They are "udderly" delicious! We normally go to Harmony Highlands for a hike and decided to stop by Harmony as the summery weather is perfect for some local icy treats and Harmony ice cream definitely hit the spot! My mom got two scoops of the coffee and I got two of the butter pecan. Most of the flavors are sold in pint-size and available at the local grocery stores except for coffee. Both flavors of the ice cream were exceptionally made. One can definitely taste the natural creaminess and the fresh ingredients such as visible coffee grounds and large bits of pecans. Up until last night I thought Doc Bernstein's was the best. Meet the new contender! The ice cream is not cheap. That being said, you can buy love! The ice cream is luscious, not so much fat that it coasts your tongue so you can't taste the flavors. The mint chocolate chip and mint and a fresh taste (not mint flavor additive). My only complaint, and recommendation, would be for larger pieces of chocolate. Kudos and well done! read more

This place was recommended by the state park ranger at the ranger station in Morro Bay. We've stopped by here after hiking nearby. They were serving their ice cream at the ice cream truck (I assumed this truck is parked here permanently here). We ordered coffee bean and butter pecan. They were soooo good that we even bought a pint of coffee bean ice cream at Spencer's when we went back to Morro Bay! It's too bad they don't sell them where we live. We were so sad when we stopped by this tiny dairy town on a Thursday afternoon to learn that the Harmony Valley Creamery only scoops on weekends from 12PM to 4PM. I took it as a sign that trying the ice cream from this beloved town just wasn't in the cards. All that changed when we happened to stumble upon the very same truck during our stroll later that evening at the downtown SLO farmer's market! As soon as I spotted it, I knew it was an opportunity we couldn't pass up, even though we were full from dinner. We went with a double scoop and had the coffee bean and salted caramel. Harmony Valley sure knows their ice cream. To say their ice cream is luscious would be understatement. I will admit that I wasn't a huge fan of how sticky or tacky it was, which made it somewhat difficult to scoop with our plastic spoons. Ridiculously good ice cream! Fresh and fantastic. The strawberry here is hands down my favorite. It tastes so so fresh. It's the best I have ever had. Given that I eat a lot of ice cream, I mean a lot, that says a good amount of this particular one. The coffee has bits of coffee in it so it has a tiny amount of crunch. The chocolate is a milk chocolate and very nice. You can't go wrong on a flavor here. And they are super fair in the price of a wafer cone. It's nice. The ice cream is delicious but the prices are quite high-especially considering they are coming out of a food truck. $2.25 for a mini scoop and it's literally like a teaspoon amount. A regular scoop is $4.75 and it's ok amount but I wouldn't say generous. The best deal is two scoops for $5.95, but if you can't stuff 2 scoops down, it doesn't do you any good. For 5 single scoops and a mini it was $26 so make sure to bring plenty of money and check the schedule to make sure they are serving. read more

You can tell a legit ice cream place by how the vanilla tastes. If it's only good with lots of random sweets and add-ins, that's not real ice cream.
