As the individual was refilling items on the buffet, people were asking numerous questions and he answered every one of them. There appeared to be one server for the entire restaurant and she was very efficient. The salad bar portion of the buffet had plenty of great options & choices. I don't eat a lot so I chose not to take up stomach space with these selections. The "hot" section also had numerous options. I chose the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed corn, sausage, sauerkraut, and cornbread. The turkey was tender and moist. The cornbread was very dry. Those of us waiting for our food shared some stories of our travel adventures so that added to the experience. BJ's Diner is located along the river so on a warmer day this would have been a great place to sit at the picnic tables and enjoy the view. But with the strong winds, I opted to eat in my car as did most of the others. I ordered a cheeseburger and am so glad I didn't do the double cheeseburger option as this was huge. It was delicious and came with many toppings and they let me customize. I also got a side of crinkle fries. I didn't care for the fries as they were mushy and I would have liked more crispiness to them. They were hot so that was a plus as nothing is worse than cold fries. The service was great and efficient here and the prices were reasonable. I will stop here again the next time I am in Cherokee.

My MIL and I both got the Meatloaf sandwich. I got mine on a hoagie bun and my MIL got hers on Texas toast. We both enjoyed our meatloaf sandwiches. Mine was worth going back for another. My MIL also enjoyed half of hers and gave me the other half. The Hoagie bun was definitely the better decision. This is a cheap diner with cheap diner food. The atmosphere is just what it looks like in the pictures and it's exactly what we were looking for. The staff is very friendly. Our waitress tried to sell us some of their homemade desserts, but, unfortunately we already had ingredients and plans for an apple tart, back at the cabin. We will definitely visit this place again, on our next trip.
