I've ordered through DoorDash 5-6 times and been to this location one time. The service is pretty quick and they cook your food hot and fresh. I like the inside of this restaurant, it's pretty spacious & cozy. It's well put together with some nice art work. There's a bar area for you to order some drinks. What I find when ordering from this place is inconsistency. Sometimes my chicken is cooked too much which makes it dry, but for the most part it's very good. Good crunch on the outside and they aren't missing any seasoning on the meat itself. Same thing goes for the fried catfish. I'm not a fan of them cutting the fish too thin. So when I'm bitting into it all I get is the batter. Last time I ordered through them, the fish came out just right. Nice coating with lots of seasoning and the fish itself was thicker and cooked to perfection. What I'm not a fan of is them not making their tartar sauce in-house but if you're giving something from the bottle I guess Krafts tartar sauce ain't that bad. Every time I come here, the chicken and shrimp are delicious. The wings and shrimp are a great size, but the coleslaw portion is pretty small (like sample size small really itty bitty). I'm not a big fan of coleslaw anyway, so I usually substitute it for extra fries. The service is cool, and the food is cooked to order, so it's always hot and fresh. The chicken and fish were absolutely fresh and delicious. I don't really like fried fish because so many places either use too much or not enough seasoning, but Harold's prepared just right for my picky fast buds. Service was also amazing. I arrived towards the end of the night but the server / manager and the bartender served me and explained the menu as if it was during their lunch shift. And many of us know going to a restaurant when they're about to close cause sometimes be stressful for both the staff and the patron. So it was good to be able to experience the menu, but not add any extra stress onto the staff to prepare the food. About the ambience, because I arrived when they're preparing to close I didn't get a chance to really see what the restaurant is like at the peak of the day. I can say that there were multiple tables for dining, bar seating if you're interested in that, and even a little area for dancing if there's ever a DJ present. I'll be visiting again read more

I came for a visit with an old friend who once lived in Chicago, and she swears by Harolds chicken wings. Yall know I had to come check it out! This place is fairly new and definitely looks like it! There is an awesome mural on the wall when first entering. Cool looking place for sure. We came in on time for their happy hour margaritas for $5. I ordered their peach margarita. Mediocre.. nothing special. I did like the fact it wasn't too sweet. The young lady who assisted was very nice and attentive. I ordered their Philly egg rolls for starters along with their small catfish and 4 wing combo. I have to say, I didn't have the heart to tell my friend it really wasn't the best wings or fried fish I've had. Not even close. Everything down to the fish that was bland to the mushy crinkle fries just didn't hit. Even their mild sauce was off. My friend loved the Oreos. Everything else---ALL OVER SEASONED!! Even the fried pickles, they literally tasted like they were dipped in salt laced with flour and fried in old fish grease. The chicken and seafood looked wonderful, but it all tasted salty. My friend tasted on bite of everything and each time she said it was too much seasoning. Her tastebuds are a little sensitive, so I thought, it wldve been seasoned just right for me. TUH!!!! I almost cried when I bit into my chicken. I had this place bookmarked to try out and I made time to go. I had their 6 wing meal which came with fries and coleslaw. The wings were fried very much to my liking. They weren't so hard fried which I enjoyed. The fries were crinkle type and were somewhat soft which are also to my liking. The coleslaw was another story. They were nit a full serving? As a Chicago native, I've never experienced such ignorance at a restaurant before. What kind of management asks parents of an autistic child what the noise is, simply because the child is stimming? Your management needs urgent education on diversity, inclusion, and how to treat all customers with respect. I ordered wings, catfish and shrimp. Everything had the look and presentation of what I am used to seeing from Harold's in Chicago. They also threw in their signature mild sauce which also had the same taste I remembered. Wings - The wings were really good. Same batter, same seasoning and what tasted like the same ingredients. The French fries that came with it also were very familiar. Tasty, crispy and fresh. Seafood - Shrimp and catfish were unfortunately more on the gamy side. That is a hard pass for me so I didn't finish. It was still cooked perfectly and for folks who don't mind a gamy taste, you should like it. I don't do shrimp from other countries. And that's what they gave. My husband ordered the chicken strip combo. The strips are straight from the freezer. I'm upset about that. We spent $35 (no drinks) for cafeteria strips. You can't hold yourself out as a "chicken" place and serve frozen strips! Why can't y'all batter and fry chicken breast tenders instead of frozen food?
