No chairs or tables anywhere. You'll be lucky if you can get a seat in an unreserved area which is only four tables.

I was invisible. The wager smiled at me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One time sitting at the table for 2 hours only had one table with two chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No wonder they charge more for the other booths cuz they only have one waitress. That's how they cut costs. The wine was awful. Awful! Cabernet Sauvignon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At least they didn't push for buying another drink because I wouldn't being treated like I was invisible on an open dance Floor because there was no chairs and no tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] How exciting! I'll never go back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Harlow's was such a vibe![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm so upset that I hadn't visited sooner! A band I'm familiar with (members are childhood friends) was playing and I said this is the time! Friendly security and front desk staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Harlow's has an open floor plan which was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We paid for seating and enjoyed a booth with the perfect view of the stage.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wasn't excited about the menu (typical bar fare) but to our shock the Harlow's Burger AND fries absolutely smacked! Burger and fries are totally shareable. I enjoyed a blackberry cider (too bitter for my taste) but overall the dining experience exceeded my assumed expectations. I've been checking the calendar regularly so we can return. Loved my Harlow's experience!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came for the Irish palooza which was fun. The live music and dancing were great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks were good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you want to be able to sit down you have to pay extra.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You feel bad too when you stand because you block the view of those who have paid for seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was trying to talk to the front door people but they weren't very chatty or helpful. It was a good experience but not great.

This was my first time at the Scarlett Room which is part of Harlow's. every person from the front door to the gal Bartending that was from Manteca... (Rebecca, i hope that is right name)was Soo nice and welcoming. And the chef, Cinco was super D Duper nice. He Came up and introduced himself. I tried the veggie tacos and they were tasty. I looked for him at the end but couldn't find him. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went in a Sunday night to see my friends play... there wasn't a lot of people.. but was a very nice little spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only thing I would add is some bougie slub velvet couches and it would be perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a great time watching my friends play. loved the pool table in the "green room" & beer![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty cool venue in the city.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking isn't the worst around the area you'll Probally have to walk there though. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sound in the venue travels well and sounds great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A good floor too so even in a sold out show it doenst feel too crowded/like your a sardine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Workers are chill, very good at their jobs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The private higher area with seating is nice, kind of hard to see the stage at the best angle but there really are no bad seats since it's such a small venue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lighting is cool and well designed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall good experience and will want to see more shows here in the future, want to check out the Starlet room next.

Harlow's--- bar/ concert venue!!! My first time was this past Friday for mason Jennings!! The show was amazing! I think this is a nice bar/ venue! It was small, but cute and quaint. They have a full bar and a menu! I did try the Mozarella sticks and they were really good! Cheese pull approved! I don't like how they also had a show upstairs. You could hear it during the show I was at, which is a big turn off! But for pretty cheap tickets and a midtown location I guess I won't complain! The people working were nice too! I would come back again- but like I said having a show upstairs while you have one downstairs is shitty!

We stopped into Harlow's for a special event and I really didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by the space. They checked IDs at the door and our tickets for the event were scanned as we walked in. We were there early and it was pretty spacious with limited seating for the amount of people at the event we were attending. We made our way to the bar and ordered some drinks. The drinks seemed to range from $8-$15 and most of the drinks we ordered were $14. They also offer some food options which is nice! They utilized the stage for the event we attended and the audio, lighting and event were well done. They also have a back, outdoor, area that was decorated for Halloween and was a nice area to get a bit more personal space and fresh air. They had multiple bathrooms available, but I didn't use the facilities during this visit. After visiting, I would definitely come back again, but maybe come even earlier or buy the premium tickets to snag a seat instead of standing the whole time.

Harlows is always a good time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is some seating but mostly standing rom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I like the intimate setting and there's a back patio to chill on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also full bar and bites. I don't typically buy food and drinks but it looks good. They will provide table service. Staff is nice.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool venue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Security was chill[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], [[HIGHLIGHT]]sound was great[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and service was good. I don't understand why people are complaining about this place so much.

Expanding Into Fun DJ-Dance Events More! SITREP I've always enjoyed Harlow's a swanky speakeasy dinner theatre that hosts some really sweet bands. But I love seeing more of the kind of DJ-Dance events that l like to participate in. Usually the fun Gothic-Industrial events I like to patronize have been relegated to the Starlet Lounge ABOVE Harlow's on the 2nd Floor. Starlet is a great venue in itself, but much much smaller, with considerably less square footage for it's dancefloor. CHANGE-OF-HEART Now apparently the management have had a change of heart and realize that not only is it good business for them, but it's great for the loyal Gothic-Industrial scene to *open up* the larger Harlow's venue dancefloor to this loyal dance scene. THE SETUP Harlow's dancefloor is a nice large expansive floor that has tables and booth around the perimeter. There is a large expansive bar that is located on the right hand side as soon as you enter the venue. Makes it quite convenient to grab a drink, and then go and peruse the rest of the venue. HUGE PATIO! The patio is (almost) a venue in and of itself! Both lawned and hard surfaced-pathed, there are times when there is a DJ spinning out back here with some pretty chill music to relax to, or even host their own dance patio here! Very cool artistic media is thrown up onto the high walls and on some nights, the patio - which is accessible directly from Harlow's and by the staircase leading up & down from the Starlet Lounge - can be quite the multi-venue event space which can be accessed and intermixed by both venues at the same time. THE LOWDOWN I love this venue, and the best part? I live only 3 blocks away!

