Harr Toyota Repair service department if I can give you a zero I would one star is too good for you ! Extremely frustrated with them. My car was involved in a hit-and-run accident end it was towed to Harr Toyota for repairs. The tow truck driver asked Where to leave the car He was told basically to put it right outside the service department door to the left and that's exactly what he did . So my insurance company adjuster calls Harr Toyota and they say they don't have my car so for two days my car is missing even though it's parked right outside the service department door . Harr Toyota service can't find my car ! So now I'm ready to call the police and all of a sudden Harr Toyota finds my car in the exact spot it was left Outside the service department door. Then I'm told I can get a loaner car and now all of a sudden the service manager is saying no . Mind you that the repair bill for this car is over $7000 . Is this what they advertise as Harr Toyota pride ? They are dropping the ball big-time ! I tried contacting them for 4 days trying to find out the status of my repairs mind you I left numerous messages voicemails Messages with the front desk no one returned the call for four days ! Four days without a return phone call ! Is this What they mean by Harr Toyota pride and service . They've already had my car for two weeks God knows how much longer it's gonna take. I recently bought a 2006 Toyota Rav 4 and it was mostly fine. They sent me home with a full tank of gas and gave me a free pass to get a few carwashes as well as the next three oil changes. The staff was also very friendly. Here are the negatives: the sales associate did not tell me I was only getting one key until after I bought the car, and then they said it would be over $200 for me to get a spare. They told me I had a 60 day warranty, so I took it back in about a month later when the AC stopped working. Turned out it needed a new AC fan motor, and I was told I had to pay a $100 deductible because I didn't have an "extended warranty." I don't see why I should have to pay a dime to get something like that fixed if it broke down a month after I bought the car. That being said I am not 100% satisfied with their service, but I would go back there for my next car. read more

OMG, after I wrote the last review I had a real problem with them. While I was getting my service done, the service advisor came to me and advised me that I would very soon need brakes to the tune of $600. I brought it to a local shop that I trust, and they said that not only are the brakes only half worn but they could do it for under 400 with equal or better parts. I'm starting to feel now like the relatively low price for the oil changes are just a trick to get you in the door so that they can try to rake you over the coals for some additional service that may or may not be actually needed. Up-to-date, my warranty issue has finally been resolved on one note. However, I am now paying for an extended warranty out-of-pocket, separate from my monthly car payment (Harr has made my struggle real). What I did not mention in my first review is that I had to pay an additional $2500 to have the vehicle certified. The brakes are no good but passed inspection because Harr did the inspection. I paid Harr approx $300 to install a car starter. Whenever I open my car door, the car turns off. When I questioned this, I was told that it's a safety mechanism.???? You can not drive off without the key in the vehicle and the door will not open unless the person has a key. So what's the safety mechanism??? I called to address this matter and had gotten nowhere. I've really been duped by my local car dealership. So hurtful!!!! read more

I am actually pretty shocked at some of the reviews, and will chock it up to the simple fact that many people are so impulsive and excited about buying a new car, they do not ask the important questions before taking on such a responsibility and investment. I was recommended to them by a friend who bought a car from them so I thought I'd do in before buying at the first place I went. I went in with my information, my budget in mind, the features, mileage, warranty, and service plans, etc that I expected. I let them know all of these things and waited for the credit approvals. The entire time they ran back and forth to make the numbers work for us no matter what it took, they offered us popcorn, coffee, things for my son to play with, juice boxes, put cartoons on for him, played and interacted with him. They showed us the service area, informed us of the lifetime free car washes, year of maintenance, the lunch they will get from Panera bread while your waiting for service, etc. etc. etc. We realized that with our budget, the SUV we preferred was out of the question and were patient. We ended up getting a car instead with the exact payment and warranty we wanted. In the end the deal I got was this: 2017 Toyota Corolla LE with 18,000 miles 7 year/100,000 mile bumber to bumber warranty 5 year paint and fabric protection, no matter the fault or extent Free car washes for life Maintenance for one year Maintenance does not have to be done at dealership to keep warranty intact, just has to be done. I received 1,000 for trade in on my car They had everything ready for me so quickly, I only have to go pay the rest of my cash down payment tomorrow and pick up the car. I was not ready that day as I did not expect to get approved honestly, however, even after a bankruptcy, which was discharged JUST 5 days prior to me applying, they got me approved at the payment I wanted. The receptionist, insurance people from All State, the sales guys, they were all great. I'm looking forward to even going in for my first free maintenance to visit, so again, I have no clue about these bad reviews because I'm telling all my friends to go here!! read more

