more pennies to allow me to have a larger cup for some water since you are unable to sell me what I wanted to pay for. The kid at the counter even told me he could give me multiple water cups (!), but not one bigger cup. Dude, you try to carry 3 water cups, and diaper bag, and a 3 year old. It seemed so negligible and so simple to continue the good customer service in this way. I walked into the movie with my son feeling pretty put off and not trusted as a customer. Love the recliners, the rewards program and the assigned seating. The customer service is great if you mess up or if they do. The food selections are better than most theaters. Plus the programs they have like summer movies for kids, throw back movies, etc. are fun and less costly. I'm glad to have this addition to Arvada. read more

Worst theater I have ever been to with family moved over 3 times due to being over sold tried again about a year later still the same

I enjoy viewing movies at this theater. I did purchase the beverage cup which allows you soft drinks for $1.50 for the rest of the year and the popcorn deal for the medium popcorn whenever you buy a ticket. My only complaint is the assigned seating. I always go to the matinees to save money so I'm not about to spend $1.50 to reserve a seat in advance. I also try to attend at less busy times so I fail to see why I'm required to select a seat when purchasing a ticket in person when there may be only 12 people watching the movie. I liked entering the theater and choosing a seat preferably with an empty seat next to mine and without a tall person ahead of me. I have yet to have this experience despite many empty seats available not right next to mine because the seats are automatically assigned when a ticket is purchased unless you request a different seat which some people won't do . read more

me and a couple of friends , went to go watch the black phone , but as we were waiting in line we were all speaking spanish , our turn came to buy our tickets , they asked for a Id so we stepped aside and let two girls go ahead of us to watch the same movie keep in mind these girls looked pretty young and they didn't Id them as we proceded one of us didn't have our Id and they didn't let us get the tickets then because " we didn't look our ages " then complained about us speaking Spanish then shortly we got asked to leave . Then they started assuming out ages When more then half of us showed our Ids i will not be going back over here they were flat out bothered by the way we were speaking spanish and did Not want us in their theatre because we're we're a group of " Mexicans " " looking for trouble " when all we wanted to do was watch a movie , I will not be returning and I'll make sure of it and as a big influencer on social media platforms I've shared my experience and how sad the world has become ! & made sure that everyone in Colorado will not be counting on going there either .
