Had such a cute experience at Harriette's. We stayed about 10 minutes away at a beach resort and decided to have breakfast here on our last day. The place is right off the main road and has plenty of its own parking in a gravel lot behind the building. It's tiny inside but set up very cute, old fashioned with wood wall paneling and a super 80s vibe. The staff are sweet and give it a homey feeling. We arrived at about 2p on a Saturday and there were only 2 other tables being used. Our server was super attentive and the food came out fast. I had the half order of French toast with some sunny side up eggs and cooked ham - delicious. The eggs were so good. They even gave me 3 when i ordered 2 (maybe bc one was overcooked and they knew haha). The ham was delicious. My boyfriend had the breakfast burrito and said it was just ok which is why I'm leaving 4 stars but i really had a nice experience and given the area, i think it's prob some of the best breakfast around. MUFFINS! I would give them 6 Stars if I could! When I read this restaurant had 30 types of muffins, I was more than intrigued! The restaurant itself is quite small and somewhat quirky. I noticed there were many people working for the size of restaurant and they were quick to help me as I began to salivate at the muffin case. I ordered a key lime and a l coconut key lime. WOW! I think they are more like cake than a muffin - very soft and spongy. I found them surprisingly light and ate a whole one when I had planned to eat half. The key lime had a ton of filling. It was VERY tangy, which was just fine with me. The coconut key lime was similar; it had coconut on the top and somewhat less key lime filling. (I don't know if this was by plan or happenstance.) I plan to stop by against n before we leave. I am strongly considering the lychee pineapple and pineapple upside down. I don't think you can go wrong. Please give them a try! We did stop back before we left Key Largo. We had a pineapple upside down and a toasted coconut. Both were great, but my strong suggestion is to start with the key lime. Wow, what a hidden gem. Its like stepping back into 1965 Florida keys. We stopped here on our way back to Miami from Key West. This place was well worth the stop. The atmosphere may steer you away but the food is frigan amazing. The biscuits are huge and fresh, the muffin menu is huge and delicious. The shrimp and grits were a bit fancier than I am used to, included sausage and peppers but very good. The omelets were huge and the biscuits and gravy was very good! Super cozy, no frills diner style, breakfast and brunch restaurant located just off highway one south of Key Largo. Parking is a little tight but turnover seems pretty quick that you should be able to get a spot in no time. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated, and offered a tremendous menu option of breakfast and brunch items. One of their specialties is flavored muffins that come in all flavors with the most famous being Keylime. The muffins are about 4+ inches in diameter and are definitely something that can be shared! Matter fact, all portions were generous, and you will not leave hungry! Pancake order were (4 each) about 8+ inches in diameter! Super reasonable prices and good quality food, served fast, in a friendly manner, make for a great place to stop. We expect to find our way back here during our day in this area. read more

I would say my experience was pleasant my food was good but they charge you .75 for milk in your coffee. I have never been charged to add milk to my coffee. Not everyone likes their coffee black. Put a sign up say creamer is free. Leave something at the table but don't say nothing and then add a charge. For that move I knock them down. read more

This was the WORST breakfast I have ever had. I came because of the rating and reviews, worst decision ever. Maybe if you just want a basic breakfast. I should have left when I saw the biscuits and gravy someone dining was having, so much corn starch looked very bland. I got the crab cake Benedict, disgusting and very very disappointing. Hollandaise is not fresh it is from a box dry product! You don't taste lemon, butter or egg yolk and egg yolk has a strong flavor, next the crab cake frozen product and it is NOT crab it was imitation crab! Do not waste your time and money. I could not even eat half of it. You can also hear the cooks using the microwave it is not very pleasing. My husband got a the protein breakfast with eggs sausage and bacon so it's hard to mess that up. I would never go back and I would not recommend you go. Maybe the muffins are good, maybe that's why they have 4.5 stars but it was very horrible food wise. Service was good though, nice people. read more

Stopped in to pick up some of the famous muffins I read about when planning our trip to the Keys. I was greeted right as I walked in the door and the service for my to-go order was 5 stars! I ordered a coffee and he brought out cream, sugar, a spoon and a napkin for me to make it. He also made recommendations for muffins and had them heated up for me. We had the key lime, guava cream cheese, orange blossom and Oreo. Orange blossom was the winner for my family. Personally, guava was my favorite but the rest of the family was not a fan. Serving breakfast and lunch 6am to 3pm seven day a week, it's an amazing and affordable dining spot. I had a coffee $2.75, Pecan Waffle with blueberries $7.99 and two eggs. It was delicious. Despite being peak breakfast hours and a holiday weekend I was able to be seated right away. Parking was tight so be warned on that front. I was waited on pretty fast and my order was taken just as quickly. It's it pretty stereotypical for a Keys restaurant and it's tight but fun. I'll start with the good. The key lime muffin was absolutely worth it and I can't stress enough that you have to order it when you come. They offer it to go as well. We lucked out with some bar seating on our drive down to Key West and I am SO glad we did ! Our waitress Stephanie was amazing - she was efficient, kind, and personable, and her recommendations were absolutely on point. It's a cozy, packed little diner with a huge and well deserved reputation! Their coffee is actually very good (not just for diner coffee). We started with some muffins - they have a staggering number of flavors available, and Stephanie recommended the guava cream cheese. It was absolutely the right recommendation - we LOVED it. The key lime muffin was great too, but I'm still dreaming about that guava cream cheese. The shrimp and grits were absolutely unreal - they were so beautiful and delicious! The ingredients were all so fresh tasting and flavorful. I genuinely got sad that I didn't have a big enough appetite to finish them, but the leftovers were well worth it.