I'm not a big fan of their system. By automating and systematizing as many redundant and repetitive processes as possible, they have very much created a 21st-Century car buying and repair experience. However, I feel this has come at the expense of the traditional, personalized customer service experience. The last few times I've been to Harr, I've found that communication between departments is not the greatest, and full of blame-game. Statements made to you by one employee in one department that makes commitments of other departments (i.e. "we'll get your car to the body shop so they can look at it first thing) aren't reliable, as are promises that people will call you and keep you informed. One result of the systematized process is that it's hard to find knowledge. I know about cars, so when I'm told that something isn't repairable and needs to be replaced, the person who tells me that should be able to answer basic mechanical questions as to why. I've dealt with Harr for repairs, and I've shopped for cars on their lot. In all my experience, I find that people there simply don't listen to the customer. There seems to be this pervasive attitude that they know best for you, and that they're doing you a favor. The biggest challenge with automation is making sure your customers don't become just another number in a system. read more

Awesome....! Before I get to my review I have to say, I don't understand these negative comments about this dealership. First of all, if you don't understand that buying a car (new or used) can sometimes be a pain in the ass, then grow a set, swallow your maturity pills, and suck it up. You're talking about a 20, 30, $40K or more purchase. This is not buying Equate lip gloss at Wal-mart. It's the 2nd biggest purchase in your life. Have you people every bought a house? Talk about a freakin' headache. Check yourself into Reality Hotel for a week and use the pool. This is a wonderful dealership hands down. To set the stage I need to ask....Do you have that friend or relative that is so picky, it makes you want to slap them in the face? Well that's me. Being OCD is my hobby, and I don't put up with BS or having my time wasted. If you need lessons on making everyone around you roll their eyes, then sign up for my class. They call me Professor "What the F*** is wrong with You?" Not only was my wife and I treated with respect at this dealership, they were extremely nice and actually interested in making sure our needs were met. We had a budget range and a list of must have options for our new RAV4 lease, our 2nd one from Harr Toyota. Our sales person Nana, was incredibly knowledgeable on all the current Toyota products, including models of years past. He took his time with us, showed us a few vehicles and found us one we loved. Danielle in finance was flexible with the terms. She understood our money situation and our concerns. Did we go back and forth a few times to get the deal right? Of course we did. That's the process. My wife and I even left to finish our errands that day and ended up at two other dealerships. One being a Ford (to look at an Escape), the other another Toyota dealership. They couldn't come close to what Harr was offering. Danielle also called us back 2 hours later, to let us know that our return lease was valued higher than she first thought (something she had to take time to research) which sweetened our lease price more. Nana and Danielle got us into the RAV we wanted for a fantastic price. After the sale they made sure the plates and registration were taken care of, and sent the info to my insurance broker/provider the same day (on a Sunday) to make sure we were covered. All in all this was a great transaction and I would not lease another Toyota without going to Harr first, and most likely last. Get your next car from Harr, and understand that the purchase is a process. You as a customer need to be patient and work with the dealership (this one or anyone for that matter), just like they are patient and willing to work with you. A side note... Our first lease was for 3 years. Every time my wife brought our first RAV in for service, she was met with a friendly service agent and the work was done right and on time. They also have free treats from Panera while your wait in the very comfortable sitting area. Two months after that original lease, I took it in to have the auto start installed. There was some confusion as to what tech was installing and what day it was scheduled. The schedule issue was partly my fault, for not calling back to confirm. But they took it into the service bay is short time, and had me out of there in about 90 minutes. 5 Stars for that...! Their service Dept is excellent. read more

