Three days after my mother's passing, while her family still had full legal possession of her apartment, someone entered using a master key without our permission. My mother's belongings had been moved and sorted through. A set of keys with an employee's nametag was left behind in the apartment, which I photographed. We also noticed that specific jewelry items were missing. When I brought this evidence to Brightview leadership, their response was dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of internally investigating the unauthorized entry or the left-behind keys, they questioned my account because I did not have "before" photos of the apartment and the jewelry. This heartless handling of a secure space during our time of grief was deeply traumatic for my family. Based on my experience, management did not take this security breach seriously, and I advise families to be extremely cautious regarding the security of their loved ones' units.

The office personnel are extremely good at communicating. When there were scheduling issues, they were immediately resolved. I was never left without help. The caregivers are punctual, empathetic, professional and go above and beyond. They are truly lovely people who care about your loved ones. I am especially thankful to Hilda, Bernie, Lorraine, Jumilla and Catalina. I recommend them absolutely. I wish we had known about them earlier.

It's terrible here. Check if there is plenty of parking. Almost none here. Ask other resident's family how accurate the medication distributors are and how they keep up with changes in dr.'s orders. Ask if they do background checks on their staff. Be sure to ask your loved one about the care they are getting. Be specific. Our loved one told us the aide just left (them) in the shower to do everything for themselves, which they can't! - and we are paying for more attentive care! so be sure to ask details from your loved one. I understand all senior living places have their issues and that's so sad for family who want and pay for better care. But if you have notified the staff of your concerns in a courteous and professional manner, as we have, you should see at least SOME change instead of angry stares for speaking up and still no change at all, as we have. I pray God's help to you who are in the looking process.

What stood out most to us is how deeply they care. The team often went above and beyond, even visiting my parents at home or in rehab facilities just to check in on them. I would normally give one star based on my experience overall, but I am giving two stars because the OT Jamelle and the PT Kelly were wonderful with my dad and providing family training. I myself am a healthcare worker and I'm aware of what the services should entail. They are clearly vested in their businesses bottom line, not patient care. My dad was seen by an licensed PT for the initial evaluation and the he was then assigned to a PTA, who was very nice, but would've done absolutely nothing with my dad other than sitting in chair doing leg exercises, had I not requested she work on functional tasks performing sit to stand, walking with his walker and assessing if he could do stairs as he was independent and able to climb 14 steps prior to his recent hospitalization. Furthermore when the PTA did come she was only there for usually 30 mins max. As other people had noted in the reviews, and where I think the problems stem from, are the higher ups the branch manager and above. They did an awful job in scheduling caregivers and abysmal communication/responses when reaching out to them. Sadly this organization he really declined and I would not recommend them for any home health services.

The dissapointing review is for how poorly communication was handled when the caregiver had a family emergency. The boss at ComForCare assured me that she would be back, despite missing day 2 of a 5 day reservation. On day 3, when the caregiver was to show up, she didn't show. We called the boss and she said, " Oh I thought you spoke to the caregiver, that she can't come". That response is objectively super poor. As a caregiver, you are helping people when they cannot help themselves or need extra hands. Especially in a backup care situation, to ensure that not only was the caregiver not coming, but why didn't you ensure we got someone new? This resulted in us not having care for two days, and it really made a difficult situation harder for us. Caregiver - 4 stars communication/organization/follow-thru - 0 stars Be careful if you need them in a pinch.
