They have Dr Browns soft drinks and all the flavors! The matzoball soup is amazing def 9 out of 10. The sandwiches are top notch. The meat is super fresh and the rye bread is fresh and perfect. And you can get them to grill whatever you order right in front of you. To top it all of the atmosphere is an experience. Like walking into a NY deli in the 70s. I highly recommend to anyone in the area. And worth the trip if you are not from the area.

The inside has an old-school diner vibe, which could be charming, but the overall experience didn't quite match. Staff interaction was neutral--not unfriendly, but not particularly welcoming either. My husband ordered the Lynne sandwich and I had the Adele, along with a bowl of matzo ball soup. The soup was definitely the highlight--flavorful and comforting--but at nearly $9 for a bowl, it felt overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately, the sandwiches didn't live up to expectations. The meat was piled in the center of the bread, leaving the ends with little to nothing in each bite, which made them feel poorly constructed and just overall mediocre. We were also surprised by the number of upcharges--extra for toasting the bread, extra for grilling, and even a 3% fee for using a credit card. It all adds up quickly. For two sandwiches and a shared soup, our total came to just over $40, which felt steep given the quality. It's disappointing because we wanted to like this place, but the high prices just didn't align with the food or experience. Unfortunately, we'll likely be crossing Uncle Harry's off our list.

It has a cute, classic diner feel--nothing recently updated, but it was clean and comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. We brought our three young kids and ordered them each a kids meal: chicken tenders with fries, spaghetti, and a cheeseburger with fries. The portions were generous and we even had leftovers, but at $10 per kids meal, the pricing felt pretty steep. We started with the bread basket and pickles, which were both good. My husband ordered the Monterey Jack chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. He first tried the chicken noodle soup but thought it had a sour aftertaste, so he switched to the beef barley, which unfortunately wasn't much better. His chicken entrée had good flavor, but it was just one thin, butterflied chicken breast. I ordered the New Yorker with fries, which I enjoyed--it was solid and satisfying. When the bill came to around $80, it just didn't feel justified for a deli/diner-style meal. Overall, the food was okay, but the pricing felt high for what you get--especially for a family outing. I might stop in again solo for a sandwich, but we likely won't be bringing the whole family back, mainly due to the cost of the kids meals.

Order a Soup and salad with the Midtown salad and chili cabbage, NY style Turkey Rueben and baby Greek with feta on the side and small GF chicken tenders with bbq and honey mustard sauce, bumpy cake. $65.19 The Greek salad is so-so, made with iceberg. It's not special. The chili cabbage was good, good broth for the soup. The midtown is packed and topped with bacon. The turkey Rueben is meh, quite bland. The onion rings are quite good. The batter is light and airy. The Russian dressing is quite bland. The slaw isn't enough to give the turkey Rueben sandwich taste or feel. The GF chicken tender looks like panko, it's crunchy and the meat is tender and not dry at all. The honey mustard sauce is too bad, he's BBQ too. The complimentary pickles are decent, not crunchy though. Service is good. Food quantity is quite generous here. The onion rings and the chili soup are both good. Bumpy cake was cut into row halves, that was thoughtful, it was quite good.

I was a bit annoyed by the people standing in front of the counter as if that was going to get them called faster. I had to go down the aisle to talk to the lady when my number was called because some dude wouldn't budge. (Not the fault of the business of course). The staff was so nice and gave me suggestions on what to try. The service was excellent. For sandwiches, we tried the Italian and prosciutto. The meats were really good. Unfortunately, the oil and herbs wasn't on my husband's sub, and I think they accidentally put mild peppers instead of hot. 3/5 I learned you come here for the baked goods!!!! I tried the tiramisu, cannoli, and got an old fashioned donut for my hubs. I had a harm time choosing what delectable sweet to take home. The tiramisu was stellar. 5/5 I wish the front had a little less wine and a seating area to have a donut and coffee. It's not that kind of place to sit down and have an espresso, but still a very cool spot. They have an online order option which I'll try next time.
