No one apparently speaks english here and the manager is a pushy old lady who forces customers to pay a tip that is greater than 25% She actually demands the tip from clients. I'm actually a good tipper but I've seen them push 2 innocent people in feeling guily that they did not leave a big enough tip. This is not good business practice. I have been going to this place for years but never wrote a review. I go 1-2 times a year. When I went last week there was a sign displayed in front ofthe shop stating $35 for 1 hour body massage. When I walked in Julie was the only one there and said in broken english not $35, $40 dollars. I asked her about the sign and she pretend she didn't understand. I said okay $40 then immediatly she responded plus tip $10. I told her I don' give a tip until aftet and Iike the massage. I went into the room and she gives me a mediocre massage which in the middle she left for 10 minutes after telling me be back in a minute. Afterwoods she tried to get a tip from me and I didn't feel she deserved one but I gave her 4 quarters anyway. I thought she was going to throw them back at me. She became very angry and insisted I give her more. I really felt threatened by her and asked her if she wanted to call the police and she told me you call the police. I was upset at that point and started to leave and she yelled don't ever come back. When I got home I looked up the Milpitas Chamber of commerce to see if Harmony was listed and of course they weren't. Needless to say I won't be returning to that place. They not only mislead with their advertising, they practically shake you down for money and threaten you. Mediocre massage. Definiely not a place I would recommend!! read more

Been here about a dozen times and never had a bad massage. My personal fav is Judy, but all the girls I've had are great. I recommend this place and remember the unwritten rule is to tip ten minimum. The massages are great that I end up tipping way more than that anyways. I've hit up spa massages that charge $1-200/hr in vegas casinos, but wasn't clearly as good. read more

Not sure what some of the other reviews are talking about. No mention is ever made of a tip, either before or after the massage. You leave the tip that you choose afterwards. The massage is excellent, much better than average. The atmosphere is nice. The music in the background is pleasant. The price is unbeatable. I have always wanted a good massage to relieve me of life stressors and decided to give this new place a try. It turns out that this is the most rewarding experience I have had: the massage increases my blood circulation and relieves tension and neck spasms. The muscles in my neck become tight and hard from overuse, poor posture, stress and from an uncomfortable night's sleep. As I do a lot of computer work, I can feel my neck stiffen. My therapist Lori was able to massage my neck and other areas by finding the tight muscles and putting deep pressure on these muscles. I would definitely return for ongoing treatment, as treating early mild symptoms right away can often stop the symptoms from becoming worse. Got a Mandarin speaking lady who says she has been working there for a year. She spoke little English. I got the deep tissue massage ($35 Groupon + $5 for deep tissue). I am disappointed because there was little pressure and body feels same after massage and not rejuvenated. May be this person was new and put less effort. Best massage I've had here in the bay area. I love that they actually use oil so more traditional and good for skin than lotions so many others use. Wipe with hot towels afterwards. The people who work here are kind and lovely - not like some very pushy and abrupt foot massages places around. So the relaxed feeling remains with you. Desk gril is really nice to set up appointment for us and massage asian lady are very nice and gentle to provide service. we feel totally relax after 1 hour massage. I have gone here maybe 4 or 5 times in the last two years. This place is relaxing. I am giving this place 4 stars because of my last visit. I pre-paid and gave the lady $45 dollars for the massage ($40 for a deep tissue +$5 Tip). $5, which I thought would be a sufficient amount. The masseuse did a really good job. My neck and right arm were hurting, I told her and she focused on that area. I felt a lot better. She asked a few times during the massage if I felt better. I told her that I did. AFter the massage, when I walked out, the lady at the front desk said, if you feel better can you give her more tip. I was so uncomfortable because there were 3 women standing there. I don't mind giving the extra tip because she did do a good job, but asking in front of other customers and other workers was rude. A tip is not required it is a just a nice gesture. read more

I don't know why my previous review doesn't show. Harmony is the best deal I have yet seen. People who think they should be paying 15% tips are out of their minds. You are not at a restaurant where the help gives you about 5 min of their time. The massage therapist counts on you and you alone to stay alive. The therapists at harmony are top notch and really try to go the extra mile to make sure you're satisfied. They count on a large part of their pay in tips and when you cheapskate them they feel cheated. read more

today was the first time going in cause my back has been out for 3 days and i jave bad back pain so i go and start asking the girl some questions about the different massages and she couldnt respond because it seem she didnt understand me so i paid 40 for the tissue massage the massage was okay but once we where finishes i got up my back was worse than when i came in a couldn't move i couldnt even lift my leg so i walked slowly out she gave me water and she said tip i looked at her puzzled but i understood i was going to give her 2 dollars but she said 10 and i looked at her like what?! i told her where does it say that she pointed under the receipt and it didnt say nothing about a $10 tip like i already paid when i first got there so i was already running late for work and gave it to her since she didnt even earn those $10 so i ended up paying $50 for the whole thing smh!!!! read more

I called ahead of time to make an appointment for 2 foot massage and the lady said there is a 630 foot massage available so i took it. Then when we get there, the same lady i spoke to is in the front desk, told me that I WASNT clear that what i want was only foot massage. That the only available is for full body masaage which is ofcourse more expensive. I was pretty upset, but my spouse and I just decided to take it since we're there already. WORST DECISION EVER. The body massage was like done by a 12 year old little girl! No pressure at all, and did not do anything right. So I just gave them a $10 tip for two. The lady in the front desk had the audacity to stop us while we're on our way out and tell us they normally receive $10 tip each person! But i told her no, that's all we want to give. I purchased a groupon for a one hour Swedish Massage. When I got to the front desk I upgraded $5 for the deep tissue which was well worth it. Everyone on yelp complained about them charging additional charges for the upgrade, however I paid cash for the upgrade and had absolutely no problems (which is what I recommend you do). Judy was fantastic and professional and once the massage was complete I tipped her a 20% cash tip off of the original amount (which is what any intelligent person is suppose to do for great service). That equates to a $16tip for an original $80 massage. Being a masseuse is a very strenuous low paying job, so the least you could do is tip accordingly. I work in the service industry so in my eyes if you can't afford to tip for good service than you shouldn't be going out. This place was very polite and professional and I would recommend it to anyone. Bring cash for tips, it's easier anyways. read more

Just came from there after being turned away from ocean day spa, I as glad i was able to be seen and they had an open slot in the evening. The place was nice and clean to me. Upon waling in i was greeted by the receptionist she was sweet. And told me there groupon prices are the same as they offer yet they're not the sweetish is 33 on groupon 35 in store but the deep tissue is 40 right now in store vs groupon is more. I upgraded to the deep tissue since i didn't know sweetish was soft. My massage was fine the hot towel to the get the oil off was warm surprising yet very nice. I would have preferred a deeper massage but my masseuse was maybe 1/3 my size if that when she was on my back i could barely feel her but she did very good. My old gripe if i had something to say was it wasn't deep enough but served its purpose. I am grateful for their service after my dealings with that other place that didn't honor my groupon. I never got the name of my masseuse but she did good. read more