"Perfect pricing" is a scam, you can absolutely find better prices elsewhere. The parking lot is an absolute mess, you'd think the city would cite them for failing to keep up maintenance or safety. Something has been going on here lately with quality control. Did they change management or staff? I bought a car in 2015 and haven't had any issues until this year. In March I had sway bar links replaced and as I drove home, I noticed a clunking noise. Guess what it was? A tool had remained attached to the car. OK everyone makes mistakes, this isn't a biggie right? I took the car in two weeks ago (first time since March) and everything seems fine after repair. I drive it again two days later and notice this little box with a green light under the dash. It's a code reader. They forgot it was plugged in. So I have to go out of my way to return it. This is becoming a pattern of behavior. If I return for service, will the next mistake cause a fatal accident? Looking at the rest of the reviews, it seems I'm not the only one experiencing issues lately. 3 stars because they have also always been polite, fixed/repaired issues, and so far haven't killed me. Had an appointment to get an oil change, and after I showed up and checked in they told me it would be an hour and a half...for an oil change. I asked to come back the next day instead and they were very accommodating and set up a new appointment for me. It still took about 45 minutes the next day, but better than an hour and a half. If you're there during breakfast/lunch hours, they will bring you Panera for free, which is great. read more

I will never recommend that anyone I know to Harr Toyota to purchase a vehicle. The whole experience there has been dishonest on their part from sales to service. My husband and I went there in August to purchase a Highlander, first Highlander they promised us we would have that Thursday. There was no way we would have had the vehicle that Thursday which they decided to be honest about after we signed the sales agreement, in fact they didn't even have the title and would have it for weeks later. The second vehicle they offered us after we wouldn't be able to get the first one, however financing never took off the first loan for the first vehicle when they were supposed to so when they did they ran out credit through one credit union which they denied us because of the first Highlander loan and said the bank denied us due to age of vehicle ( the second vehicle was much cheaper than the first- I honestly think they kept the loan on and then tried to process the second loan as we got a copy of the denial in the mail weeks later and age of vehicle was not the reason of denial like they stated, it was due to the first loan size. I think they purposely did that to get us to pick a more expensive vehicle like the first). The third Highlander we got and we love, more than we wanted to spend but we needed a vehicle badly. First month we had the Highlander the brake light went on and realized it was due to break fluid, I thought at first perhaps they never topped it off so I filled it that was in September. End of November the break light went off again and I checked the fluid and it was low again I filled it and because of the holiday never had a chance to book an appointment then I went away for a month so came back beginning of January and reached out to Danielle which was one of three sales people we dealt with. We told her what was going on and she said to make a service appointment on a day that she was there. ( I was only driving on weekends and that was it for the whole time we had it with the whole month of December where it was sitting- we went through a whole bottle of break fluid). We made an appointment with service for our first oil change at the same time as the mileage was close to when it had to be changed and had service check the leak. It took service almost four hours to do an oil change and to tell us that we needed $1,200 in repairs due to the break leak. They said we needed new rear break pads, rotors and calibers because the caliber was leaking and the break fluid contaminated the breaks and rotors and it all had to be replaced. While we were there they called a customer on the phone and said the same thing to them which raised a red flag. Those kind of coincidences do not happen. We ended up bringing it to our mechanic to get a second diagnostic opinion ( our mechanic is ASE certified mechanic and has been for 40 years). In 10 mins our mechanic had our suv off the lift and came back and told us our breaks, rotors and calipers were brand new and didn't need to be replaced. In fact the reason there was a leak to begin with was because when Harr replaced the breaks before we picked it up when we purchased the suv and they never completely tightened the bolt that connects the break line to the caliper. The repair cost of tightening a bolt was $20. Harr had been nothing but deceitful. Trying to scam us out of $1,200 for repairs that didn't even need to be done is extremely shameful on their part. Thinking we were stupid enough to fall for a scam that they obviously are running with multiple customers because they are purposely keeping lines leaking is even worse. We have contacted the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Attorney General Office. We have free oil changes left with Harr that we will never use because we will never allow Harr to touch our vehicle ever again. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM HERE- SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE! read more

