If you're already swinging by Hobe Sound Beach and the Tunnel of Trees on Bridge Road, you gotta stop by Harry and the Natives for a good breakfast, lunch, or dinner! I like the outdoor patio which is fully covered and has weather flaps. Ambiance wise, I like all the kitschy garage signs that have the silly sayings on them! Our service was pretty good and quick for a late lunch on a Friday. Food wise. I wish I could try everything on the menu but I'm only in the Stuart area but every once a year now, so that would take a while. I heavily recommend the hush puppies with honey butter. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, divinely sweet. I got the Cuban sandwich with fries as my main. They do a a really good Cuban, nicely pressed down as it should be. I came for drinks outside and was watching the bartender Kaitlen tend bar. It took her 20 mins before she took our order. She touched almost every single beer glass on the top by the rims with her hands, before pouring, and after, and delivered the beers to our table the same way with her fingers on the rim WHERE WE DRINK.. I then continued to watch her make drinks and was appalled that she would continue to do this with almost all the drinks she made, and she was the main bartender ! I watched her the whole time from our table and I never saw her ONCE wash her hands. As someone who worked in the food service industry for years, I was disgusted and very disappointed. read more

The Band is always exceptional I really enjoy and follow Jupiter Trailer Trash ! They play so well together and they fill up the dance floor. Short of help took forever to get drinks had to wait in line and get bitched at by the couple waitresses cause u couldn't get to the bar. For starters I want to say the service at our table was excellent. Our server was very attentive. The interior was what a local watering hole would look like. The food is where I had issues. Hubby got the chicken waffles Benedict. The eggs were overcooked and the sauce was cold. I had the steak and eggs. After requesting medium rare it was served medium well. Sundays: open for brunch from 7am to 1pm. Live music, awesome ambiance, you truly feel like you are on vacation in the Florida Keys. There's a ton of seating options, both tables and bar seating, inside and under the covered tiki hut outside. The breakfast menu is a bit selective, and limited, and they do not let you make substitutions. I had the poached eggs, with Hollandaise sauce, it was okay at best. The bacon on it was totally undercooked. I asked for hot sauce, and she gave me a bottle of their homemade hot sauce which wasn't my favorite. My husband ordered their corned beef hash, which did not look so great. He said it wasn't at all what he expected. He also said his toast was cold. As soon as we finished our meal, our waitress just dropped off the check unexpectedly. We said, wait can we order more? She said yes, just wanted us to see where we were at with the check, then she disappeared. I saw on their sign it said unlimited mimosas, but when I asked about it, she said we needed to ask about it before we ordered, so they charged us for all of the mimosas we ordered. I have no idea how 2 people spend $150 on brunch, but somehow, we managed to do it (18% gratuity was included). Ambiance is 10/10, but the food is honestly 4/10 (for breakfast anyway), service was 5/10. I would definitely come back to enjoy the music and ambiance though. read more

I keep driving by this place and finally decided to stop in. What a cool spot! I was intrigued by the Gator Burger, which is 100% gator meat, no filler. The burger comes on a potato bun so next time I'll order the multigrain bun. They have several sides available choose from and I chose the cucumber salad since it was different than most restaurants. Overall, I was very impressed and I will definitely be back! Just to finish off the review, the service was great and the atmosphere was pretty cool, very retro FL. I always give this place another chance because when my family visits they like it. Today was the last time. Service was lackluster at best. Who asks if you want lettuce and tomato with a BLT? It was sort of laughable. Tomato was frozen and bacon was barely cooked. And then after, the check comes with 18% tip included. No wonder the meal and service were poor. I have been to Harry & The Natives in Hobe Sound, FL for at least 40+ years through the many iterations and have always enjoyed the staff & those who are patrons of this typical Florida hole in the wall style restaurant! I have recently been to the new location in The Villages in Leesburg, FL and both places are very cool but each has their own vibe. This location (Hobe Sound) mixes a little of the old and new and provides a very relaxing vibe with very good food. If visiting the area for the first time definitely check it out! Been there several times it was fine. Band was good played oldies and current This time was a Loud Metal band that were horrendous three of us couldn't even speak at the table for 4. Ask to lower volume never happened.We were sent to interior Bar/tables along with others that had complained. Seated it was ok then ask to move to another table again then asked to move to this corner table by bathroom. We stopped by Harry's on our way back from Palm Beach. It was a perfect Saturday morning experience. We sat out in the tiki area because we had our little dog with us. It was warm but not uncomfortable. All of the staff were friendly and attentive - just the right amount. The place was decorated with funny, sarcastic sayings we had a good laugh while we enjoyed our meal. We love conch fritters so whenever they are available on the menu we have to try them. These did not disappoint. A good amount of conch in each one with a spicy Thai chili dipping sauce. My husband has the soup of the day - broccoli cheese with macaroni. I tried it - it was really cheesy but not a fake cheese taste. We split the garden salad and the mayo reuben. Everything was delicious. I have to say though to me personally I loved the large mug of coffee! If we are ever in the area again we will certainly be back! read more

