I had lasik performed here after two different people recommended them. I was pretty afraid of having my corneas lasered. The procedure went very well and I have 20/20vision (I can see individual leaves, birds, signage, and best of all, I can see when I wake up without grabbing for my glasses). A nice side bonus- my almost daily headaches that were attributed to just about everything else went away. Turns out, astigmatism can cause headaches, and the astigmatism was corrected during the surgery. The actual process/ surgery/ whatever you want to call it lasted less than five minutes. They have an organized system and you can feel a bit like the lone cattle being herded around. My one complaint was lack of information/ communication during the actual process/ surgery. I know I'm not the only person that has gone into a procedure like this thinking- "please don't let anything go wrong. I just want to see." Like a captain piloting a plane, it's super helpful when they come on the intercom to say "just turbulence, we'll be out of this in a few." The eye version would be- you might be feeling pressure- totally normal- only 10 more seconds left. That aside, My recovery was great, and my eyesight today is fantastic. I followed their instructions exactly, used drops constantly the first few days, and took the day after the procedure off and slept. I read a study that said sleep was the best way to a good recovery within the first 48 hours, and that is what I did. I would recommend this procedure to everyone. Life changing. Most of all, I appreciated Dr. Harman's perfectionism and exactness. I don't need my doctor to have a great personality; I just need them to be great at their job, especially when I'm the one on the table. He is/ was. Bait and switch? I went in for a routine eye exam and to get a prescription for glasses. Because I had floaters, I ended up with a "medical" exam that cost me $$$ and did not fulfil my insurance's requirement for a routine eye exam. Nobody told me how the visit would be billed and I did not find out until I got the results from the insurance company. Had I known this was going to happen, I could have easily gone to an optical center to get an exam for free. Now I've read other reviews, this kind of thing seems to be a Harman specialty. I'd recommend you try somewhere else so you will get what you ask for and what you are expecting...or at least an explanation of a change that needed to be made because of a "medical condition." I've had floaters my whole life! And all the doctor said was to use eye drops for my dry eyes. Thanks a lot! read more

New to town and quite disappointed. I visited the Harman Eye Center on Langhorne Avenue in October 2017 and was quite disappointed with my experience. Though the reception team were professional and friendly, even the prep team I met with before actually meeting with the doctor. The Doctors' visit was for a standard visit though as a new patient his energy and interest was sub-par at best. The most that I received from him was that now over 40 apparently my life was over (exaggeration but that's how his communication was received). In addition to my eye exam I was scheduled for a cosmetic consultation but when I experienced the low energy and interest from the doctor, I didn't bring it up. Decided I would pursue another business. Then it was time to select my new glasses. I selected a pair but felt as though I was severely UPSOLD to get progressive lenses when I have a single vision RX and only wear my glasses at night when driving in unfamiliar spaces. Well $305 later it was apparent I am nowhere near ready for progressive lenses in fact the RX in the glasses wasn't correct. When I returned and was retested my RX was only a click or two different from what I already had in my original glasses I took with me to the 1st exam. So I was told they would redo my lenses but even though the correct and single lens RX was much cheaper than the Progressives I was UPSOLD, I was offered no refund or credit. I was only told that my insurance would not refund or make an adjustment. Someone else's review mentioned this is a multi-million dollar company, I hope this isn't how they made their millions. I'm not encouraged to return for further service. Bait and Switch is correct! read more
