HARLAND BREWING @ DEL MAR Parking is available mostly in the plaza that's by Omomo, Mcdonald's, and Urban Plates, it's about a 5 minute walk across, but always available and recommend! This was a spot my boyfriend wanted to check out while we were in Del Mar. As soon as we stepped in, I loved how much merch they had and how wide and spacious the place felt. There were TVs everywhere playing different sports, comfy couches where people were doing work, an outdoor patio, and plenty of high tables to hang out at. The staff were super friendly, and my boyfriend tried one of their popular beers on tap. it was a Japanese-inspired one and he really enjoyed it! The whole place was super clean, and I loved the overall vibe. I'd definitely come back to try their food next time, it smelled amazing, and I love this area! read more

They have great beers, a welcoming staff, and an awesome set-up for a brewery with both indoor/outdoor space, tv's to showcase the padres games and Sunday football, and plenty of Harland merch as well. Closed! Another One Paseo establishment bites the dust. This Harland tasting room has been here since the beginning at the controversial One Paseo... And now they are gone. The beer tender told me the lease couldn't be renewed due to much higher rent. Ouch. There are now several larger vacancies at One Paseo. Hopefully they see the writing on the wall and start attracting new businesses in or this place could die soon... The new location is over in 4S (Rancho Bernardo area). They will have a kitchen and serve food. This closing is really a shame as there was no place like it in the area to simply go have a beer and hang out in a big spacious area. I hope another brewery comes in but with the recent news of craft breweries going out of biz, I see it unlikely. read more

This location of Harland Brewing is at One Paseo adjacent to URBN pizza. The brewery does very well with it large outdoor patio facing the lawn where one paseo does lots of community events such as concerts, movie nights, holiday events and so on. So they keep pretty busy. The brewery is very family friendly due to its location and the overall vibe, they have a few arcade games inside as well. Lots of seating, cozy couches. Their large outdoor patio has heaters and they it can be rented out for a birthday party or a birthday event. There is no food at the brewery but they offer pizza delivery from URNB pizza next door which is very convenient. Lots of beer on tap and they are know for their Japanese lager. Try it! read more

This is one of my favorite breweries to go to cause the inside is super nice! And it's also in One Paseo, which is one of my favorite places to go to. Parking can be a bit packed depending on when you come but it's not so bad during the weekdays. I've been here a couple of times during the weekday evening and it's never crowded in here, which is nice. The drinks are pretty nice too. They've got a good list of beers (such as IPA, lager, etc.). As mentioned before, the inside is really nice where the vibe is nice and there are some couches, etc. so it's a bit nicer than other breweries. It's definitely a nice place to socialize and to vibe at! I just wish they were opened a bit later than 9 pm but it's still an awesome place to go check out! Harland has the best hazy IPA I've ever had--and I've tried a LOT of hazies. They do always have fun new recipes to try but I only like to sample them because I could never go and not get my hazy! It's like there's a forest in your mouth. - Fortune Teller | This is a triple IPA, which means you're going to hop hop hop your way into that damn forest again. You walk in, place your order and it almost like there are two wings, so you can enjoy conversations with your group, and an outdoor area. Tired of Zooming from home in isolation, a fellow director and I decided to get together at Harland Brewing and join our most recent online board meeting while literally sitting next to each other... So much more fun getting through an evening work session with a DPM (dragonfruit, passion, and mango) or Blackberry Cobbler Sour (blackberry, graham cracker, Tahitian vanilla, and cinnamon), a Japanese Lager (puffed Jasmine rice and toasted rice flakes), and of course actual human company! Harland's less occupied back patio with heat lamps offered a quiet space for us to take our meeting without disturbing others, and we were able to order delivery from a nearby restaurant - much appreciated for a 6-8 pm meeting. Absolutely Outstanding Experience at Harland Brewing & URBN Pizza! I recently hosted a birthday party for about 60 people at the Harland Brewing outdoor patio, and I can't say enough great things about the experience. The entire Harland staff went above and beyond--they moved and added tables, provided extra plates, turned on the outdoor heaters, and made sure all my guests were comfortable and well taken care of. Their service was fast, friendly, and incredibly thoughtful throughout the evening. We also ordered pizza/salad from URBN next door, which was a huge hit. The food was delicious, came out quickly, and paired perfectly with Harland's excellent selection of beers. I would highly recommend Harland Brewing and URBN Pizza for any event or gathering. Updating to 5 stars! This has become one of my family and friends go to casual hangout spot. Although they don't sell their own food, they partnership with Urban Pizza and option to bring in your own food has made this place easy to please both adults and the kids. We usually order a pizza next door which gets delivered and I mobile order at Shake Shack and it's a short distance to pick up and both kiddos and adults are happy with food options, Obviously we're also here to enjoy the variety of beers. Also a good standard selection and options that come and go. Great option with sizes as well, with being able to get a taster flight or sample size to pint size! A good an amount of indoor and outdoor seating. With 2 outdoor sections, I've seen people host their events here and have seen it promoted as well. We had our friends holiday gift exchange here and it was the perfect place for us. Another great feature is that it is adjacent to a large grass turf area for the kiddos to run around. Sometimes the mall turf area also hosts events and has private functions. We came once for a movie in the park event and ended up at Harland for drinks afterwards. Good times! read more

