    bad server

The server in the picture you see is a very horrible server does not communicate does not check up on us or tells us the status on the food never refills drinks unless we ask. and this is the second time i've came and he was our server twice overall they should fire him and find someone new!!!

After trying several breakfast spots with 1-2 hour waits, we stumbled upon this little place. We were greeted right away and seated with no wait, which was already a great start. Our waitress was attentive, got our drinks quickly, and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. The menu isn't very large, but that usually means better quality and it definitely showed. We started with fried mushrooms, which were amazing. For mains, we ordered chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, gravy, and salad, as well as a club salad with fries. The food came out quickly, tasted fresh, and was overall delicious. The only downside was the fries they were cold, almost like they had been sitting for a bit before coming out. Still, between the service and the rest of the food, we had a great experience and would absolutely go back.

We took a side trip to try out Paul's Family Restaurant. The restaurant was clean and quiet. Our waitress was friendly but she didn't offer to refill our drinks even when we had emptied our glasses. The food was good but not outstanding. There are better options in Cherokee.

First time here. Came on a Sunday around 11:30. We ordered sweet tea and it wasn't that good we added sweet n low. But we like SWEET tea and we ordered the club sandwich with fries and a side of onion rings and we shared. The food was good and the service was excellent. Probably wouldn't go there again though

We saw a TikTok video about this restaurant, we were absolutely blown away by the cheese curds. We had ok service (I'm pretty sure she was new to the industry) . From what we experienced we noticed there were only two servers but that didn't stop them! We noticed that everyone in the restaurant ordered chicken. We ordered burgers they were pretty decent for the price. It is a little hard to get into the parking lot (that's understandable for being at the base of a mountain). We really enjoyed the atmosphere it felt like home I really liked that the TV's weren't on so everyone could enjoy family time. It was also well-lit inside and had a river running under the porch.

AWESOME DINNER AT A FAIR PRICE. We had 2 orders of Mountain Trout, grilled and lightly fried, both were fantastic! BEST DINNER over 3 different restaurants in Cherokee. Came with good hush puppies. Substituted regular fries for onion rings and sweet potato fries - both very good. Previous review denigrated the food, others complained about waiting for a table and/or service - must have been personal problems - because we so no such issues. Very casual & relaxed place so don't expect plush chairs, linen table cloths and napkins, fine china and silverware and tuxedoed waiters. If you want to pay for that crap, then you should go somewhere else. Also, Cherokee IS a tourist town, so expect restaurants to be busy with tourists - especially during peak days, hours, and seasons. If you crave constant personal attention from waitstaff in a busy tourist restaurant in a small tourinst town, then go to the casino and pay 2x the money for dinner. However, if you want excellent food (at least the trout) at a fair price and decent enough atmosphere, then please try Paul's Family Restaurant.

Food was great. Also enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was a little slow but it was due to a new waiter.

I ordered the kids lasagna with asparagus. I mentioned 3 times that I was ordering from the kids menu. Other orders at the table were the mushroom ravioli, grilled salmon, kids Mac and cheese and kids chicken tenders. Great reviews of the ravioli, Mac and cheese and chicken fingers. The salmon came with a medley of vegetables. They were very disappointing. My meal came. A huge plate of lasagna, I said this can not be the kids portion. Waitress looks at me with frustration. Oh, I'll check if it's okay that you ordered from the kids menu, we will adjust the pricing. Two other people at the table looked at her in disbelief, they heard me twice say kids portion/menu. Asparagus wasn't just grilled it was burnt, inedible. The lasagna is amazing. Just disappointed with our waitresses attitude as a whole. But would go back again. More good food than bad!

Wow, GET the lobster and shrimp fettuccini and you won't regret it!…read moreThat "light" cream sauce was on point. It was exactly as I imagined from the pic. Saucy, yet creamy, and the lobster was bursting with flavor. I couldn't have had this as a better dish in many other places. I think the chefs, whoever they were, were on point tonight! This was a Wednesday. For my "dessert" I had an espresso martini. Also excellent. I don't give these good reviews lightly, but this place was on point! You won't regret this dish. I WILL get it again! The only drawback @brio is your bread, it's too hard. I couldn't mop up my sauce and clean my plate if I wanted to, which I did! But I made it work by "soaking" the bread for about ten minutes before finishing it off. Kudos to you guys. If you're lactose intolerant, it's probably worth the price you'll pay

We tried this chef-inspired place for dinner during our stay at the hotel-casino…read more.. The place itself had more of a vibe of a hotel lobby than that of a restaurant....a bit too spread out as well? Also, it was too quiet for such a spacious layout. Definitely needed to crank up the music. That can be said of this entire hotel-casino. Possibly catering to senior's finicky sensibilities, but overhead music is very subdued throughout the hotel-casino...and for me personally, it made the place feel a lot less festive. We also had this wonky table, but our waitress tried her best to fix it. In any case, we ordered the Lobster Lollipop for appetizer, a Caesar Salad, and a BBQ Rack with sides...all to share. Well, I can't complain...all the foods were delish. The flavors were rich and buttery. I would have liked to try one of their entrees, but I just wasn't hungry, so we just ordered 1 entree, 1 salad and 1 app to share. It turned out to be good call...as all the dishes had generous portions. Overall, we liked the restaurant. Frankly, the vibe just wasn't that great. Again, the place felt like a hotel lobby. Still, the food and the service was good, and think we'd both be willing to revisit in the future.