Two days ago I went in to Harr for a recall on my leaf springs for my '08 Toyota Tacoma. The leaf springs on the right side were cracked and had cut my brake lines the month before nearly causing an accident. I was never reimbursed for fixing my brake lines which cost me around $100. Yesterday I picked up my truck with a brand new set of leaf springs courtesy of Toyota's safety recall. When I started my engine to leave I hear a noise that I've never heard before coming from the engine. Under the hood I notice a leak in my driver steering fluid line, I have NEVER had to fill it up before because it was always between the max/min line. I filled it hoping that would be the cause of the noise. The noise persisted, and became louder when I accelerated, I called back Toyota and made another appointment for the next morning. I dropped my car off this morning hoping the noise was something minor i.e. a loose belt, screw etc... After a few hours I received a call letting me know that my alternator had to be replaced. They would have to charge me $610. I don't have that kind of money to have it fixed now so I picked up my truck this afternoon and was charged $109 just to have it looked at. When I enter my vehicle I find a note telling me that Harr's inventory is low on Tacoma pick ups and they would like to sell me a new car with lower monthly payments... Now c'mon, my truck has over 87,000 miles and it is common for the alternator to go around 100,000 in any vehicle, but this is just too fishy. I never heard my truck make this noise before and as soon as I pick it up they want to charge me $610 and offer to buy my vehicle in exchange for a newer car with lower monthly payments?! On top of that a worker tried to convince me that I couldn't hear the sound before because the clanking of the leaf springs was too loud... I would have noticed a noise like a vacuum cleaner sucking on HI coming from my engine, even over the clanking of my leaf springs. It is my understanding that I am dealing with crooks. My truck is being serviced by a friend for half the cost now and I will never be using Harr services again. read more

My husband and I picked up our new 2016 Prius today and now that our purchase is complete, allow me to say that the entire process was very smooth - from first contacting the dealership via an electronic form about our interest in purchasing a Prius - all the way to today when we picked the car up. Not only was the process smooth, it was actually enjoyable, thanks to Product Specialist Steve Ribeiro who worked with us from day 1. In short, Steve was very personable, pleasant, and highly knowledgeable - even enthusiastic -about the Prius and the changes that have been made on the 2016 model. When we took the car for a test-drive, he showed us all we needed to know very clearly before we headed out for a drive. Again, today, when we picked the car up, he made sure we understood how to start it (since it's keyless) and didn't have any questions before we left the dealership. He couldn't have been more attentive and focused on our needs. For my husband and me, haggling with a salesperson over a car's price is something we both hate. Fortunately, Harr has 'Perfect Pricing', which means the dealership lowers the price to a competitive one and that's their bottom line. What this also means is that those selling the cars aren't paid by commission. I think the fact that we didn't have to haggle and play that game made our experience with Steve even better. Since we haven't brought the car in for service yet, I didn't feel I could give Harr five stars (at least not yet). So far, though, our experience has been a very good and enjoyable one. Oh, that's right, you have teams now....Well teams of uncaring individuals...especially those guys in the back office who review your credit. Didn't even get to talk to anyone in charge. Had to explain my life and credit info to inexperienced young man that took my information and kept running back and forth with papers . Maybe that guy should take his feet off his desk and act professional. I should have know this when I first walked in and was ignored. They even made me walk to the main showroom in the rain to go to the bathroom (theirs wasn't working) without an apology. Well I now feel like a second class citizen - which I am not! I may have bad credit but I am not a bad person. No one cared to see me in a new car, they could care less. Great customer service and experience. I am posting on Yelp! Happy sales! I once met Mr Ribakoff (the owner) 20 years ago, after a bad experience, who told me that this stuff doesn't happen anymore,,,well it does.. Never go here....unless you have to!. read more

As usual always a nice experience when I service my Toyota Avalon at Harr Toyota. My car was delivered back in time and all issues where fixed. While waiting I took advantage of the comfortable clean waiting room. All the staff I dealt with were courteous and efficient. read more
