    Fries, fry sauce, cheeseburger.

Good little, local, neighborhood burger shop off the main roads. Some of the best fries I have had in a long, long time. Fresh cut, crispy. Some were longer than the burger. I honestly can't remember the last time I had fries that didn't look like they came from the bottom of a bag lately. Sweet potato fries were crispy and great too. The burger was good but not great. Good toppings, melt cheese, fresh veggies. The bad was the bun could have been toasted more, the bacon was on the thick, hard side and the meat of the patties was a bit stringy but cooked well. The fry sauce was on the more mayonnaise side with a tangy Dijon Mustard like quality. The service was great and prompt. They were super nice. The place is clean and neat. Outdoor picnic table only and that is fine for a burger joint. Ordered for pick up via DoorDash. Will be back, but the partner was unimpressed. Giving a 4 because the burger quality could have been better but definitely fixable. I hope to give them a 5 in the future though.

Outdoor dog-friendly seating with a covered shade structure

Great vintage location, friendly service, and some of the best hamburgers we've had in Washington. We'll be making a point of visiting every time we pass through.

Order: Double Deluxe Cheeseburger w/ small fries, small drink, tartar and fry sauce Burger Layout: Bun, Cheese, Burger, Cheese, Burger, Tomato, Lettuce, Onion, Pickle, Mayo, Bun Cost: $12 Fries: Crinkle Cut Not knowing my way around Centralia at all, Harold's Burger Bar was certainly not the easiest place to find. GPS was telling me to drive through people's yards, there was a viaduct in the way of where it seemed like it was, and any number of other Centralian obstacles. This was all remedied by a call to the place that was helpful in guiding me to the humble burger joint. Parked and walked up to place an order. The staff confirmed I was the lost person and continued to be friendly as I made sure my potential order contained zero ketchup. While conversing I noticed the man at the grill plunking down frozen puck after frozen puck to the grill. Certainly not a good sign, but I still had hope. The order came out quick enough, but due to rain and cold my vehicle functioned as the dining area. Most of the burger was crafted perfectly: lightly toasted bun, ideal proportions of all condiments involved, fresh veggies, and a good sauce. The frozen puck factor was what came back to haunt the sandwich though. The meat was boring throughout, extra dry, and even hard / chewy in spots. The crinkle cut fries were great and the tarter sauce was also delicious. The fry sauce tasted too much like ketchup and was discarded immediately. It should also be noted that whoever Harold is, he must adore fries. A small was bigger than the large at many places. Other things worth noting from the other order in the car was that this place has some fabulous bacon and some disgusting tots. Stale as can be and not worth a second bite. 2/5

The burgers and fries were pretty decent. Overall a okay place but not somewhere worth a foodie trip.

Go get a burger at Harold's! Friendly, timely and well worth it- made with real beef, not Pattie's! Fry sauce is awesome!

Great value. Staff really cares and shines. Worth the little trip off the main drag, but outdoor seating was clean and food was good.

My boyfriend and I have been here once but only to check it out as we were coming up from Oregon…read more We have visited the Olympia location and have done trivia, ordered food and drinks and hung out at the location. We wanted to participate in the video game trivia that was hosted at the Centralia one and we decided to stop by 30ish minutes before they started at 7 which they did start on the dot. When you arrive, you go through the restaurant first and you are able to seat yourselves then wait until a server notices to drop off menus and take your order. The menu can be a bit confusing as they have some drink items on the regular menu and a secret menu and limited menu with food or dessert on the drink menu. It took a little bit to get noticed but we got a Hogwash potion and a Yoshi's Island for drinks as we had just had dinner elsewhere as the food prices here a bit much and not worth price but their video game or other nerdy themed drinks which some can be mocktails are fantastic. My boyfriend's Hogwash potion didn't take long and it was cool to see it opened with vapors coming out. My drink took much more time but it felt like it was more ice than anything as I felt like I had maybe four sips before it was all good. The trivia was great but they were having mic issues but it was also just hard to hear the host as we were sitting on the opposite end of where the host was. There are TVs that have the questions so that was very helpful. The service here is friendly but it would have been nice to be checked on more as I wanted to order another drink but their loss, I suppose. My boyfriend and I ended up getting first place but I'm also a little sad cause I didn't see a way to get points for our order today as I know they have a Toast reward system.

Spent the day browsing antique shops in Centralia and was looking for a place to get a bite to eat…read more This place came as a recommendation from one of the local shops. Being arcade it had a fun lively atmosphere. There's quite a few different menu options. We decided on a stuffed caramelized onion and provolone burger and a side of onion rings. It was really good. We chose a side of fries to go with the burger, as you get to choose one side and we ordered the onion rings separately. I'm not trying to be petty but when you order both fries and onion rings and you're asked if you want any sauce to go with it I don't think you should be charged. They both should come with at least 1 sauce per side. The cocktail menu looked really good with fun signature cocktails. The place was clean and friendly staff. Will come back.

I had the Pesto Caprese pizza and it was amazing! The balsamic glaze added just the right amount of sweetness to bring together the different flavors. My husband had the NY steak and said it was delicious and cooked to perfection. Our server was very attentive and told us how all the ingredients were locally sourced, which is very good to hear because we like to support local businesses. Lastly, the building is quite beautiful with the exposed brick interior walls. I'm not familiar with the local history so I'm curious as to what this building was originally? We will definitely come back and also check out the market next time.

So Bad It Was Almost Comical…read more My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our drive from Oregon to Seattle. The parking lot was completely full, so after circling around and eventually finding street parking, we figured the place must be popular. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the high point of the experience. The main restaurant was fairly full, so we were seated in a large, dark bar area in the back. And then... nothing happened. For more than 30 minutes. Eventually, a waiter appeared and took our order. Then another 30+ minutes passed before the food arrived. Somehow, even our iced tea didn't make it to the table until the food did. All told, we spent roughly an hour sitting at an empty table without so much as a beverage, and about 90 minutes from the time we arrived until we actually had food in front of us. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices. By the end, we weren't even angry. The whole thing had crossed over into comedy. Needless to say, on future drives between Oregon and Seattle, we'll be finding a different midway lunch stop.
