The beers always hit and the food was actually pretty tasty ! We ordered a smash burger and wings . Burger was flavorful and juicy . Wings were fried and crispy (also, get the sauces for dipping on the side-- so good and worth the extra few dollars). Located in an industrial park, this location gives you the feel of being in an actual brewery. They make the beer on-site and appear to distribute from this location as well. The beer is great and so is the food. The lemon pepper wings and waffle fries are tasty, though the wings may have been a bit undercooked. The food pick-up is at the food truck located on premises. The service is fast and friendly and helpful with suggestions. Lots of games, including pool tables, as well as merchandise for sale. The location allows for plenty of parking. A great spot to hang out. And dog friendly, even though I don't have a dog. read more

I love Harland and come in pretty regularly. I stopped by today at lunch just to grab a Japanese Lager, but there was also one of the special beer sales going on. I ended up waiting about 25 minutes in line just to order one beer. Just a suggestion for days when there's a special release: would it be possible to have two lines--one for people purchasing the special-release beers and another for customers who are just trying to grab a pint or two? I think it would keep the special releases running smoothly while still allowing regular taproom customers to get served without such a long wait. Love the beer and the brewery--just thought this might make those busy release days a little easier for everyone. read more

It was my first time at Harland, and it wasn't too hard to find parking since they had a parking lot and street parking available. They had live music playing on Friday and a small event going on, so it was a little hard to find any seating. The staff were very quick and efficient when helping everyone out and gave us some recommendations to try. I loved the selection of beers that they had and so many sours which I loved! This has become a new go to spot especially for trivia night. It really has turned into an incredible brewery all over San Diego but this location is closest to me. They have a small food truck outside that serves food with a small menu but I do enjoy the variety. Everything seems super fresh and I enjoy their fries because they are not overly fried they are like a softer potato wedge. I can not wait to try the burger next time. There is a good size parking lot but this spot does get busy after work hours with private events and parties. I especially enjoy that they serve wine there as well as beer and their couple of seltzers. The staff are great and even better this place is dog friendly indoors and outdoors so our puppy gets to join us every time we are coming in and typically meet other dogs while we are there. read more

There were children, bikers, singles, besties, and dogs here but the place is so huge there's truly room for everyone. We ordered flights to sample all the interesting options. I enjoyed the tropical fluff, as it packed fruity and marshmallow notes harmoniously into a light and refreshing brew. Great beer as always! The place is large and on a Friday night, seemed to have a lot of young families around. Service was friendly and what you expect from breweries in SD :) Where I think this could use some improvement though is their food game. We picked up the Gochujang BBQ Pulled Pork and the Fried Chicken Sandwich as well as the Dipper Fries. The mixture of BBQ and Gochujang left the meat in a place where I know it was seasoned but it has a very flat taste to it that didn't feel fully complimented by the rest of the sandwich ingredients. To be fair I have not been impressed by a lot of pulled pork and I would say this is what I would generally expect. The buns felt unnecessary and it would probably be better as a standalone meat dish. Fried chicken is a tough arena for competition and with places like Dave's hot chicken, Chik Fil A, and Crack Shack, you're better off NOT ordering this here as it's not nearly as flavorful. It's cooked well, but just doesn't have the same kick or original taste you'll find from the other places. The one lettuce leaf I got in there made it feel like cafeteria food if I'm being honest... Dipper fries saved the meal for us as the way the fries were cut was unique and gave it a nice texture. TDLR: Beer is good! Food... maybe eat before or bring something with you. read more

