Onion skillet bread with Asiago fondue and cinnamon butter

Loved this restaurant. First of all the booths are super cute and it's nice all around. Instead of an alcoholic drink I chose the "nojito" and it was the best flavor. I picked the salmon and was very good. The sweet potato it lays on was also very flavorful. My friend had the octopus which I was told was very good and gnocchi which was a bit dry (did try this)

A quick day trip to Sarasota and we found this gem! This restaurant is located inside the gorgeous Cirque St. Armand's Beachside Hotel. The design, decor, and food here are stellar! The steak frites sounded so delish, we both ordered it. Our cocktails were also very good along with our service. The staff is super friendly and the host was sweet to let us pick our exact table with a few for lunch. Definitely worth going off the Main Street to eat here!

The pros: The decor is pretty awesome. The circus theme is done tastefully without being tacky. The food is good. It's not over the top amazing and it's overpriced for what you get but it's good food. The drinks are top notch. Whoever is crafting the cocktails deserves a raise. The cons: The service. Oof. This was a doozy. Asked for a recommendation for dinner and he just read the entrees. And they didn't have my friend's top 2 choices for dessert. He was slow and not attentive. All around just not good. We made the drive from St Petersburg to try something new and we won't be back.

Cobb salad with lobster and crab and the grilled chicken sandwich. And an amazing view!

We had a fantastic lunch here. The best Cobb salad I've ever had in my life and my wife had a delicious grilled chicken sandwich. I was very surprised by the diversity in their menu and the quality of the food was second to none. The views from the dining room are fantastic as well. We will absolutely be back soon!

Today we visited Ringside at Cirque St. Armand's-a circus themed restaurant inside the boutique hotel! We went for breakfast and had a great time and meal! They had a great kids menu as well as some good choices for adults-I chose the Tuscan toast that was delicious! It had prosciutto on it with a poached egg and arugula salad! Beth made an omelette and Little Man had bacon and eggs! It was quiet and the vibes were bold and colorful as well as comfortable but upscale! You sit looking out at the lido beach-ocean! A fun experience with a great and attentive service!

Decor

Sunday lunch at Ringside Restaurant was exceptional. Dani was our server and he was incredibly kind and genuine. His warmth and attentiveness made the whole experience feel relaxed and welcoming from the moment we sat down. The drinks were fantastic and clearly crafted with care. The food was elevated and creative while still feeling approachable. The St. Armands Cobb did not disappoint. It was fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. The real star of the afternoon was the ambiance. Sitting across from Lido Beach, Ringside embraces Sarasota's circus history with bold, maximalist style. The interior decor is layered, playful, and full of personality while still feeling thoughtfully designed. It captures the spirit of Sarasota's circus past in a way that feels lively and memorable. A wonderful spot for Sunday lunch and a great addition to the St. Armands dining scene.

Server, ambiance, and food. Loved the musician when we were in the lobby bar and would highly recommend they have playing year round.

