Looking for fried chicken well you will usually find some made hours ago or buy a bucket with a piece missing. Today, at the time of this writing, they were actually prepping to make some and this young man seemed eager to work and gave an ETA whereas prior folks come off as you're bothering them by asking if they'll cook any.. Pickup is slow as molasses but this is the convenient place. I think University is better only because I have extremely low expectations for campus has a lot to manage. I visited my beloved HT tonight. The security guard was decked out like he was going to war. Much too much. Sigh. But I looked back at him while shopping as it's usual to see all that mess on a store security guard. He then proceeded to follow me! And then, he appeared next to me while ringing my groceries! This was my very first visit to a Harris Teeter grocery store. This location was in Charlotte. I could tell most people weren't grocery shopping in the early morning today based on the empty parking lot. The store itself was pretty clean. I stop by Harris teeter when I need an item or two. They are expensive and I have come to realize a lot of the dairy items are either out of date or don't have a long shelf life. When I go to other grocery stores their dairy items have a month longer. (Same brands as HT). Harris Teeters produces seems to go bad sooner than others. I needed to pick up a few items so I ventured out to the local Harris Teeter off of Malik Creek, and to my surprise this Harris Teeter was fully stocked, the fruits and vegetables were fresh and it was very clean. Harris Teeter is like Wayfair, it always has just what I need! I often frequent Harris Teeter for nightly meals looking for fresh produce, meats, and the occasional sweat! With 4 locations within a 10 minute drive of one another, they are always open and convenient. This trip I visited seeking fire wood for the pending snow/ice storm Charlotte, NC is expecting; they didn't disappoint! There was plenty of firewood along with a new pallet they recently put out. Not only was I able to find fire wood, I was also able to find Soba noodles (on isle 3) that I haven't been able to find at any other Harris Teeter. Visiting is always a win and the Mallard Creek location is one of my favorites. If I had one suggestion it would be additional coaching with the front end staff. Using the phone while customers are waiting for assistance could prove problematic for some. read more

Harris Teeter is my grocery store of choice but the customer service in the deli of this store is the worse. I stopped to get a sandwich before the 7PM deadline but was told by the only customer in line that they were closed. The worker confirmed clearly before 7. Not hard to see why Teeter is losing customers to stores like Publix. This will definitely be my last trip to this store. read more

Pretty much your standard HT here. This location is convenient to my place of work so I stop in every once in a while to get provisions. It is very easy to get in, but the way the shopping center is located, you either have to weave your way through the business parking lots next door to safely make a left back onto the road, or take your chances at an intersection (with the usual crazy drivers). So the ease of in-and-out makes me rate this HT as a three star. The store is well kept and the employees are pleasant enough. I have not really experienced it, but I hear their lunch subs are decent (for the right $$ too). They've been renovating the store, so every blue moon an aisle would be located, but there is good signage. The last time I was where they were redoing the slate floor in the entrances, but I think that has been completed. read more

Senior 6AM shopping during Covid-19 is nothing more than a PR program for Harris Teeter and a slam on their senior customers. This "special privilege" is scheduled BEFORE they restock shelves. I did this Monday and again today. I find a relatively small number of senior shoppers in the risk age who are not hoarding, simply trying to eat healthy. Bakeries have not yet delivered, meat has not yet been put out into the cases, etc. During the rest of the day the shelves will all be filled and everyone else who is less at risk will find what they need. read more

Clean grocery, but it was hard to find certain items- the aisles need to be organized better. For instance, the peanut butter jars (org and regular) were located near the bread section (weird), which was in the vicinity of the deli section (makes sense). Most groceries I've shopped at (local or in other states), the nut butters were grouped with other breakfast items, such as jellies, jams, coffee, and cereals. I think it's actually cool to have a few jars of nut butters in the bread aisle (for impulse buys or for those who may have forgotten to grab one while at the breakfast section), but to not have any next to the jellies and jams was just strange. The organic produce selection is slightly larger than that of Bi-Lo, but the prices are a little steep. Kudos for having almond butter, even though it's only "all-natural." read more

I live right smack dab in the middle between this Harris Teeter and the one on WT Harris Blvd. I've found there really is no advantage to going to one over the other. This one seems to be a little smaller and is not 24 hours. The fresh market items like the subs, sushi, and doughnuts are all pretty good. Each day they have a sub special where you can get half a sub, chips, and a drink for $5. It's a great deal, especially because the subs are so big that a half is all you need. I think it's a little pricey for items that aren't on sale and don't do the majority of my grocery shopping here for that reason. But it's a good place to stop and pick any odds and ends items that I may need for dinner that night. read more

