Tyler had greeted me at the main lobby and was so polite. I was intrigued, as it was my first time there, so I asked a bunch of questions about the place and he was so helpful and was very accommodating. He took me for a tour before I started my infrared sauna session and showed me all the different things that Float 41 had to offer. We started with taking a peek at the fire and ice plunge room, and then we walked to the common area where he offered us tea and relaxation if we wanted to stay there after our experience. The room was just so zen and peaceful. He continued the tour and showed us the float rooms which looked very interesting and will have to try the next time. Our stop ended at our infrared sauna session where we were able to relax and change into robes and given slippers to go inside with. As we stepped inside I noticed it was nice and toasty but I was able to breathe still. It wasn't like a regular sauna where it feels stuffy. This was enjoyable and actually breathable. The session lasted 45 minutes and I felt so rejuvenated after. We were able to shower and we were given water and towels to freshen up after. The experience felt cozy and comfortable and I really enjoyed my time.

(I love to meditate so I thought this one would be fun to try.) Both services were just what I needed! The float helped relieve the tension in my shoulders (from stress and working at a desk all day) and gave me the sort of deep quiet you only get from being truly unplugged. BrainTap felt like I dialed my normal meditation up a notch. I love that it engages both hemispheres of the brain. So cool! I definitely feel more relaxed and plan to go back again. I'm in a season of my life where I need to commit more to myself but I find that hard to do regularly. Imagine Float made it really easy to prioritize myself and I know I need more of that in my life. I've already booked me next float. :) The facilities are clean, quiet, and relaxing. I never felt like I was being rushed to the services or to get out after. The staff offered me a tea menu after and let me sit in the quiet room to hang out for a bit. That extra bit of decompression and transition time was really nice. I so often feel like I am running from one thing to the next and this just stresses me out. I did it three times during my session, first time was for a minute, second time I was more mentally prepared and worked on my breathing which allowed me a five minute session, last time two and a half minutes as I was done with it The massage was zen. After watching the informational video for our float session, Jade walked us back to the our separate rooms. The space was so clean and welcoming. We each had our own individuals rooms with a shower, float bath, robe, slippers and toiletries. It was an expectational experience. When we came back on Sunday for our full spa day which included a 3 min cryotherapy session, 1 hour float, 1 hour massage with Jalisa and Stephen followed by an hour sauna session. The deep tissue massages by Stephen and Jalisa were otherworldly. I usually ask for a deep tissue massage but never felt that folks were able to get deep enough, this was not the case. Both my mother and myself felt that every knot we had in our bodies was released and cared for during our session. There were multiple times I felt that multiple hands were on me though it was Stephen and my mom felt the same way with Jalisa. All staff at Ripple Float ensured we were comfortable, hydrated with their many free selections of tea, water and kombucha (available for purchase). She spent the beginning of the appointment doing a deep tissue massage, focusing on my areas of tension. This included some stretching, which felt amazing. She was very knowledgeable, commenting on reasons for tension/knots in certain areas and even knowing from massaging my neck that I clench my teeth! At the end of the massage came the cupping. Amanda used stationary cups (the traditional ones that stay in place with suction) as well as cups that she moved around, describing it as almost a "reverse massage." This was a "hurts but feels good" situation for me. I really enjoyed it, and felt like the tension in my neck and shoulders was finally relieved. Amanda suggested an epsom salt bath and rest as cupping is intended to detox the body. I took her suggestions and felt so relaxed. The cupping did leave marks but they went away in about a week. They're prices are reasonable and SOME of the nail techs are very kind and work hard. But I'm not sure the people who work there are happy or getting paid fairly. I found this spa on groupon. Most of the time you go to buy a massage groupon offer but then the place can't get you in for weeks so I decided to call before purchasing to see their availability. Stephanie was able to get me and my husband in ASAP and even honored the groupon offer herself instead of having me go through the purchase steps through the website offer. We were both greeted by name when we walked in which was a very warming touch. It's small and intimate which helped with the nerves. Often in a bigger establishment you're not sure where to go and there's always a lot of people around. This was very private which scored them major points right off the start. The massage room was perfectly decorated with soothing water and music sounds reverberating off the walls. Stephanie was professional, courteous, and very good at her job. My girlfriend was fine with hers (except for reason above), but 2 issues with mine. First, Kaitlyn did ask me if I wanted any area to have special attention and I said my scalp. Just before the massage ended, I think she may have massaged my scalp for a minute. Second thing: my entire massage was with me face down. My girlfriend was asked to roll over, but I remained face down the entire hour. I have never had an hour massage when only one side was treated. Despite that, I gave them each a $20 tip for their time, but neither of us are inclined to return. And if you are thinking they must have been busy that day, no. There was no one in the waiting area when we arrived and one person walked in when we were leaving. I emailed the owner to share this (not requesting a refund but as a head's up) and never heard back.

I booked a massage online using their system and received a confirmation of my booking after I placed my credit card. When I arrived (40 minute drive from my home), there was no available therapist. I was told that the spa was changing online booking systems and that they were sorry and that the therapist was probably sick. They did try to call to find someone last minute and offered me a 50% discount on my next massage which was very generous. So, I tried again to book a service the next day, received a confirmation and decided to call the number online to double confirm so as not to end up in the same situation. I did so 2 days in a row and even sent a text via a chatbot and never heard back. I decided to try calling the chatbot number and someone answered. She confirmed my appointment and then proceeded to ask me if I would be willing to change my service booking since the therapist usually doesn't like doing multiple services if they take 3 hours. I asked if the therapists communicate their preferences so that customers can't book something which cannot be performed. The receptionist started to get defensive and asked if I knew that 3 hours was a long time to book services for. I then asked her if I could give her some constructive feedback: that I found it very difficult to communicate with Soma and effectively book services-something I've done online hundreds of times over the years with different businesses. Surprisingly, she felt the need to announce that she would cancel my appointment and tried to hang up on me. I was able to get her to hear me in my request that my feedback simply be fed up to the management, but I experienced her as persistent in her "not my problem or responsibility" message. I told her that as a receptionist, she is the outward face of her company even if she isn't the owner or therapist. Overall an incredibly unprofessional experience. I will not return and will warn friends against Soma. There are so many wonderful businesses with excellent customer service in the area which I would encourage people to patron.

I had a 60 minute Swedish Massage with Elle at Body of Needs Spa yesterday and have finally found my new MT and Spa home!! The experience begins with being welcomed by their delightful receptionist who offered me water and had me fill out their very detailed intake form that asks everything from specific areas of focus, lotion or oil preference, amount of pressure and all the things your MT needs to tailor your massage. Elle came out to get me and brought me in to a very tranquil treatment room. There is a whiteboard on the wall and Elle used it to note where I wanted her to focus, any thing that was important to me for my massage and then she stepped out so that I could undress. As she started the massage, the pressure was a little lighter than I wanted so I told her and she immediately adjusted. She really worked on my problem areas and gave a great full body massage!! I'm a little sore today, but in the best possible way!! I immediately scheduled my next appointment with Elle as soon as I got in the car; a 90 minute this time,. Their online booking makes it so easy to book, reschedule, or cancel your appointment. Needless to say Elle and Body of Needs are my new go to!!
