A group of approximately 30 dined in for a surprise birthday dinner. The restaurant is fairly new and was very clean during my visit. There is a separate dining area for tables not eating hibachi. The Harmony staff was very accommodating, but we had to be split up into 2 hibachi tables. I decided to try a fried crab Rangoon roll. It was delicious. However, I wasn't as impressed with my chicken and shrimp hibachi meal. The salad and soup broth was typical of most hibachi restaurants very underwhelming. My entree was just okay. I've had better at other hibachi restaurants in the city and suburbs. With the cost of the meal, it wasn't worth it to me. However, I'd definitely go back to try some rolls to go. read more

Just opened, brand spanking new, another Harmony Steakhouse on the Northwest side. This chain has remarkable sushi and hibachi, so I have been anticipating the opening of this location just off Michigan Road. The dining room is upscale and lovely and there is a separate hibachi area. There is a full bar, but it was difficult to gauge how full. An outdoor seating area is available. The seating is comfortable and space far enough that we could talk. The hostess sat us immediately and Iggy served us, quickly bringing us water. He was attentive and friendly. The lunch menu is reasonably priced and entrees come with soup or salad. The Miso Soup is light and good with bits of seaweed. The salad has a wonderful parmesan rice vinegar dressing. The sushi is artfully presented. The Fried Spicy Crab roll was my favorite with a nice little heat and a crunchy panko batter. The Spicy Yellowfin Tuna roll and Spicy Tempura Shrimp rolls were also delicious. Country music was playing a little loud and we asked if they could turn the volume down. They happily did turn it down. The restaurant is a quick jump off the highway, with an easy on and off. There is plenty of handicapped parking and no steps. Overall, excellent lunch. We went on a Sunday evening. Chose the non hibachi side, as we were in a sushi mood. Everything we had was excellent. We tried a variety. The Karaage, mushrooms and Rock lobster are all highly recommended. Sushi wise we had a Harmony roll and Crab Rangoon roll. All Fantastic. My wife also had the Miso Ramen. Again, very good. I'll definitely be back, as I want to try the hibachi side as well. Service was awesome as well. She kept our drinks full and made sure everything was good. read more

Harmony is apparently a pillar in Indianapolis and now I know why. Fast and friendly service which is always great especially on the weekend. They have a a lot of options on the menu. This was our first time here! We decided not to sit at the hibachi grills! We still had a nice time. It's very clean and pretty on the inside. The service was quick and our waiter was kind! I was very surprised by the portion of the Karaage, in a good way! Most places don't give you that much! As far as the food most of it was very delicious! The rice wasn't nasty but it wasn't great! The noodles paired well with my food which I enjoyed. My steak had a lot of fat pieces compared to my boyfriend so that wasn't very fun! Overall though those things were small! I think this is a really great place to go too and I like the ambiance in comparison to Benihana. I hope to try their ramen the next time I go! read more

I had a belated birthday lunch at Harmony Steakhouse today to celebrate my friend, and it was a five-star experience from start to finish. We dined in at our own hibachi table, which made the whole experience feel even more special and personal. I ordered the Hibachi Chicken, which came with mushroom soup, salad, and a Coke Zero (with free refills -- always a bonus). Everything was absolutely delicious -- I nearly cleared my plate, and the portion was so generous I still had leftovers to take home. The service was PERFECTION. Our waiter was attentive and kind, and the hibachi chef was hilarious, personable, and so entertaining. He made the meal feel like a celebration in itself! The restaurant was spotless and well-maintained -- the chairs were a little low, but nothing that took away from the comfort or experience. We had a reservation, and even though I arrived late, they seated us without any issue or stress. And considering the quality of the food and the overall vibe, the price was incredibly reasonable. This was my first visit, and I'm so glad I came! I'll definitely be returning -- next time, I'm excited to try the sushi and their hot tea. read more

I love the Whitestowns location and I am thrilled that another location near me has opened! I definitely feel like this location is cursed, but hopefully Harmony can change that. Classy just like the other location, it is definitely weird looking out to the back of a rundown shopping plaza and Denny's, but it had no effect on my dining experience. I cannot say what the hibachi area looks like, we were in the "sit down" area (that's what they called it). That had me picture a bunch of people standing eating hibachi. And it seemed to be poppin' on that side, LOL. -Our order- Drinks: Japanese Melon soda Japanese Orange soda Appetizer: Karaage Miso soup The yummies: Philadelphia Roll Salmon Roll Everything Tuna Roll Fuji Mountain Roll The Fuji Mountain roll was delicious, my favorite out of all of them. However, I am a little confused the menu description for it. Our had mango sauce on it and it does not indicate that on the menu. Normally I would be perturbed if I wasn't getting exactly what I ordered, but... eeehhh, tbh, the hubs ordered it. And tbh, the mango sauce really took it to next level... so, happy accident? We went when the restaurant was first established and were sat pretty quickly. There weren't that many people there despite it being on the weekend but we could hear the staff in the back laughing. It was good vibes. Then it quickly turned into a waiting game. The waiter never introduced himself or even tried to say anything to us as we waited. At that point I knew it wasn't the place I wanted to be. After waiting almost 20 min with no greeting we left. Didn't get to try any food so that was disappointing. read more

First time visiting here and I really enjoyed myself. We sat in the hibachi area and the chef was amazing. Very engaging, sang to me multiple times for my birthday, and he cooked an amazing meal! I usually go to Benihana abut 3 times a year for birthday celebrations and this was by far the better choice. We had been waiting for this location to open for a long time. Finally went and were so disappointed. No hood vents so the entire time smoke blew in our faces, to the point of our eyes watering and coughing. All of our clothing stank after. They had a back door open to help, but I noticed they needed Zevo bug traps to compensate for the open door. Food was lower quality and not worth anywhere near the high prices. Recognized one of the hibachi chefs from another hibachi place we like. He had been horrible and inappropriate there and we were disappointed to see him here, also being inappropriate and s*xual with his table. That group also looked uncomfortable. He seemed to recognize us and even threw food at us as a "joke." Not funny at all and this should've been the point when we left. $40/person pre-tip and taxes wasted. Won't be back. Unless you are eating at a Hibachi Grill I would not recommend this restaurant. We waited 15 minutes at the hostess stand before anyone came out to seat us and we had a reservation. Then when seated it took another 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. Our food took way too much time to come out and we didn't even get our drinks until 1/2 way through our meal. The waitress never came to check on us to see if we wanted anything else or to ask how our meal was. Then we had to go find her because she wasn't bringing the check way after we had finished eating. We arrived at 8:55p knowing they closed at 9:30p (listed on their website and on the door). We had sat down and before we could open our menus, "Milky" the waiter, came to the table and asked "Are you ready?" After explaining we just sat down he walked away. Less than 5 minutes later..."Are you ready?" I put in an appetizer order and had to tell him we needed more time with the menu but he could go ahead and put the appetizer order in. After we gave him our order we realized he never asked for a drink order. Eventually he came back and we tried to order a hot sake. Milky said "We don't have hot sake today, just cold." *I'm pretty sure all you have to do is heat up the cold sake. Please tell me I am wrong. Anyway, as we were finishing eating, he literally dropped the check folder on the table and said , "Because we closed 30 minutes ago." And walked away. The time was 9:31p. They closed at 9:30p.
