If you know, you know. This lounge is a great neighborhood dive bar and also a beacon for those who understand that lifestyle doesn't always have to be broadcast. The bar is no-nonsense, mellow, and welcoming. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the bar owner, Connie, and her adorable dog, Jax, both of whom seem exceptionally smart. Connie gives great hugs. Jax is excellent at fetch, and loves to be petted (who doesn't? - consensually of course). Thursday nights are Karaoke night. Fri and Sat there's a cover charge, but it's not crazy. The drinks were strong, not expensive ($9 for a Jack and Coke, not bad at all), and everyone was friendly. The Karaoke singers ranged in talent, but they all had bravery that I did not show that evening. Definitely are coming back. Love this spot, can't wait to try the food. read more

If I can get this place zero stars I would, the owner is Connie disrespectful and nasty and old tired hag. I asked for 2 cups of water at the bartender being as I'm new. I don't know where the water is at. She pointed at the water area, but had a Stank attitude like I'm just a bar back and you're only allowed to have two waters at maximum so I was confused cause I couldn't really hear her over the loud music, but she started saying that my face was irritating her that I was mugging her. I wasn't mugging her. I was trying to figure out what she was saying on top of that, how are you guys a bar and only giving a two drink limit when it comes to water also there's no in and out so when I came back to Grab my homegirl's keys to leave She was adamant on talking to the security with the drink situation and the in and out pointing at the door when I came back in I had to say I'm already leaving made me feel very uncomfortable. I don't know if it was because of my skin color however sitting in a area with all white people and they're all staring at me as I'm leaving and she's whispering to the same customers it's very weird. They don't allow hats. Well. They allow hats. But only some hats. And not every night. Actually, you can wear a hat every night of the week there - just not all hats on all nights. You can wear porkpies, trilbies, and stovepipes MWF, berets TThS, Toboggans before Labor Day, fedoras before the 7pm dinner rush, Panamas in autumn, derbies every night even if it has a pin but the pin can't be political - they can't risk someone getting the vapors - and tinfoil actually has its own night. But no baseball hats. Not ever. But mostly on Fridays. Quit jacking yourselves off with your inane moratorium on baseball hats. Here's an idea: if you think somebody is a gang member there to cause a problem, refuse service. My hat didn't do NUFFIN'! All hats matter. That being said, it's an alright spot. This is why I love Yelp! Who would've known about this place if it wasn't for it? I was in the area and I was hungry! I passed by this place and saw all the cars. I was a bit skeptical since they are next door to a laundromat and although they were busy, I thought all those cars couldn't belong to the number of people in the laundromat? So I checked Yelp for the reviews, the reviews were positive and legit. I was pleased to read that they had food. As I entered, I saw that they had a good number of customers at the bar and I found myself a seat. I ordered an 805 and asked for the food menu. I overheard customers raving about how good their liver and onions were here. Either you love it or hate it. I grew up with it and have never acquired a taste for it so I ordered a cheeseburger. Now the cheeseburger was on their $6 Monday lunch special. I figured, it's got to be small considering it's only $6 and included fries, but I was wrong. When it came out, I was quite surprised. It was a hefty burger with a generous amount of crispy skinny fries. The plate was HUGE! They even added a slice of ripe watermelon and cantaloupe. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection. Overall I'm happy Yelp lead me here and didn't steer me wrong. If you're a fan of liver n onions, I suggest you try them out. The guys next to me ordered it and loved it! The bartender was very friendly and I think it was her mom who is the cook? She mentioned they have pot roast on other weeknights as they have a rotating food special. This is a dive bar and the interior is a bit dated but that's the reason why I'd come here again! read more

A friend wanted to meet me somewhere so we pick this place out of the blue and what a bummer we did. The doorman was about as friendly as an overworked cab driver with hemorrhoids in New York. We paid a cover charge to get into that foul smelling pit and they wouldn't refund it even though we left before even ordering a drink. To top it off there was literally dogshit in the parking lot and I stepped in it before getting into my car. I'll never be able to pass that placed without thinking about that foul smelling dog crap in my car which, oddly enough, resembled what it smelled like inside that place. Surprise, Firefly has great food! Hadn't visited since early 2017. New owner. Seems like a different atmosphere, etc. Now has lunch and breakfast (also liver and onions on Mondays for those of us who are fans).