We are fortunate to have such a great brewery just around the corner from us. This is one of a few locations in SD but this space is more open and presents with a fun vibe. They offer seasonal special release beers, a large indoor area with pool tables, a few arcade games and an outdoor patio. They even have pizza and other options available during events and weekends. I want to give a special shoutout to Isabelle (and apologies if I've misspelled your name!) for going above and beyond to accommodate my accessibility needs so I could safely try the New Zealand Hazy IPA that was on special. Your kindness and effort truly made a difference, and I'm deeply grateful. The Hazy IPA itself was lovely, it was subtle, refreshing, and smooth. But my personal favorite remains their IPA, which is an absolute amazing drink, and I typically don't like IPA's: citrusy, creamy, bitter in just the right way, and so perfectly balanced. It goes down easy and has that polished finish that keeps me coming back. While I didn't try the food this time, I did see someone enjoying the shrimp roll special, and they raved about it, the person shared it had perfect bread-to-shrimp ratio, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It looked delicious from across the patio! I appreciated how it was easy to find parking as well as that there was outdoor seating that had shade as well as sun. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. Between the thoughtful service, great beer, and welcoming atmosphere, I left feeling happy and very well taken care of. This is definitely my favorite brewery in San Diego due to all of their creative beers. This brewery has a lot of Asian inspired beers i.e. Ube, Pandan, Highchew and a rice lager. Also, it is dog and kid friendly with video games, pool tables and plenty of TVs to watch the Padres games. There's plenty of parking and seating inside and outside. I think I might have been here during the pandemic, but I never actually went inside. It's really spacious and has plenty of seating. We were able to use the pool tables, which just requires an ID at the front and some quarters. I went with the flight ($15) that mostly had IPAs and their barrel-aged stout. I liked all of them. They also had Poseidon Project Pizza Truck there, and we ordered a salami, hot honey pizza that was absolutely delicious. The service was good. When we were having trouble initially with the pool table, one of the workers walked over and helped us with a smile. Definitely a place to check out if you're in the area. read more

Wish a side of ranch wasn't $2, seems a little of a stretch when you order a $20 pizza. Overall it was a good experience. The bartender who took our order was nice, but when we asked if we could taste a beer before we ordered, she said "um, we can only give you one or two." Sort of off-putting, so we just didn't even try it, and my boyfriend ended up getting a beer he didn't like. I forget the name of it, but ultimately was a 6% IPA that tasted like a modelo. I used to love this place--the beer is excellent and I've visited many times, both alone and with colleagues, always having a great experience. But yesterday, when I came with my family, I had a very disappointing encounter. While we were enjoying our time, one of the servers came over and complained that my 3-year-old son was screaming and that he "couldn't take it anymore." This was upsetting and completely ruined our evening. We frequently visit breweries and restaurants across San Diego, and this is the first time we've ever experienced something like this. What do you expect from a 2-3-year-old child? Kids play and sometimes make noise--that's normal. If children aren't welcome, the establishment should clearly mention it. A 3-year-old cannot be quiet all the time, and families deserve to know if kids aren't truly welcome here. Because of this experience, I won't recommend this place for families. read more

The location of this brewery is super random. It feels like its tucked in between some corporate offices. Whoever works near there, I am jealous. This spot is pretty cool with great vibes. Very spacious indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of TVs and games and its dog friendly. Ample parking (just make sure you read the sign as to where you can park). Since San Diego is known for breweries, I wanted to take my boyfriend to one of them while he was here. I remembered a coworker recommending this place and since it was along the way home, we decided to stop here. The location that we went to is the one located in an industrial/business area where no other eateries are closely located on Carroll Canyon Rd in Scripps Ranch. There's a relatively large parking lot shared with other businesses (I believe) for customers going to the brewery. The brewery is a covered, open space where they have drinks and games, such as billiards and board games, for customers. Very cool atmosphere! I saw that there was a Yelp check-in offer of $2 off one full pour of beer and decided to use it as I wasn't a big drinker anyways (although, I do love beer flights). I got the Japanese Lager. It was veeerry good. Light without much hoppiness. But it's a beer I wouldn't know the difference between other lagers. My boyfriend got their beer flight: Tropical Daydream (sour), Camp beer (light), Waimea Haze (hoppy), Harland Rumbler (core). Out of all of them, I really liked the tropical daydream because of the hint of passionfruit in it. I heard the beers rotate so when my boyfriend visits again, we'll definitely be back to check out the other options as this location is near my home! read more

I happen to come here one day to just grab beer to go. I end up staying for dinner and having a beer too. I discovered Harland actually through just buying beer at a store. I really enjoyed their Lager so thinking it might be better to just get it at the source I went here to buy some variety. The place was super pack with 2 beertenders. I grab a pint first to enjoy with my food. I was luckily enough to find a seat indoor, there was plenty outside but it was a bit cold. It was nice to see some kids enjoy themselves. I didn't realize this place has 3 pool tables and about 3 to 4 arcades. This is pretty awesome, I don't see many pool tables at a brewey these days. Pretty kid friendly. After enjoying the pint of beer and my food, it was time to order some beers to go. I got a variety from lager to IPA. It was pretty busy and the guy just let me stand there to decide while he helped the people behind me. It was a bit confusing on which beers you can buy to go. It wasn't all of them.
