My cars are older so things will break from time to time and they always suggest the most economical way to repair something. In probably 50+ visits here I can only remember one time that they found something that needed fixing that I wasn't aware of (muffler bracket was loose). Remember this shop is AAA approved and AAA sets very high standards for their authorized shops.

I took my car here because my AC was not blowing much cold air....just coolish air....and I did not want to be taken by anybody to find out the real issue of the problem.... We made an appointment and showed up on time. I explained the issue and I left the car. About 4 hours later, they called me telling me that they had filled the system with freon since it was low on freon and they gave me a total price. My husband said that in the past, Jim would call before any repairs with an estimate to make sure the customer was OK with the path forward...this time, I just got the work done without any previous chance to "think about it". I arrived, got my car and paid....when I saw my credit card receipt, I noticed that the charge was higher than what I was quoted....I was then told that any credit card charge incurs a 4% extra processing fee... I was just surprised by the lack of transparency. Who walks around with hundreds or thousands of dollars in their wallet??? I think the best is to quote the credit card price and tell the customer that they offer a 4% discount if paid in cash.....

The bill came to over $1000. The car also needed to stay the night when they originally said it would be ready in time. After it finally being ready after a 2 hour wait the following day, the noise still wasn't fixed. She was told to bring the car back another day and they would fix it for free and it would take two hours. It was finished right before close, she was charged over $300 for yet another part she never approved for, and guess what? It's still making the noise. This is the worst mechanic we've ever encountered. Stay. Away. Seriously. Terrible business, terrible mechanics, terrible people.

SO INAPPROPRIATE...  He came back and said his manager told him to write it up and that we have a deal and to come back Friday to have my husband my cosigner sign and to put down a deposit.. try to call thursday afternoon to set that up and was told he was busy but would call me back--- which he never did.. call friday morning and the sales manager had NO IDEA that this was the plan or any of what i said so it was not relayed.. told him my frustrations and said he would not run my credit and put a deal together without having money in house so I was forced to give a deposit.. Didnt hear from them for the rest of the day, called again the next day.. couldnt get a hold of any sales manager for hours and the receptionist who could not care less said i emailed them your name and number they will call you when they call you.. Again--- nothing.. called again Monday morning and got the run around from that same receptionist until I finally got a hold of a manager. Not a great experience at all from start to finish... pulling teeth to get a hold of anyone and unprofessional.. do not buy from here.

He's probably the only mechanic I actually feel the need to give MORE money to, just because I feel like he's not charging me enough. He is sometimes hard to get ahold of , but that is b/c his shop is very small and I believe he is the only mechanic there. The only other drawback is that he doesn't mess with anything having to do with computerized problems- emissions, inspections, check engine lights, etc. But for brakes, a muffler, or pretty much anything in that department, George is my man.