Went for breakfast this weekend. Atmosphere was very relaxed. We were seated immediately and greeted by our waitress. The owner can't keep his politics off the menu but otherwise they have lots to choose from. I had the quiche of the day. I believe it was bacon and cheese. There was a thick layer of well done cheese on top that was hard to cut through. It was ok, not great. My partner had the chili cheese omelet. The chili tasted like canned. Excellent Mahi Mahi tacos were served on 1/23/2024. They were truly awesome and the taste went so well with the pineapple chutney they were served with. The fish was lightly blackened but ever so flavorful that you could experience the tasty fish as well. Portion size was wonderful. Could be split between 2 but I was hungry and finished all 3 with gusto! Highly recommend the Mahi Mahi tacos! Service was given with a smile and we were allowed on the open patio with my brother's dog, which was super as the dog is aging and does not like to be alone anymore. The 2 waitresses that got our order were great to work with. Mrs Pauline would be proud of them. Of course the ambiance is authentic "Harry's". I sure do miss Mrs. Pauline and I feel her presence there whenever I return. I had been gone from Hobe Sound for about 13 years and the expansion at Harry's is pretty impressive, so it's nice not having to wait for seating, even when the parking lot looks full. I was so disappointed. I came here hoping for great atmosphere and good food. Neither were to be found. Tuesday evening. Not enough help I guess. The bartender was a hard worker but she was having to run all around. I started with soup. It came out lukewarm. It was dropped off with one cracker by a sloth of a young girl. I took one bite and wished it was hotter. I waited a few minutes for someone to be within ear shot - and realized I had a choice to make: Eat it now while it wasn't 'cold' or wait and hope to get a hotter version. I made the wrong choice. When the bartender had time for me again, I mentioned they might want to turn the heat up a bit on the soup cauldron. She let me know I got the last of it. I ordered some chips and salsa. Either I got way too many chips or I got way too little salsa. Once again. No one to mention it to until after I ate the dry chips. I ordered a burger - medium. It was well done and I made the same mistake of waiting to tell the bartender - then having to decide to eat it or let it be cold. Bartender was serving people at tables and sloth-girl was nowhere to be found. I ate it. Mediocre would be a compliment. I need to be more assertive. I came here for a very specific reason - I love the vibe of palapa hut restaurants. This was a complete waste of time and $50 for just me. read more

First time here and it was very similar to how everyone described it: average food but fun atmosphere. However despite other reviews, we had excellent service. Didn't go inside because there were plenty of seats on the patio and would recommend staying there. Nice breeze, tables spaced out, good view of the stage and small or large tables to suit your needs. I brought my 3 month old and my friend, her five year old which were accommodated well. We both got the native salad which was overall pretty good. Juicy chicken, great size, all the fixings... but I would say the tomato were an odd add and the goat cheese wasn't very creamy. Still pretty solid. Also got a side of fries which were great. Hot, double fried, salty, etc. Kids hamburger and fries went over pretty well too :) lastly, in reverse order, the strawberry lemonade was a refreshing cocktail that I'd get again. The service was above average, but most of the staff were not wearing their mask properly and our waitress had a half open clear plastic mask on... smh! I am SO bummed that my phone was dead when we went here because we loved this place so much. First off, we went on a very busy Friday night and our waitress was so amazing! She was open and honest about how busy they were and asked us to be patient and she would do everything she could to get us everything we needed in a timely manner. LOVE THAT! We started with some nice cold beers and chatted while listening to the sound of live music in the background. We tried to order an appetizer, but it somehow got lost in the shuffle of things, so we still need to go back next time we are there to try the fish dip! My husband and I ordered two things to split, the Fish & Chips Dinner and the Harry's Favorite Salad. Both were extremely good. The fish and chips were really nice, and not too much breading! The salad, oh my gosh the salad! It was one of the best salads I have had in a long time and that says a lot because I LOVE a good salad. Sadly, everything else was pretty average. The crazy mahi taco lunch special got mixed reviews at our table of 3. The fish was good, the fresh mango salsa also good, but the mango jam was just too much sweetness for the jerk seasoning and it overpowered instead of complimented. The tater tots were perfect The rodeo burger was again fine, but again the toppings did all the work as the burger itself was basic and plain.