My wife and I visited this restaurant on Memorial Day for our anniversary because we were craving…read moretacos and wanted a nice rooftop dinner experience. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the entire night was disappointing and honestly ruined what was supposed to be a special evening. When we got off the elevator at the rooftop entrance, there was no host or greeter anywhere in sight. The restaurant itself was dark, mostly empty, and only had one other family dining outside. We stood there awkwardly for several minutes before someone finally acknowledged us and said someone would be with us shortly. A woman eventually came out with menus, but never greeted us, smiled, introduced herself, or spoke beyond seating us. We then waited around 15 minutes just to place our order. There were no menu recommendations, no explanation of dishes, and no basic hospitality whatsoever. I specifically requested NO black beans on my meal. After an extremely long wait for food in a nearly empty restaurant, my plate arrived covered in black beans. I politely mentioned that I had asked for them to be removed, and instead of apologizing, the server responded with an annoyed "ugh, I told them," grabbed the plate aggressively, and walked away. I also asked about the cheese on the tostada because the menu simply said "cheese," which most people would reasonably assume means mozzarella, Mexican blend, queso fresco, etc. Instead, it came covered in crumbled feta cheese, which I do not eat. The server never mentioned it, never asked, and acted irritated when I brought it up. She made a nasty face, ignored me mid-conversation, and walked away. Meanwhile, my wife's food was terrible. Her shrimp tacos were bland and soggy, and the rice tasted like it had been overcooked in water until it turned into mush. While waiting for my corrected plate, I realized they never even brought my rice out at all. After another long wait, my "corrected" meal finally arrived - except instead of simply removing the black beans, they stripped almost everything off the dish. What I got back was basically dry tostadas with chicken and lettuce. No crema, no pico de gallo, no proper toppings, no effort. I tried to ignore it and gave it a chance, one bite only... but the food tasted like it had been cooked in old, dirty oil. The smell and flavor were so bad that I immediately lost my appetite. At that point, I politely told the server that we were just going to leave and asked for the bill. I wasn't asking for free food, discounts, or an argument - I simply wanted to pay and leave peacefully. Instead, she slammed the check down next to me with another attitude-filled expression and walked off. Because of her behavior, I didn't even feel comfortable handing her my card, so I went inside to pay directly with the manager. I calmly explained the situation and expected at least a little empathy or professionalism. Instead, the manager basically told me that if I didn't like the food or service, I should just leave -- "like he would do." That response alone told me everything I needed to know about how this restaurant operates. Not once did anyone apologize sincerely, attempt to fix the situation, offer a replacement, offer dessert, remove an item, or show any interest in customer service. Instead, the staff became defensive, argumentative, and confrontational. I told him that his server was rude and disrespectful as she sat there staring at me, hands on her hip, laughing sarcastically as I explained what happened. That same manager walked from behind the counter and approached me face-to-face aggressively, telling me that "I cannot call the food nasty and if I didn't like it, to pay and leave but to not argue with a woman" while the same woman server continued making comments from behind the counter: "how am I rude? How am I disrespectful? I didn't even talk" (that's my point!) What should have been a simple anniversary dinner turned into one of the worst dining experiences my wife and I have ever had. Terrible service, terrible food, rude staff, poor management, and absolutely zero accountability. We left hungry, frustrated, and shocked at how badly the situation was handled. Would not return and absolutely would not recommend.

(Chat gpt did not know to recommend it for butter chicken in Sarasota, btw.) It is off on the end of one of the side spurs off the circle. I ordered mango salad and husband ordered butter chicken. We shared. Salad was very fresh, cucumbers and tomatoes were carefully seeded, lettuce cut in bite sized pieces and tamarind dressing was light and delicious. The butter chicken was sweet and unctuous, served as large chunks of mostly dark meat chicken that you cut up. It was fan-freaking-tastic. Waiter was so very friendly. He and his dad opened in November. Tan tan martini (vodka and guava) was made spirit forward per request and balanced out the mildly spiced, rich butter chicken. Dad is the chef. Dining room has big windows that look out on the street. White tablecloths are so welcome. It's cool and soothing inside. Much better than the loud places on the circle. Highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner!

BLUF: Consistently exceptional food and service located at a dry dock (dry boat storage)…read moreoverlooking the water. I love Dry Dock Waterfront Grill and I always visit when I am in the Sarasota area. Dry Dock is always busy so I am also sure to make a reservation in advance using Open Table. Typically we sit inside but I know the back patio is popular too. If your timing and patience is perfect, you can also get a nice a nice window seat in the dining room that has sweeping views of Sarasota Bay. The inside atmosphere is bright and airy and although airy often translates to loud, Dry Dock thoughtfully put noise dampening panels on the ceiling. As far as food, I don't think you can go wrong. I always get something with grouper whether it be an entree, sandwich or tacos. On my most recent visit I got the grouper filet with coconut shrimp because I had originally been eyeing up the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. Ultimately, we decided to get the rock crab claws for an appetizer which were good but more work than I planned even though they were pre-cracked. I felt like a Neanderthal trying to eat those crab claws in such a nice restaurant. No offense to the Neanderthals, of course! I have no idea what my husband had as it disappeared. After entrees, apps and bread, we were too stuffed for dessert. I think our server was Cari and she was awesome! Attentive, friendly, funny and quite possibly a mind reader and magician. She saw the hanger in my eyes and made bread magically appear. I hope I got her name correct because she was superb!
