I Was in the shop on Feb 13th to buy some silver and gold. Drove down from Seattle and was disappointed only in the fact they were busy, and I did not get to meet Harry, Adrian, or Richard. They were there but seemed very busy in the back. Would have liked to say hello, but was helped by another employee bill and I got my gold 10th oz and my 10 Buffalos, so I got what I wanted at a good price and no WA Taxes. :) Shop is much smaller than it looks on Silver Dragon's You tube Videos. Purchased on Jan 10, 2026 a "1935-D Mercury Silver Dime 10C, PCGS MS-65 FB Full Bands" that looks to have mold on the Dime, have sent many emails and messages in there web site with NO REPLIES, first time buying and last time as I paid $375 for a .10cent Slab coin. If I don't get a return label then I will contact my credit card company, the lack of positive response is very disappointing to say the LEAST! They have enough time to make Silver Dragons videos but NOT help a new customer with a possible coin? Because of Harry's being a small Coin business not what I should have expected as within 14 days I sent messages...Bad Business Harry! UPDATE: Just sent a message and got a reply from Harry's coin shop, but no name so I don't know who sent it? "I already wrote you". Sorry I have not seen any emails from Harry's Coin shop. Then "There is nothing wrong with your coin". Send it back for full refund. Not sure what person sent that, but nothing wrong with your coin, I replied back WOW finally a reply! There is, send a return label. My pictures show that. Nothing wrong, Mold? Now I really don't trust you! To me if Harry's Coin shop sent a message which is great and then we could have had a conversation and gone over what I sent pics showing the issue, so I still keep sending messages with no response then I would think that person did not get it or saw it, which I did not! Then I ask for a return label and got back "That was not very nice forget it" So this is how you treat you mail order customers when they have sent many messages and pics showing what's on my $375 coin? It saddens me that a small Coin shop treats there online customers! If you would have looked at the slab coin with a loupe and see something like Mold or something on the coin I would have expected them to not sell it on line as onsite customers may see what I see and not buy or maybe they did and said lets sell it online when no one can sell it the Mold, and my main concern is not what I paid but will it WORSE? But since whoever sent that email today with out using their name that maybe I could have better understood what's on my coin if they would have worked with me? But just warning online buyers don't support this kind of business! Also Harry's Coin Shop is not even BBB, which surprised me just now when I looked. Was excited to visit Harry's since we were traveling through Beaverton. Unfortunately Harry or Silver Dragons wasn't there at the time of our visit. A very tall King Richard helped us find a few things. Very happy with what we purchased except for the twenty silver eagles which were in horrible shape for $36.50 each. Like many folks, I learned about this shop based on a few YouTube videos. Recently, my wife and I decided to pay the shop a visit, and spend a little birthday money. It's easy to get to and and even though it's a bit busy on the weekends, the staff (including Harry himself), are friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. After just being in the space for a short time, hearing the amazing exchange of information and wisdom, it's very clear that these folks are indeed... The Real Deal. There's lots of great stuff here -- from world notes, and coinage, bullion, government minted, to the more numismatist-inclined items. It's a fun place to learn, and shop. A nice diverse selection and a staff that share a core love and interest in coins and other ephemera. I won't get into actual specifics here, but this one experience literally sealed the deal for me. Being that it was my birthday and my wife was treating me to a little fun money, we spent about 45 minutes browsing and collecting a few things for purchase. During our checkout he had overheard my wife saying that it was her treat, he said "Happy Birthday!" and threw in a few extras for us. Nothing big, and of course we tried to refuse, but he insisted. It was very kind and really made our visit amazing. When we got home I was checking over the receipt and noticed that he had neglected to charge me for an item. If you're in Portland and want to buy or sell coins, come here. As a practical matter you will get the best price. My wife and I sold some silver coins last year when the Comex price was $18. Harry gave us $28 for our silver eagles while Liberty Coin down the street offered only $24. But, what really separates this coin shop from others is Harry himself. While in the shop it was clear that we were dealing with a friendly person of the community with a high standard of integrity. It felt very satisfying knowing that my business was helping support such a good person. To top it off, when it was time for my wife and I to file our taxes, we realized we were missing a receipt. I stopped by to see if Harry could help. He took my phone number and said he'd get back. Remarkably, even though by now it shouldn't have been a surprise, I received a text two days later with a photo image of the receipt. Since I was young, I've held onto a few bags of coins that I thought would make me rich. Finally, I decided to see what they were actually worth - and I was so lucky to have found Harry. He immediately greeted me and made me feel welcome. He diligently went through my bags coins - separating the ones that were worth something (not many) from those that were common (almost all of them). While he was doing this, I enjoyed looking at all the historic coins in the store - I even ended up buying two from the 1800s for the heck of it. Once Harry was finished going through my collection, he gave me a written quote and walked me through the pricing. I was very pleased with the amount - but wanted to think about it. I went back the next week to sell Harry my coins and walked away with some cold, hard cash. I can't recommend this place enough. You can feel it's an honest, pleasant, and respectful business as soon as you walk in the door.
