But, never went in‍. Maybe it was the stairs... The not knowing plus the heat. But, it's beautifully decorated, open-aired, the food and service are phenomenal, so 100% worth the climb! We had a lamb, steak, pizza & calamari dish, all were delicious! Our party was made of up 3 career fine dining servers and we had zero complaints! I almost don't want to write this review because I want this place to remain hidden! Terrible service. We waited an hour an 45min for our food. Our water glasses went empty. Then we were served warm water with no ice. The server sat and talked to another table while we waited. We had to go to the bar for our check so we could leave. The food was terrible. What a wasted night and money! read more

We had an amazing dinner at Bamboo Lounge in Bradenton Beach and Brian made the entire experience incredible. He was attentive, kind, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great night. Our table went all in on the menu and everything was fantastic. We enjoyed cocktails like mojitos, caipiroskas, and a Machu Picchu that absolutely hit the spot. For food, we loved dishes like the Vicenza and Madrid pasta, the Piamonte and Marseille entrées, plus the Hawaii and Salvador plates, and even the fettuccine with cheese sauce and broccoli was excellent. Every single plate came out beautifully and tasted great. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is impressive, and Brian truly elevated the experience with his service. Really wanted to like it, but there were many problems and no server came back to check on us until the end of the meal. Ham was sold as "pork". My family members ordered it assuming it was pork tenderloin, but it was just sliced ham. The pizza crust was store-bought, which was like cardboard. The prosecco was not cold. Overall, disappointing. We told our server some of this eventually and were given 15% off our bill, which seemed inadequate. She seemed confused that there was an issue with ham being sold as pork. If it had been listed on the menu as ham, my family would not have ordered it. Ham is a smoked meat and different from pork, even though they are both pig. The staff were nice, but that was about the only good thing. read more

The family-run restaurant has the perfect tropical island ambiance and unique, globally-inspired dishes that complement the AMI island vibe so well, and the staff is so kind and attentive. We loved the Brazilian coxinha Ipanema appetizer and Rio picanha entree, and the German-style pizza -the thin crust and unique topping combinations were delicious. This was the best find on the island!!! We were walking by and got curious by the cute atmosphere and vibe. We made reservations for the next day and we were all blown away. It's not only cute and cozy, it's warm and welcoming. The owners came to meet us after we raved about the food and service. Emily took care of us the first night. She is the best. So sweet and kind. We loved it SO much that we went back again and Brady took care of us. He was awesome. He was so attentive and we loved getting to know him. They were busy, but he was so good at his job that we felt totally spoiled. The food was awesome. We tried a lot of items and we all loved everything that we had. The best presentation was the shrimp pineapple dish. It was so pretty to look at, but also so so good. If we had time, and had discovered this gem earlier in the week, we would have gone back a 3rd time. No joke. This was a pretty cool and interesting place. My family and I were wandering around Anna Maria Island looking for a place to eat. This place had great reviews, and we were happy to be able to get in here at a high top table near the balcony. They have a really fun menu with the items being named after the world city that inspired the dish. There's a really nice diversity to the dishes offered. The Ibiza octopus appetizer was calling my name, so I opted for that. While it was delicious, it was definitely an appetizer-sized portion, so I had to go begging everyone else for bites of their food. I enjoyed all the charitable bites I received. The atmosphere is very lounge-y, lively, yet intimate. And our waitress was awesome and took great care of us on a busy night. I'm sure I will be back here, I can't wait to try more of their meals! read more

To start, the location is great, in the middle of Bridge Street, top floor, views up and down the main drag. Views of the Bay and Gulf are limited to sneak peeks. It's Brazilian roots are evident and the vibe is distinctly Caribbean Isle. Very comfy. You can choose between bar, railing, outside dining room or inside dining room seating. Something for everyone and every weather. The menu alone is fun...looks like no other - full of unique colorful dishes which do look EXACTLY like their menu pics! The cheese bread was delicious and the eight pieces are enough for four to share. My "Anna Maria" - grouper with shrimp and capers over creamy mashed potatoes - was outstanding. The fish was done perfectly. My wife's "pizza" - a thin German style crust - the "Munich" was equally delicious. Drinks and wines (limited) are available. Emily was the sweetest and so hardworking! As was the ENTIRE staff that I saw. It was so refreshing to see such passion behind a restaurant. Reading the "bio" before we came, I knew it was a Brazilian families dream to have this restaurant - and welcome you as family. I truly am so happy I came here before I left to go home. I wish I took a picture- but the blueberry mojitos made by Emily were the best mojitos I've ever had!! And, I've had my fair share of those. We spent our weekend in the Bradenton area and visited the historical Bridge Section for the first time. After having scouting a few establishments in the famous street and feeling a bit disappointed with their food offerings, I resorted to Yelp. The Bamboo Island Bar's menu piqued my interest. The restaurant's name is deceiving, (it is more a restaurant than a bar). The location might be difficult to find since it does not have a store front; you walk into a lobby at the end, the stairs will lead you to the 2nd floor where this restaurant is located. The restaurant is owned and operated by a friendly and welcoming Brazilian family, who are very proud of their accomplishments. The restaurant décor is as welcoming as the family, open and modern, inviting on a hot summer day. The first encounter is with the bar, the space opens directly into the dining area where a scatter of different table arrangements are set all facing the spacious windows where the transit of this street can be observed as well as the bay and open ocean at the distance. Tucked away to the right of the space, there is a smaller size restaurant, (apart from Bamboo), where only hamburgers are sold. It is very unique in décor and hamburger options! These are owned and managed by 2 siblings. The menu at Bamboo is simply eclectic, made up of dishes that the family has enjoyed from different parts of the world. I like it because the selection is limited but provides appropriate variety. The dishes presented on the menu with pictures and descriptions have very original names. I immediately knew what I wanted! I ordered Ibiza for appetizer and Salvador as the entrée; of course, to drink, I chose one of my favorites, a Caipinhira- typical Brazilian drink which I like very much!!! Ibiza was perfectly presented, executed, and cooked! Oh my! I love the fact that the dish came with two choices of sauce on the side; both of them good but not really needed. I like my octopus plain and simple if cooked well. It was tender, the portion was big enough to share! Salvador, a seafood/fish stew, also typical of Brazil was also well prepared; I particularly liked it because the coconut flavor was not as overwhelming as in other places I had tried this dish. The balance of spices in the sauce was perfect! This dish came accompanied by rice, green salad, and bread; the latter we asked for repeat to scoop up that perfect sauce I mentioned. Overall, great culinary experience in a place with "Bar" word prominent in the name. A find worth returning to! read more
