During numerous email discussions, Kara made excuses for every issue we raised and essentially blamed us for the shortcomings of our wedding planner. Because of that, I cannot recommend Aloha Wedding Planning Services. Although Veronica, our planner, was lovely and personable, the service we received on our wedding day did not reflect a 5-star experience. Given that we paid $4,000, I expected much higher quality. If the cost had been lower, I can confidently say I would not have been as upset by the small details that didn't go perfectly.

However when it came time closer to our wedding they were definitely very involved in trying to get all details lined up. I had some anxiety with the wedding and whole planning process especially with the weather conditions but there was consistent and constant communication leading up and their advice and suggestions/expertise really helped in making decisions. The day itself was difficult as it was really downpouring right up until the ceremony began but seeing the staff and Cindy and Jessica work so hard for all things to come together was really wonderful and you can tell they really worked hard to make everything come together. Planning a destination is not easy at all and as much of a difficulty it is making decisions, having this team really made it so much easier and you can feel like you can leave it up to them to get everything completed. There were a few hiccups with some items of course that you can expect with all weddings for sure but it was still such an amazing and easy experience that you don't even care about the things that didn't go fully right and just remember the amazing time and the whole wedding that it didn't feel there were any regrets at all. As crazy as it sounds, our wedding venue actually canceled on us just over 2 weeks before our wedding date after a year of planning! Kim was on it though, and was able to help us plan a new wedding in just two weeks! She scrambled and worked diligently to do everything she could, to help us still move forward with our wedding, keep and support all our local vendors (14 different local vendors), and most importantly, keep our same wedding date. Kim handled all the hard discussions with our vendors with relocating and all the adjustments with our guests, so flawlessly! She always listened to our needs and plans but also offered suggestions and advice that we did not think of or considered.  She has many contacts throughout the island and is very trustworthy.  She shared documents, kept us on track with planning, and she was an absolute life saver the day of the wedding.  Her colleague, Nathan, came through in the clutch for us as well on our wedding day with lots of extra setup and arrangements that we added last minute.   They made everything easy for us and worry-free even after the wedding when we were exhausted! It also can be hard to find--my taxi driver from airport and Uber driver both drove by it the first time (it is not well-marked). It is in a beautiful area and kind of takes you back in time on Maui which is very nice. When you pull in, you will find a spot on the right--and then to get to the office you will cross back over the front and a big deck to the left. I knew I was going to be late and called so that they would leave a key for me. When you walk in there is a beautiful open area that extends to the place where breakfast is eaten. Unlike traditional inns or B&Bs they do have breakfast, but there is some law that prevents them from serving hot food. Instead, you get some delicious fresh fruit, cereal, and some really tasty danishes. The proprietors are really nice people. There are a few rooms. I think mine was the smallest (the Maui room). It was fine for me traveling alone, however if there are a couple of people I would make sure to confirm you have a bigger room. One difficult point for some is that there is no air conditioning. This part of the island does seem cooler and since it rained a couple nights I was comfortable, but think for some that might be an issue. Finally, as noted in some of the rules be aware of the booking restrictions, if you book through sites you will be given a four day minimum.