I visited Harland Brewing - One Paseo with a girlfriend last weekend, arriving right at opening. The beer tender was super nice and even helped us order a pizza from next door at Urbn. I had a sour and my friend had an IPA, and we both really enjoyed our drinks. However, our time inside was cut short due to infants shrieking for about 20 minutes. While I understand bars are becoming popular hangouts for parents, it wasn't enjoyable for those of us without kids. My ears were ringing! Since this location {one of a few locations} is nestled into the beautiful One Paseo shopping plaza, you will find plenty of parking in one of two 3+ story parking garages. The inside is totally my jam - Great music, plenty of TV's to watch all the games, rustic/chic/urban vibes with bar seating, tables, booths and comfy, cozy leather couches {my favorite}. The team and the service here is spot on and A+.. I'm a sucker for good customer service and I couldn't ask for anything more. Each and every team member is outstanding and immediately makes you feel at home! Onto the good stuff.. the beer! There is not a bad beer in the house..everything is unique in it's own way and super tasty. I always gravitate towards IPA's.. here's some of my faves: Winter's Gone, Sunken Isles, Cream City DIPA, and Waimea Haze. On my last visit, I feel in love with the new limited release Ube Painkiller - This just might be my new fave! Feeling hungry while you're there? The beer was very good here! They had a lot of options to chose from, but not a lot of different variety of beers available. I was hoping to get a sour, but they were out of it when we were there. The atmosphere was also really fun here. There is a lot of seating both inside and outside. The service was also very good and they went above and beyond to make the place presentable. We came for trivia and overall it was a fun time. However, there were some loud groups not participating in trivia, so everyone could hardly hear the emcee reading the questions. They also only had one speaker so it was impossible to hear unless you went right up to the speaker. I wish the experience was better. Lastly, they offer food from two different restaurants that are in One Paseo. They even bring the food to you. That was a great experience! I love how pretty the colors of these beers were! so unique, and the flavors had such great Asian inspired twists to them. our overall favorites were the yuzu sour and jaybird. they had beautiful colors and really nice flavors that highlighted the fruit. the melons sour definitely tasted like melona but also beer? the fizzy aftertaste was strange if you've ever had a regular melona bar before. the Japanese lager was pretty rice forward, and otherwise tasted like a regular beer. the space inside is great, there's a pool table and small arcade. So many amazing things about this place - and lemme tell you why - PARKING: You can park in the One Paseo mall parking structure. Usually you can find free parking here without an issue and the walk to the brewery is pretty close. LOCATION: The inside is rustic themed, spacious, and clean, so you don't feel cramped up. They have tons of tables and bar seating. The vibe here is super casual and laidback - so it's a great place to hang out with all your buddies. They have fun things like a pool table and Trivia Nights as well. I also love their selection/design of apparel (shirts, jackets, hats, etc.). I have one of their shirts and it's super high quality (I put that shirt through the washer and drier multiple times and it still feels like new). I sort of want to buy another one to be honest since they look and feel so good. SERVICE: Service here is great. The employees are friendly, quick and attentive at getting your order. FOOD/DRINKS: They don't make food onsite- but instead you can order Shake Shack or URBN Pizza - and they'll get your order delivered to you at the brewery. Now that's a beer-tiful partnership! They have a good selection of IPAs, Ales, and Lagers which you can sample beforehand and bring home in cans as well. Unfortunately, they don't have ciders/sours normally if that's your sort of thing. My personal favorite? Their Japanese Lager - a light, refreshing beer that has notes of toasted rice flavors makes it really unique and easy to drink. There is a lot of seating plus arcade games and a pool table. It's easy to get parking in the one Paseo garage and it's in an great central location.
