    Harry's Breakfast Sandwich

Stopped today finally and my wife, son and I all had the breakfast croissant with potatoes. It was a great breakfast, everything was correct and the croissants are so tasty. Definitely check out the bakery nearby and store. Mercedes took great care of all of us and was on top of everything. Can't wait to go back on our next visit to Long Boat.

We ate at Harry's for breakfast before we left Longboat Key for the airport. From the outside, this restaurant doesn't look like much, but it definitely is good eating. We sat on the patio and even though it was on the roadside, it was secluded by lots of plants and had a pergola to shade the tables. Our server was Kianna and she was sweet and provided good service. Right away she bought a basket of mini biscuits and banana bread. Nice touch. My husband had Harry's nogi for breakfast - scrambled eggs, bacon crumbles, cheddar cheese, pico de gallo, avocado, chipotle sauce and corn tortillas. He loved it. I had the old-fashioned German pancake with lingonberries. I also ordered a side of bacon. The German pancake was light and very good. The bacon was crisp like I like it. Before I left I went inside to use the restroom and was so surprised seeing the dining area. It totally is different than the outside and is so inviting. Decorated in white and blue it's so inviting, and there are plenty of booths and tables inside. Next time I'm in Longboat Key, I will definitely come back for dinner. We looked at the menu and it looked good. Looks are deceiving so don't pass by this place because of the nondescript exterior.

We had brunch at Harry's today. My husband and friend ordered different eggs Benedict (one ham, the other crab cake) and shared. Both amazing! And my husband thinks he is an eggs Benedict critic. I Had the tuna tower. It was not exactly what I was expecting but better!! Sliced seared tuna layered between large wontons with a salad of cabbage carrots and mayo sauce. Just delightful!! Oh and the bloody Mary's were so good, not to spicy, with beautiful garnishes that I devoured!! Oh and I forgot to mention the complimentary banana bread!! The service was excellent and they were packed at 1 pm with lots of locals on a Sunday. You can sit in or outdoors. Just a nice atmosphere!!

Beautiful restaurant. Out door seating and full bar. I had breakfast here and I will say that the food wasn't that great. My eggs were bland. The grits were bland and to top it off. There's just way too much cheese over my grits and my eggs. My husband got the shrimp and grits, which wasn't dynamic at all. It was very oily and the shrimp seem like they were boiled. And again bland. I loved our server. He was very sweet. Honestly the only thing that I truly enjoyed was the banana bread. Everything else was meh. I probably won't return.

Very comfortable outdoor area with umbrellas. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio.

Went for Sunday brunch. Glad we had reservations as it was packed. Extremely loud. We were sat in a booth for four, and we all found it quite cramped, not much space between the table and bench on both sides. We had 2 servers, and both ladies were excellent, sweet and attentive despite how busy it was. Major complaint besides the noise and seating was the temperature of the food - I ordered eggs benny and the potatoes and Benedict were not hot. The flavours, presentation and quality etc were on point, just not the temp. The others had omelettes which they liked - father had captains platter and said it was overcooked. Service was great though, we will try again, maybe not such a busy time and will request a table, not a booth.

    First choice. Mimosa or bloody!

This time I decided to try the Ragin' Cajun Flounder Melt ($19) Toasted sourdough bread slices with blackened flounder, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and Cajun remoulade in between. We got there a little early for our reservation and they were immediately ready to seat us. They even made an effort to place us near the fish tank so our toddler could watch the fish during dinner, which I really appreciated. The restaurant itself felt more intimate than I expected. I've seen reviews mention the awkward layout, but I actually thought it gave the space a cozy feel. Unfortunately, the food and service didn't fully live up to the prices. Our waiter was kind, but we barely saw him during the meal and waited quite a while for drink refills. I'd also mentioned in the reservation notes that it was my husband's birthday dinner and our first time visiting, but neither was acknowledged during dinner. Normally that wouldn't bother me much, but with the pricing and the restaurant's elevated presentation - polished uniforms, fresh seafood options, extensive wine menu - it felt like there should've been a little more attention to the overall experience. My husband did absolutely love the coleslaw that came with his fish and chips, especially the pineapple in it, which he'd never tried before. I ordered the grouper tacos and thought they were okay, but not especially satisfying. They came with a salad, and I found myself wishing I could've swapped it for fries or a heartier side. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing or misunderstood the menu options. Most of the crowd during our visit seemed older, and the restaurant definitely feels geared toward that demographic. While I don't think we'd personally rush back, I'm still glad we gave it a try. I also thought it was a nice touch that they offer a 15% discount to the ice cream shop next door if you bring your receipt.

The elegance of the dining room atmosphere, the wait staff, and presentation of the food was not overlooked and executed to a level where you can tell the staff truly cares about the diner's experience. The pre fixe menu is simple enough to not get lost in, and wide enough to keep you coming back for more. Everything we ordered was delicious, unique, and contained a French twist. The special was tilefish, we ordered several kinds of seafood including lobster, crab, and snapper while I had the lamb saddle. Personally speaking the blue crab avocado appetizer was something I had to order because of all the pictures I had seen, and it did not disappoint. The romulade alongside the dish gave it a fresh, elegant bite which was rich but bright. The Colorado lamb saddle had the texture of a well prepared filet mignon perfectly baked inside of a puff pastry. I was calling it a lamb wellington for fun, but that may have been the most I have ever enjoyed a lamb dish. It was hearty, and perfectly balanced between tender meat, crisp crust, and savory sauce. The pineapple dessert was light, refreshing, and felt like a unique cross between a tangy desert and a sweet airy coconut whipped ice cream. I was however very jealous of the others that ordered the rich chocolate soufflé. 10/10. I would say this is a necessary experience for anyone that lives in the area.

There is street parking and a small private parking lot. I highly recommend reservations on the Resy app about 1-2 weeks in advance, as the restaurant is busy in winter. FOOD: You can choose between a la carte or the Prix Fixe menu. The Prix Fixe is a small-portioned three-course (bite, appetizer, and entrée) menu featuring some of our signature dishes. The Prix Fixe experience begins at $58 per person (there are additional add-ons) for dine-in only. 1. Waterzooi Soup (3/5; Red Farms chicken | caramelized leeks | carrots | local cream | focaccia toast | parsley emulsion | carrot purée): This is a Belgian soup. The serving size of the soup in the prix fixe was relatively small. The presentation was nice, and the chicken soup was a nice winter dish. The chicken broth was savory but at room temperature. 2. Autumn Salad (2/5; mixed artisanal greens | brûléed bucheron cheese | radicchio | toasted French walnuts | red grapes | fig balsamic vinaigrette): I felt like something was lacking from this seasonal autumn salad. It's OK for me, as I mostly ate the bucheron cheese with the grapes and walnuts. 3. Filet Mignon (4/5; seared | maître d'hôtel butter | red wine jus | truffle potato purée | asparagus (additions: sauce Choron, seared foie gras, Maine lobster tail, local exotic Petrichor mushrooms): It was cooked perfectly. This is a staple in the menu. I did not add any of the additionals. The service was great. Our water and drinks did not touch the bottom. The server came around often to check in and give his recommendations. If you want to do order pick up, it is available Tuesday-Saturday between 5 - 8 PM. Would I come back? Yes.
