Had 1 pistachio diamond baklava with honey, one pistachio rolled baklava, 1 pistachio circle baklava and one raspberry butter cookie dipped in chocolate and pistachios. The tea is a Lipton, average tea. It's black tea, looks like coffee. It's average. The round pistachio wasn't bad, the pistachio roll wasn't bad. This place is located in a shipping center with plenty of parking, but that's not the selling point. The desserts and sweets here are off-the-wall good! This place was awful. The 2 crepes that we ordered were made differently from the same guy. One crepe was super hard. They didn't have bananas or whip cream for the crepes. NO WHIP CREAM!!!' They were drenched in chocolate syrup. Why advertise crepes if you don't have all the ingredients as shown on your menu. $15 for a nasty crepe. The cakes were hard and stale, nothing special about the cakes. I ordered a cappuccino, it was awful. It tasted like hot water. My friends stated that their hot drinks were also disgusting. We trashed everything we ordered. All three of spent $20 each. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Went there after dinner. It is a well kept place ornate with comfy couches, very clean and tidy. Along the windows you can see a lot of tradional bakeries and sweets from Iraq. You see knafeh and rolled pastries topped with nuts of all sorts. The waitstaff is nice as well, even though it was a busy day. We ordered ice cream, some tradional sweets and French pastries. I would reccomend the knafeh it was really well done. The French pastries were nothing mind blowing but just ok. Your at a Iraqi bakery get the tradional food, it's what there known for! As for the ice cream there were some unique flavors like apricot and pistachio would of liked to see more tradional flavors. Overall a good place to relax and grab some tradional sweets. Decided to try this bakery while I was in the area as I live on the west side about an hour away. I was very excited when I called to ask if they offered tulumba (my Albanian husband loves this) and the woman said it would be fresh and hot in about 15 minutes. I arrived just as they were ready so I ordered a tray of about 8 pieces. These were good, just different than expected as they were firm with less syrup than other softer versions. The baklava assorted tray was $20 and offered a good variety of flavors. The reason for the 3 star review is the cake. The cakes look beautiful in the case and are a great price for the look of the cake. However, where it goes downhill is the flavor of the cake. Given as a gift to my father in law for his birthday, I was so embarrassed when he took his first bite and said it's horrible. The cake was so dry it couldn't be eaten without a drink to wash it down. There was no flavor in the Nutella frosting and filling that the worker claimed the cake was. My father in law ended up eating a Meijer cake that his wife bought him instead and it was much tastier. Such a shame! I expected a lot better from this cake and would love to try again if they can step up their game to other bakeries when it comes to flavor and taste. read more

This place used to be fire and then Farhat sweets opened up. I still have them my business twice since Farhat opened, both times I wished I went to Farhat because the baklava was stale the ice cream was bland and I was very disappointed. I even called and complained the manager was super nice and even gave me a credit and that's how I went back the second time. Sad to say going back with a credit you would think you would get better baklava and that was not the case. Farhat for life now. Their assortment of bakalavas are the best, and they make the best knafa in the east side hands down. Is there really anything bad you could say about this place? They have so many options from ice cream, cakes, other desserts and illy coffee to name some of the options. Their cakes are rather pricey however large in size. I ordered the vanilla and pistachio cake for my fathers birthday with candles that cost almost $50. I lived in Detroit for years and would regularly go to Dearborn to eat. I found the well known sweets shops over there and fell in love. One day, I moved from Detroit to an eastern suburb. I would crave those sweet shops and drive alllll the way over to Dearborn just to eat. One day I happened to pass the plaza that Palm is in, and I smelled food in the air. I ate at a restaurant right next door and while leaving I saw palm and had to go in. I was shocked, it was just like the place I had found in dearborn, just as packed with people, and the sweets were just as amazing too. I've been back to palm countless times now. I always get the same thing, orange kanafeh, kashta ice cream, and qamar al din ice cream. I had never had either of these flavors before coming here. They are now my favorite ice creams of all time. Where do I start with this Bakery/Ice Cream/Cafe/Everything all in one sweets stop shop. It's right next to Ishtar Restaurant (our favorite). However, Palm Sweets we visit more often for our sweet cravings. Customer service is top notch. I have been here on multiple occasions and they have always been consistent with their warmth welcome and customer service. The variety of sweets is endless. The baklava is always fresh as they are always busy. Inside the place is very well decorated but we always prefer to sit outside in the court yard. It's a beautiful open space with a water fountain in the center, very relaxing and enjoyable ambiance. The bathroom are gender oriented, one for males and one for females. They have been clean every time I visit and that's a very important detail when I enter a location of food consumption I also love that there is a glass partition between the all their sweets and the customers. Everything is to die for as far as taste goes. The ice cream area has the most exquisite collection of ice cream flavors. From kamar eldin (apricot), kashta, and Nutella among many others. You can request crepes instead of cones for the ice cream. The bubble waffle is made fresh upon order. They add fruits (strawberries/banana or blueberries) at the bottom of the cup fold the bubble waffle, stuff with ice cream of choice, and drench with chocolate on top, an absolutely delight. Also they can pre-package the Baklava for shipping if sending for someone out of town. They do an amazing job with the bubble wrap to prevent Baklava from breaking during shipping process. read more