I appreciate Harlow's for bringing talented artists to the Sacramento area. The venue is nice and the sound quality is decent. I hope that Harlow's bring more old school r&b, jazz neo soul and hip hop artists to Sacramento to better compete with Yoshis so I don't have to always drive to the Bay. There's definitely a market here. Nonetheless, I always have a good time when I go. Keep up the good work!

    Ask the Community - Harlow's

Can tickets be purchased at the venue or only via etix?

Tickets can be purchased at the venue M-F 10-5. Call ahead on holidays to make sure we are open.

Has anyone attended their Mardi Gras event? Is food available for purchase?

Hi Abby, our kitchen will be open!

Are 16 year olds allowed to attend a show with a parent accompanying them?

Hi Monique! If the show is marked as "All Ages," guests of any age are welcome to attend. Age restrictions are specified on the show's page on our website. If you have any questions regarding any specific show, please give our office a call!

Is there a dress code? Specifically, baseball caps

Depends on the venue. Usually pretty casual I have gone to reggae events and they are ok with baseball caps shorts and T-shirt's or flip flops. I would call before but for the most part yes.

    What's the dress code?

You can wear whatever you want to wear as long as nothing is too "inappropriate" and whatnot. I'd say casual to put it in one word.

Do they let you wear baseball hats?

Long story short, they do. Whether they ask you to take it off during "pocket check" when you come in, depends on the management, but they let you wear it once you're in.

My wife and I are coming for a show. Will there be food (dinner) available?

Yep, the food is decent, yet quite expensive. You'll be able to get table service, including drinks.

Do they check you at the entrance? & do i need an id if the show is for all ages?

    Yes, shows are 21+

During dinner, the Operations Manager, Michael, stopped by our table to introduce himself and let us know he was available if we needed anything. He checked in with us multiple times throughout the evening, which was appreciated. However, the experience ended on a disappointing note. As we were leaving, we asked about having our parking validated and were told that nothing could be done because they had no validation tickets available. While the food and service were excellent, after spending approximately $2,500 on dinner, we expected that an Operations Manager would have the authority or flexibility to offer some alternative solution. And the way he spoke to his staff was not very nice. Unfortunately, that final interaction overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable evening and left our group feeling that this would likely be a one-time visit.

The restaurant is chic and romantic. Other than it being on the louder side, the decor is warm with more dim lighting. What I also noticed and really appreciated is that the tables were spacious and placed farther apart from each other, so you're not crammed with other people. My only complaint is location is on K St, which is hard to find parking and there is no valet. The food was great (details below) and we definitely plan to be back. Also, scallops on the menu would be amazing because that's my favorite entre to get when I eat out. I hope they add it! Focaccia bread with cherry compote: (5/5). So good! This came as a compliment from the chef and it was delicious. The bread was soft and warm. The toppings paired so well with it. They have just the focaccia bread on the menu, which I'm sure is great. If they add it with the toppings we would have ordered more. lol Zero proof strawberry daiquiri: (5/5) very good and had a nice strawberry flavor. It is on the sweeter side but I enjoyed it Pork belly: (5/5) also so good! I love pork belly and order it all the time. The pork belly was nice and tender. The glaze/sauce had a nice sweetness to it and the veggies complimented it very well. One of the best pork bellies I've had! Braised short ribs: (5/5) very good and what you expect from short ribs. The short ribs were nice and tender. It came in multiple pieces so easier to cut and eat. The sauce is on the lighter side, letting the meat flavor shine through. The mash and veggies were good as well Salmon: (3.5-4/5). Salmon was cooked well. The seasoning was more plain like a dry rub? I would have liked a glaze or something. It was decent though. Smashed crispy potatoes: (5/5) very good! They were hot and crispy. Had good seasoning. Pairs well with a lot of dishes

As someone who grew up enjoying Southern comfort food, I can honestly say these are some of the best beignets you'll find in the Sacramento area. They're huge, light, fluffy, served warm, and covered in the perfect amount of powdered sugar. They're always fresh, and every bite reminds me why I keep coming back. My daughter absolutely loves them too! She goes back and forth between these and Huckleberry's, but for me, Iron Horse Tavern takes the win. This time we ordered through DoorDash, along with a side of chicken, a bag of fries, and--if you know, you know--TWO sides of their amazing Sriracha cream cheese. Trust me... one isn't enough! Food: Outstanding. The beignets were the highlight, but everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. It's nice finding a restaurant that consistently delivers quality whether you're dining in or ordering takeout. Service: Everything arrived perfectly packaged, neatly organized, and exactly as ordered. Nothing was forgotten, nothing spilled, and I even loved the thoughtful touch of the bag being labeled with my name. Little details like that make a difference. Ambiance: I've dined inside several times, and Iron Horse Tavern has one of my favorite atmospheres in Sacramento. Located in the historic R Street District, the restaurant blends modern industrial style with warm, inviting décor that pays tribute to the area's railroad history. Whether you're stopping in for brunch, dinner, or cocktails, it's a place that's lively without feeling overwhelming. If you've never tried the beignets here, you're missing out. Sacramento doesn't have many places serving authentic-style beignets, and Iron Horse Tavern has definitely earned a spot at the top of my list. I'll absolutely be back... probably sooner than I should!
