Harry Browne's upstairs is one of my favorite little nooks. We went for a work happy hour and had a lovely time. I love the pizza, and the espresso martinis are to die for. They have a good wine selection and the staff is so lovely and accommodating. Never a bad time :)

We were drawn in by the white table cloths and seeming elegance. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. The oysters were so heavily breaded I wasn't able to taste them. The "grits" were saucy and heavy with butter with 3 shrimp floating on top As for the ambiance, it was incredibly noisy. The one saving grace was our wonderful waiter Alec who doubled as host.

Crab Cake Entrée...on the small side but very good!

4 stars... Visiting a Brother at the Naval Academy and this joint was within walking distance, and a reservation assured we had a front row seat! Good wine selection, but they were out of my first choice(mid price) but recommended another of the varietal(high price)..we accepted and was a good one, though nearly double the price! Ordered the crab cakes and while the composition and abundance of crab was first rate, the size was on the small side. Served with hush puppies and asparagus, both good! Finished the night with a chocolate layer cake...mouse and cake and fudge frosting...great! Ambiance is old world bistro, service was wonderful and prompt, and prices were slightly above expectation. I'll have fond memories of this dinner because of the company joining me, but if I'm in the area I'll pop back for an encore...this joint makes the list!

Such an amazing selection of chef inspired choices. The service was fantastic even with a large group.Highly recommend.

Harry Brown's is classy and laid back. We've been here several times on personal days celebrating events and loved it. But I was a little apprehensive because tonight was Valentine's Day and the kitchen would likely be fully challenged. I shouldn't have worried. Our server was attentive and helpful, the room was full of people but it wasn't loud or hectic and my cocktail was perfect. The entrees are all accompanied by a starch and vegetable. I ordered a rack of lamb that was seasoned beautifully and augmented by the au gratin potatoes and roasted Brussel sprouts. I'm anticipating the leftover lamb tomorrow. Hours later, I am still enjoying the memory of the tastes of my meal. This restaurant is classy without pompousness making the splurge a joy.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit was a pretty big disappointment. From what I understand, they recently let go of their head chef and are currently running things with sous chefs, and based on this experience... it shows. On Saturday, I ordered the oyster BLT. I was told ahead of time it came with four oysters, which is fine -- if those oysters actually feel like the main event. On a sourdough sandwich, you expect something substantial -- big, meaty oysters that can hold their own. Instead, what showed up were four tiny oysters that were basically lost in the sandwich. I'm not exaggerating when I say you had to go searching for them. And for $28? That's where it really lost me. I have no problem paying Annapolis prices when the food backs it up, but this felt completely out of sync. The portion, the quality, the overall execution -- none of it justified the price. It honestly felt like something that should have been half the cost... at best. Beyond that, the sandwich just felt underwhelming overall. Nothing about it stood out, nothing felt intentional, and it definitely didn't live up to what this place used to deliver. It's frustrating because this used to be a spot I'd recommend without hesitation. Right now, though, it feels like they're charging premium prices while the kitchen is still trying to figure itself out. I really hope they get things back on track, because Annapolis needs places like this to be good. But as it stands, I'd think twice before ordering anything from their specials.

We enjoyed the warm pretzel bread and butter to start. And then, the wine! We are a huge fan of their moscato. We also had a tasting of their other moscatos tonight. An orange moscato and a black moscato. All equally delish! For an appetizer tonight we shared sweet and crunchy shrimp lettuce wraps. Very good and full of flavor. For my entree I get what I always get because it's amazing and delish! Surf and turf; pretzel crusted pork chop and ahi tuna. Sub Mary's potatoes for my girl Betty's potatoes because Betty is cheesy!! Pro-tip; always go with Betty! My fiancé got the short rib risotto which he enjoyed. For dessert they were out of the mocha tiramisu that we wanted to try. Our waitress brought out crème brûlée for me for my birthday which was very nice! We also had their chocolate wine; Vin Chocolat Noir. It was so good! I thought it tasted like a chocolate covered strawberry! Another absolutely amazing time at Cooper's Hawk!! And even for the pasta pictures viewed on the Yelp app, the pastas do not appear appealing. Aside from that, the appetizers are not good either. Our server brought us some calamari that was nothing but bread. Filling. Super disappointing; so disappointing that we left this restaurant and went to Juelps for better food. I think after 3+ visits and only having 1-successful trip, I don't think I'll return here anymore - not including the wine-tasting and membership.

For food, I ordered the City Dock Pizza and my friend ordered the Beef Bolognese. The City Dock Pizza was good - thinner crust but plenty of flavor. The Beef Bolognese was a lighter colored sauce than I anticipated. The pasta was good and the sauce was also good but not what I would consider a traditional Bolognese. We did order the Cheesecake and a couple glasses of prosecco and they were sweet enough to put in a candle for my friend's birthday. The cheesecake is DEFINITELY recommended, it was very good and came as a suggestion. It did not disappoint. Overall, had a great time and would definitely come back and everyone was really friendly.
