Stopped here while driving through Florida for vacation and stumbled upon a wonderful restaraunt. Phenomenal food, fantastic service. Our server was extremely sweet, attentive and interested in speaking with us! Smart looking place from the street with impressive tiki building and main building. Several TVs and a stage for performers. That said on Saturday afternoon at 2 virtually nobody there. Plenty' of sea food on menu. I had reasonable burger and tasty if small portion of tasty fries. Good choice of local beers on tap. They also have unusual wine specials. Service good. Lobster bisque good as bang bang shrimp also good. Reasonable prices. I suspect could get lively at night as it looks the type of place. read more

After hearing such good things about this restaurant via word of mouth, it was a must visit while in Hobe Sound. The restaurant itself is so cute. It is very aesthetically pleasing on the inside with beautiful decorations and color schemes. There is an outside seating area with sand and even a stage for live music. The service was great, and we didn't want for a thing. I ordered a glass of Prosecco Rosé and conch fritters to start. The fritters were very yummy with a good amount of conch inside. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Sandwich on Pretzel Bread as my main. My goodness, it was so good! I definitely recommend on your visit in. The bread was soft, and the chicken had just the right amount of seasoning. My mom ordered the special, which was the short rib quesadillas with fries. The quesadillas had a lot of meat in them, and the meat was very tender. read more

We came here for dinner and really enjoyed ordering off their summer sunset menu. It came with the choice of several salads or soups, an entrée, and a small dessert all for one price. We both ordered the lobster bisque and the coconut crusted snapper. Both were really, really good and presented beautifully. I also got the tiramisu for dessert which was delicious too. They don't have a full liquor bar here, but I got the strawberry margarita made with wine and it was still very good. They have a great outdoor seating area, but since it's July, it was a little hot to be sitting outside. The inside is very pretty and done with clean, modern colors. Our service was great and everything was a great experience. We would definitely be back to try some of the other items on the menu. read more

Loved this spot! Highly recommend. They have a really cute indoor/outdoor space as soon as you walk in with a band stand & sand on the ground, so you truly feel like you're on vacation! We sat inside at the bar and had lunch one weekend. The inside is very beachy and relaxing, and the staff was super friendly. We ordered the bang bang shrimp, the Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich and a side salad. (Way too much food for two people!) We loved it, and hope to take our parents when they are back in town for the season! Hobe Sound is so beautiful and quant, we love the area! read more

The outside is beautiful, the staff is always very friendly but I seriously think the food needs some work, they served me some Korean coleslaw I was not a fan, the last time I came in the coleslaw they gave me with my fish was absolutely amazing. I don't know what changed. The server recommended me an awesome drink totally forgot her name! I was seated outside though at the surfboard table she was great! The French fries were great and the pasta dish was as well, the tartar sauce!! Oh my it had NO FLAVOR at all!!! it was very bland and didn't taste like anything other than mayo with flavorless pickles in it... tartar makes or breaks a fish fry, the fish was nicely fried not too much breading not too greasy so that's a plus! I do plan on returning since it's such a cute spot and everyone is so friendly but k do hope the food Improves. read more

My wife and I stopped by on Friday for dinner. Too hot to eat under the Tiki, so we went inside. Had a craft beer (good selection) and my wife enjoyed a Prosecco. Courteous staff, helpful with my wife's allergies while ordering. That being said, our dinners were far from ideal. My Flank Steak was a bit overdone ( ordered it rare) and chewy. Mashed potatoes dry, best thing on my plate were the sautéed fresh vegetables. My wife's blackened Mahi was dry, overcooked, and very fishy tasting (def not fresh). Black beans and rice ok, best thing on her plate were the 4 pieces of fried Plantains. Bill and tip came to $90. Don't know if we'll be back again for another dinner. read more

Had lunch today at one of our favorite local restaurants!! We started with delicious conch fritters appetizer. Piping hot and great flavor! My friends first conch fitters and she too enjoyed them! Then she had a great looking burger and I had Mahi tacos, grilled not fried and they came with black beans and rice. Of course we ordered dessert, shared delightful crème brûlée, coconut!!! We did everything but lick the ramekin! Then I realized that I had not taken any photos, so took a snap of our EMPTY dessert dish! Stopped in for a burger. Hostess says they have great burgers. One of the worst burgers i have ever had. It was fatty and not well cooked ( i requested medium well) . I took one bite and it did not taste like a good burger. I thought maybe it was the cheddar cheese on top. I made huge mistake. After my first bite i should have sent it back , but because i was really hungry i just kept eating. Now i hope that i don't get food poisoning. It's the second time i have had bad meat. Previously i ordered ribs to go and they were horrible. Stay away from any meat at this restaurant. read more

