This is our second visit here and it was even better. We got from Lucy Mae's Kitchen so we had to get a beer from Hopnonymous Brewing. They have a great selection of Beers that hit every flavor profile. The prices are really reasonable. Depending on size, it's $3 to $9. We both got the Jesters Privilege. That was very tasty. This Brewery has plenty of seating. Indoors and Outdoors. You can watch Sports there will you enjoy a great beer. There were a lot of people there so it's definitely a popular brewery. The service was superb! The guy that poured our beers was super friendly and made you feel very welcomed. Overall it was a great experience and we wanna try more beers. read more

This is my second time here, and posting my first review. I came here originally to try out the pop up tent of Lucy Mae's (which was absolutely amazing by the way), but my wife and I were immediately greeted by who I beleive to be the owner or the main man bartender. High fives for us by him! The beer menu is great. I go around different locations of breweries to try out any stouts or ipas they have advertised. I usually go for the strongest stuff because well, it just tastes better. We came during their happy hour, they have great prices for the pints, and great tasting beers. They do rotate, so if you don't see something that was on a previous posted menu, fear not, they will come back again. The interior vibes well, pretty chill tavern style bar which matches my vibe. 10/10 will come back again! read more

Dear diary, Came here on a Monday night to eat watch the chargers game with my friend and it's become our favorite spot to catch the game and grab a few beers. Staff here are really nice and welcoming. Always giving us great recommendations and letting us try the new beers in the rotation. Our current favorites right now are the "rindstone cowboy" and the "what you need" ipa beers. This place is located near a business area so there's plenty of parking, food vendors from time to time, and a few games inside to keep you entertained. Went on a Padres game Thursday and got baseball happy hour. They also do it for SDFC. It was busy mid game but not too busy especially with patio overflow. People said the food truck was good as well. I got to pet some dogs my doggo got pet and Donovan a beer tender as well as the rest of the team were slanging drinks, cleaning up messes and kept everything moving. The two bathrooms are usually immaculate especially for a brewery. Will return soon. Maybe Tuesday for trivia. read more

My wife and I checked out Hopnonymous years ago and it was kind of unmemorable. Well, I'm glad that fate guided us here the other night, because it's now a place that I want to remember. I thought it was cool that the owner personally greeted us when we walked in. Sometimes, personal touches like that make a difference. There was a food truck there, but we brought our own food. Before you come, check out the Food Calendar on their website. I decided on a Dorsty Lion, which was a tasty and strong Belgian ale with interesting yeast flavor profiles. I couldn't resist the Log Jammin for my second, which was a kick-ass imperial stout aged in maple bourbon barrels for five years. Yum! The staff commented on our meal presentation more than once (we like to keep it classy with vegan baguette, cheez, etc.) Everyone was cool here. The multiple TV monitors were showing different March Madness games. They seem to have a regular calendar of events including all-day happy hour Mondays and Trivia Tuesdays. Love finding a local brewery close by. I've visited Hopnonymous for fundraiser for SD Comic Fest. I'm so happy that I did - was pleasantly surprised to find a hidden gem. The ambiance is amazing, certainly family friendly and there is plenty of food to choose from. There is a food truck generally available along with a Deli next door. There are also some board games that you can play, my kids really liked the balancing one. The beers were also pretty amazing. Had 2 different Stouts and they were quite good. I actually brought my Dad out as well and he was pretty impressed. Lol he even bought a glass. They have a pretty awesome logo. Totally recommend dropping by and checking this place out. read more

Little brewery tucked away in Kearny Mesa. Has a wide selection of beers and some really good ones at that. I got some flights. You can sit inside or they also have a little outside, covered area which is dog friendly. Service was great and they were super nice. They apparently do have food trucks but they don't arrive until around 3 pm and I was starving at noon when I got there. I easily door dashed myself some food. I would definitely go back here to hang. Good for groups. read more

This place is so fun! Came here during thanksgiving week. Parking/location - in a business center hidden Decor - cool decor. open front bar that has such cool handmade games. My kids and friends loved all the games. There's so many creative ones that we were so impressed. There's an indoor area and an outdoor area. All areas have couple games that were very entertaining. Service - amazing! the owner was so nice. He greeted us (shook our hands) and talked with us and our kids. He thanked us for coming and wished us a happy holiday. They were just setting up the Christmas tree so they gave all our kids ornaments to draw on. He gave us all art supplies to make the ornaments. He even complimented my kids on their ornaments. He helped our kids put up their christmas ornaments. We were the first to put it up. He was so personable. Really appreciated all the warm hospitality. Drinks - we got couple beers and sampler ones. Everything was good. They also sold food outside and there were people grilling. The food looked good but we didn't buy it. Next time we will. This is hands-down our new most favorite brewery. It's located in a business park on the "back side" of the Convoy/Clairemont area, tucked away where you wouldn't expect a brewery to be, but it's definitely worth the jaunt. We're fans of every single thing about this brewery. Beers, people, vibe, hell, even the bathrooms get a thumb's up from us. On our very first visit, the owner took the time to greet us, answer our questions and suggest a pint based on what we were looking for. On our next visit he stopped by our table to shake my husband's hand, give me a hug and pat the pup on the head, all to welcome us back. The guys behind the bar have been friendly and fun to talk with, and the other customers have made us feel welcome and got us to laugh. I have two favorite brews here, as of right now (I'm sure it'll change as they update their menu.) The first is Thai-me of My Life, which tastes like a cup of mango sticky rice and is super easy to drink. The second is Slow Motion, which is an incredibly dangerous pour. I say that because it's listed as 12% ABV, but I had two of them after drinking two of the Thai-me of My Life pours and I felt fine. I mean, the night was blurry and I'm sure I was slurry, but I didn't feel like I'd just pounded two 12% ABV drinks in just under 90 minutes. I've also had the Leaving without Saying Goodbye (easy to drink, smooth flavor, roasted notes); Iris and the Giant Peach (tart, sweet, crushable) and the Two Amigos (not my favorite brew, a little too soapy for my liking). They have a rotating schedule of food trucks behind the building (where they also have extra seating, if you can't find anything inside.) On our two visits, we had a Mediterranean truck and an Asian fusion truck. Both were tasty and filling and helped sop up some of the alcohol in our systems. We haven't had a chance to go back recently because of work and weekend commitments and blah blah life (and those Uber Pet trips add up, man!), but we're absolutely planning our next stop while keeping an eye on their updated menu. read more

I love coming to Hopnonymous!! The place itself has such good decor and it's such a vibe coming here. Plus the workers are so kind (I'm not sure if he's the owner, but there's a tall guy that works there, and he's always so incredibly kind and literally says hi to everybody). I'm not much of a beer drinker but they have a few non-alcoholic drinks too. Plus this place is kid and dog friendly :) As for food, they also partner up with local business for the food portion, and I always go when Lucy Mae's Kitchen shows up Their Tameka wings with truffle fries is honestly chefs kiss, and not to mention the customer service from both Hopnonymous and Lucy Mae's is amazing! Also, their Mac and cheese is to die for! Now if you like seafood, be sure to try their Maryland crab cakes, because are legit and they usually sell out, so get there early! First time here. Did an IPA flight and it scored 100. Loved them all but ordered a Blood In The Water, and I usually don't like reds. He got News Team Assemble, a hazy.
