My wife and I went there tonight for my birthday, and I was excited to be there until the food came to the table. I was eating my salad and a big long hair in my salad, and I ordered the Corn on the cob, which is an upcharge, and it was ice cold. I figured they kept them in the refrigerator and warmed them up when someone ordered it, and they forgot to warm mine up. I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye and wanted it "Medium" and it was Medium Rare. Something has changed here. The waitresses hustle and are attentive checking if we needed something. My hubby and I ordered rib eye. Mine well done hubby's medium. Both steaks were running with blood upon cutting. Mine brown to red and hubby's bright red with moderate bright red blood. My steak was not hot hubby's ice cold. Baked potatoes were cold also. We visited The Longhorn in Gadsden, Al on April 11. Me and my companion had dinner. We chose the Lamb chops that were cooked to perfection and served with friendly service. Our meal came out in a sufficient time. The manager of that restaurant came out to check on us and others to make sure everything was ok. Despite a big crowd and 50% capacity, Longhorn did a great job serving my fiancé and me dinner on Saturday night. The steaks - the Longhorn and the big ribeye - were amazing. Salads were cold and fresh and perfect. We sat at the bar near the kitchen and the manager in the kitchen got absolutely livid with someone and just hollered at them. It hurt - we could hear every word and I felt so bad for that person. The guys at the bar who were serving us rocked - SUPER friendly and attentive. I absolutely loved being there. We got the caramel apple pie with ice cream for dessert and like everything else, it was amazing. Oh we'll be back! Can not wait!! read more

Longhornes in gadsden ALWAYS delivers . It's a very nice experience. I prefer locally owned businesses and even though this is a national chain they always deliver. For one the owner seems to always be there doing whatever needs to be done. Then you have the staff that seems to be very consistent. I see some of the staff is still there from the day they opened. The owner checks on people to make sure they have everything they need and that it was all cooked properly. Longhornes has been and will continue to be a favorite of mine. read more

Visited this location for lunch after shopping at the mall. Our order consisted of a 6oz Flo's filet with broccoli and sweet potato, Salmon with broccoli and rice, and the farm fresh salad with salmon- Steak was over done... Salmon meal was over cooked and the salmon on the salad was way undercooked... We kept the steak and Salmon meal (hubby and daughter's meals) and sent the salad back... by the time the salad came back out, other meals were devoured. The manager (I assume that is who she was) told us Salmon is always cooked as medium.. I have never eaten salmon that was still a bit shiny and undercooked inside. I live Longhorn and would probably visit again but will make sure to tell them I want my Salmon cooked! Would recommend that the restaurant make it STANDARD to cook Salmon thoroughly and advise anything else should be requested... add a note to the menu if needed. read more

The service was horrible and the wait staff was rude. To begin with; the hostess sat us at a table which hadn't been cleaned, and the previous customer's check was still on the table. This also happened to be the worse table in the restaurant as it was located near the door. Before being seated I asked the hostess if they had WiFi, to which he acted oblivious, before responding "No.". Upon being seated and noticing the table hadn't been cleaned and the previous patron's check was still on the table I stopped the hostess as he was heading away and told him "Here is the check for the previous customer.". Waited at least 45 min to sit when we were told 15-20 originally. Then order all food & a bottle of wine when we first ordered. They bring us the wrong bottle of wine (moscato instead of Pinot Grigio) to begin with. I ordered the Brussels sprouts with my steak, then she comes back probably 5-7 minutes later & tells me they're out of them. Then we wait at least 30-40 minutes for our food & when they finally bring it out my husband's filet comes out well-done (ordered medium) without asparagus at which time they tell us they r out of asparagus. We got to the restaurant and was seated with in 10 minutes. That is where the wheels fell of. It then took 10 minutes to see a server. We were ready to order but the server only would take our drink order. Another 15 minutes went by before the server brought our drinks. We final got to order. Then it took 20 minutes to get our salads. We had 3 couples so I can give a few extra minutes of time for that but this was getting a bit ridiculous. We then had another 20 minutes wait for our meals. After talking to a manager the food came out about 2 minutes after. We had somewhere to be and it was a good thing we gave ourselves plenty of time to get to the concert we were going to. We had been seeing other servers coming and going with food. We barely ever saw ours. When we got our bills they were all messed. We just paid them and left. The manager really did not satisfy us either. It was like the manager was oh well, sorry. First time to visit this new location today and it is a beautifully done dining room with what you would expect to see at a steakhouse. Very western decor tastefully done complete with a large steer over the bar! Very busy with a large crowd for a lunch day but this location is new to gadsden and everyone here is starved for a new place to eat. I noticed the amount of people waiting for a table and also that several tables were empty in the dining room and not being seated. Not sure what that was about but my friend and I chose to sit at the bar as those are first come. April greeted us immediately with a smile and asked what we wanted to drink. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. On her recommendation I chose the Longhorn bbq burger and my friend had a tbone. Wait time for lunch was longer than we expected and had I needed to be somewhere I might've been in trouble! So keep in mind if you only have an hour for lunch you might want to wait till the kitchen gets a little faster or you'll be eating it in the car back to the office. The burger was right on and cooked beautifully with hot, seasoned fries! My friends steak he said was done to perfection and had a great flavor! The bread they bring out to you is tasty and the butter tastes like real cream butter. The music is not too loud that I can still have a conversation and not yell. If I was on a date the dining room is intimate enough I think that it would be a good place to take the wife. The burger was a great value and I feel like I got my money's worth. Onion went here Saturday we arrived at 4-10 and told it would be 20 minutes it took 55 minutes . We thought we were never going to get someone to our table. We ordered a texastonion . We got a salad first, had to ask for bread again, and when we got it, hard as can be, we ask wherep the onion was he brought us a thick slice of raw onion. I said no our tonion. We got it finally after the salad and bread. Finally our steaks come after we just got the tonion. One of our steaks was just tasteless. We ask for a go box . Bad service bad food. Curbside pickup is a joke. They have 3 designated curbside pickup parking spots. My food was ordered at 4pm to pickup at 5pm on a Saturday. I arrived at 5pm and checked in on their website. Well first problem, all 3 parking spots were taken with others waiting for their food. So I parked in the unofficial spot "5". 5:15pm still nothing. I checked the app/website and it said it was already picked up? I called them once and got denied. This is my second time here. The first time the waitress was very good. However, she mentioned they were having staffing issues with the holidays upcoming. Tonight I come and order the Longhorn Chili with a side salad. The waiter appeared high and out of it. He asked if we wanted bread and we said yes. He brought my husband's side salad but not mine. He brought my chili but no salad. He returned to fill my husband's tea glass, and I asked about my salad. He said that he rung it up as an entree and would change the order. Very quickly he returned with it and my husband's steak. He told my husband to check his steak before he would ask if he wanted any sauce. My husband has five bites left on his plate as I'm typing this and the waiter has not returned. We still do not have any bread from the beginning. I don't know that we will be back since it does seem they have staffing issues. Especially if they are high on something! He never came to check on us at any point. The food was good though. My husband and I ate here for the first time a few nights back. It was amazing!! We went fairly early on a Wednesday so it wasn't busy at all. & We got our food pretty quickly. We had fried pickles for an appetizer and they were delicious! We both got the flat iron steak. It was perfectly cooked and we couldn't get enough! My husband also got the Mac n cheese for a side and he kept saying how great it was also. We both agreed it was the best steak we'd ever had.