There are food samples here and there. Items on sale still cost more than regular price at Publix or Food Lion. The checkout lines were slow today. I wonder why they have so many pointless prompts on the self checkout. Why hasn't anyone figured out how to detect debit vs. credit? The store seems small because of how they set the aisles together and cram things around the endcaps. read more

This is a clean grocery store with great customer service. My last visit was specifically for sour cream to make a crab dip. I was able to get in and out in less than 10 minutes. Being an eVic customer, I scored some free pita chips. I recommend becoming one if you aren't already. It takes a few minutes online, but you'll get more offers than a regular HT customer. There are Tesla charging stations in the parking lot if you need it. First time seeing those. read more

We have been going to this store since 2006. The last 2 encounters with the " customer service" manager Steven were horrible and we will be going to Publix from now on. Our first issue with Steven was 2 weeks ago when 2 liter pepsi was on sale for .99 each. We have always stocked up with 10. There was none on the shelves. We asked Steven to check in the back, he refused. Not only that but he only gave us a rain check for 3. We tried to explain that we. Always get 10 but Steven refused. Today, I received an email with a meal deal. We went to the store to get dinner. I went to the customer service counter and asked for the meal deal flyer. They couldn't find it so once again Steven came out and I explained it to him. I showed him the email on my phone. He rolled his eyes and said I would have to print out the coupons listed in the email. I told him there was no way to print them since the site did not work. Steven did not offer any assistance at all. He just said there was nothing he could do and walked away from me. This was very poor service from a customer service MANAGER. We left and went over to Publix where they offer a meal deal and when one of their products didn't ring up to get the meal deal price the CASHIER not a manager took off the $3.50 to make it right and take care of a long time customer. The manager, Nigel, goes out of his way to make your shopping experience pleasant. For the volume of food sold, this grocery store offers a large variety of food and alcoholic beverages. This HT is the closest grocery store from my neighborhood so I stop by more often than I need to. It's located in shopping plaza so you can get one stop shop for all your needs. They even had salad bar and sandwich deli during lunch time which is perfect if you want to get your grocery shopping done during lunch. My daughter loves going to HT because they give her free balloon every time she visit and as everyone knows, they have free cookie for all kids. I even grabbed it once and it was delicious :) They also have great selection for wine and beer. You would be surprised but they even have Indian frozen food which is really good when you are sick. The taste is not as good but it's OK because it's not like you can taste the food when you are sick ;) I usually head to self check out so I have very minimum interaction with their employees however I haven't seen anything out of ordinary. They have NOT one but two red box so you don't have to wait in line to get your movie. read more

This particular store is not managed well. Checkout is always unpleasant, long lines regardless of the time of day and day of week. Additionally they are frequently out sale items and it's hard to find someone to help you when you need help reaching the back of shelves. The people at the meat counter are nice always, but they don't have a big selection. This location doesn't even have chorizo. I was surprised to find out this is a teaching location having all the issues it does. read more

This is always my go-to store for groceries. Customer service is always up to par. All cashiers are friendly and efficient. What I really like is that the sled checkout is always open. You don't have to wait, if you don't want to. Also, all HT's have fresh produce samples for most items. Plus, the managers there have been helpful and giving towards community service projects I have participated in. read more

I've called this location in reference on how much would it cost to do a Western Union. The guy (Roger) sound very exhausted. So he Place me on hold not informing me on what he was trying to do. So I would say about 30 second along the call. Someone pick the phone up and hung up on me. So I called back and Roger pick up the phone again. Hey Roger somehow the phone was disconnected he reply Oops. So he kind ask me to hold again so I did.. Guess what happened hung up on me again. Either Roger doesn't know how to use the hold button or he wasn't trying to help me! Now I'm levit. Now this is the third time calling back. I get Roger again, I said Roger I'm pissed now because I've called numerous time and yet I haven't received my answer to my question. He rebuttles, I have a customer in front of me as if I wasn't a customer. He also suggested me to go to western union website.. I thought as a customer service rep it is your job to provide the best experience for the customer. I guess that's not the case.There was know empathy or wanting me business. Beware of the salad bar around 6pm. Last night the lettuce was wilted and the chicken salad had a yellowish film over it. Unfortunately, nothing on the bar looked safe and consumable. I was very disappointed as the HT salad bar is my quick and easy go-to. read more