First time visiting. Came for dinner with my boyfriend and sat outside. It had a nice breeze, especially with the fans. Atmosphere is beautiful when you walk in is something like a thatch roof area with tons of seating and a stage area and two big screen tvs. The waitress, Janine, was absolutely absorbable, very helpful and knew what she was doing for sure. We started with our drinks and he got the pineapple cream soda, AMAZING!!!!! I tried the Beach house sunset, which was actually pretty tasty itself! We then ordered the calamari for appetizer which was cooked perfectly nice and golden brown served with a lemon and marinara. For dinner, we ordered the Fra Diovlo. Extra spicy and very delicious! I've been here multiple times now over the last 5 years, usually right after coming off the beach after a long day of fishing. The food quality and atmosphere never disappoints. Tonight there was live music as usual. Low key, relaxed, and the food was out of this world. The stars were the specials - bang bang grouper bites were simple and out of this world and the pan seared pompano with rissoto was off the charts good! Cooked to perfection. We are local Hobe Sounders and have grown to love Taylor House cafe! It has a great ambiance and live music on select days. My husband returns for the short rib quesadillas, mahi Ruben and the chowder. I love the fish entrees and especially the lemon cello cake. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Another great dinner at TBH! I know going out on Valentine's Day can be a disaster, but our meals did not disappoint! I love that the staff is always friendly and the restaurant is always clean! For dinner I ordered the Havana banana mahi, which was good, but when I tried a bite of my husbands grilled flank steak I was so envious I didn't order that! The flavor and steak quality, was on point! My mahi was cooked perfectly and had great flavor, the plantains were divine, if I wanted a clean meal I would definitely get this again, without the salsa on top! My daughter ordered my favorite, the mahi Rueben and also loved it and the fries were cooked to perfection! When it came to desert we were not going to get anything but when I heard the special, I just had to try it! They had a coconut crème brûlée. Sadly it took almost 45 minutes to get because of how the kitchen works, my tiny dessert had to wait in line behind all of the meals. Which I strongly feel needs to be looked into. As for the crème brûlée it was sort of a disappointment. The coconut was shreds amongst the custard, which did not give much coconut flavor and took from the smooth texture of the crème brûlée. The custard flavor itself was also lacking, normally the vanilla bean gives the yummy flavor, but I think that was left out and the coconut was put in its place and it just didn't give it enough flavor, maybe a little coconut extract would help. Great idea just not executed. But don't let the dessert special deter you, their food and service is ON POINT! read more

So, got out to eat there twice after our first take-out experience. The restaurant is very attractive and enjoyable to be in. The food was very good. My ONLY complaint was that the fish on my fish sandwich (my go-to order at lunch at a good seafood place) was so big that the sandwich fell apart! It is a bit expensive, but these days you have to pay for quality food and they serve it. I will continue to go there whenever I have guests from out-of-town, which is about the best recommendation I can provide. read more

We had dinner last night at Taylor's Beach House Cafe and were so pleased with all ... the food, starting with the presentation and then the taste ...All that we ate ... soup salad, fish entrees and deserts were EXCELLENT ... The service was a plus too as they are very customer oriented ... always trying to please ... And regarding the ambiance, we sat in a booth that had pillows for your back ... a real plus. We are repeat customers and will continue to be ...GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, and GREAT AMBIENCE. Ambiance and location were major selling points for coming here. Service was good but the food was average and prices high. I had the jerk chicken sandwich and my guest a hamburger that was not a patty and for that I would raise the stars by one but the prices are a turn off and therefore I dropped it back to average. I believe it would be better to stick with seafood when ordering here. read more

We had been here had arugula salad w crab cakes salad was bitter, no taste dressing, crab cakes were soggy/mushy no taste. We decided a Burger should be safe and it was good, but, the fries it came with were oil soggy full of grease, the Lamb was so tough, unedible, and those scary veggies, omg, the potato augratine was ridiculous and horrible. What a great evening! My friend and I arrived early, planning to grab a glass of wine at the bar while we waited for our husbands to join us. It was just a few minutes before 6:00 pm when we realized that there was an early bird menu available. Trish was kind enough to accommodate us as we hurriedly guessed what our husbands would like and put in our order. We needn't have worried! Everything was delicious! Trish managed to take wonderful care of us, even after we vacated the bar for a table. Amazing. And the music on the patio was perfect - great selection and just the right volume. The only reason I gave this restaurant a three stars because the manager was so kind and obviously under a lot of pressure. They were very very short staffed. Our food came out cold and having fish and chips at room temperature or colder is not very good. I would like to give it a try again because the atmosphere is beautiful and the guitar player was superb. They need new staff who know how to get orders in and out promptly. read more

I went to the Taylor Beach House for lunch today with 9 other women. They placed us in two 4 person tables and would not add an additional table because of other potential customers that never showed up. We had to get our own beverage refills because the wait staff was not around. Again not very busy at all. Many tables were empty. One of us needed salad dressing because it wasn't provided at the time the salad was delivered and never received it. The food was good but not the service. Too bad.
