When looking for a great body shop to get my Lexus Rx repaired competently & quickly my Insurance co sent me a list of shops they recommend........as time was of the essence it turned out that Harry's was the quickest......I spoke with Bailey at the body shop & she said it'll be done in nine business days from when I drop it off which was weeks off. I asked when they order parts & was told because it's through insurance they'll order them when I commit to them.........well the 9 days were up last Fri. and I was told then ( without any any reason) it won't be done until Tues or Wed. I thought they ordered all the parts weeks ago. We could have brought to our 1st choice (where it would have been by now) but Harry's gave us an earlier drop off date. Buyer beware. I bought a 2024 GMC Sierra SLT X31 off-road truck from Harry's. Key word here. OFF ROAD!! I bought the truck specifically to pull my bass boat to tournaments. This truck has only 1 leaf spring!!!!! ONE!!! Off road truck??? It almost bottoms out over speed bumps. Squats a ton with my bass boat. The manager was supposed to call me back to discuss the issue but I guess he has more pressing issues than my 62k car/truck with a bed on it!!! So now I have to drop $1500 to buy an air lift for the suspension to tow a bass boat!! My wife's 4 runner doesn't squat this much. Side note: less than 3000 miles and the back up camera keeps going black screen. They can't duplicate the problem in the shop. Go figure. You got me once Harry's. Never again! My wife and I have been in search of a new Yukon XL. The dealership reached out to us based on a GM finance application we filled out online. Again, the dealership reached out to us. Not we reached out to them. They presented us a 2023 Yukon XL, we pulled our GM Employee discount code, ran numbers and ran a hard credit pull with our Credit Union. We confirmed to the sales person we wanted the car. And they later informed us that they had someone in person "running numbers". To which they ended up selling it to the other customer. after owning a brand new gmc terrain for 2 wks, it died while turning a corner in very busy downtown traffic. that was on the 3rd of may. it was towed to dealership. today is the 9th of may and i still do not have this lemon back. i feel nervous taking this off the lot again and wanted a replacement but that was "unreasonable" of me. good customer service prevents reviews like this. i am a senior and i need a good, reliable car that after only 2 wks doesn't die. i think harry's dealership should be jumping thru hoops for me and, according to a lawyer i spoke to, he agrees. i can't afford a lawyer and with a stubborn co. like this, it would lead to no results. i want a new car but i will be driving around in a 2024 that's junk and i am supposed to be content with that. read more

I've never had a better experience at a dealership than the one I had at Harry's on the Hill, and I've bought a lot of cars. Negotiations were upfront and fast, and their pricing was fair. They don't grossly mark up their vehicles and do right by their customers. It's also a woman owned family business that has been in operation for nearly 100 years. My sales agent was also a woman, and I never felt pressured or bullied into buying the car, but I did end up buying it! Their body shop is also known as the best in town, and they sent my wrecked MB GLS to them for repair. Both the owner and her daughter came over to thank me and introduce themselves, and their adorable shop dog, Dolly, is always out and about bringing cheer to all. This business is truly top notch, from the showroom to their personnel, and I would recommend them to anyone, any time. read more

FIND ANY OTHER CADILLAC DEALERSHIP!! This was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had at a Cadillac dealership and I have been a Cadillac loyalist since 2010. My experience was so bad, I had them retrieve my car so I could take elsewhere. My ATS was diagnosed with a special coverage issue (P0010) which means the repair was to be covered at no charge, and perhaps this was the reason they treated me so poorly. I have used Harry's for service needs for over three years and I can assure you, they will NEVER get another dime of my money. This is my story. (TLDR at bottom) We booked the appointment over a week ago indicating the issue. Since the appointment was so far we had the diagnostics system read by a local mechanic (which they did at absolutely no charge) and the issue was immediately identified as fully covered. When I showed up for my appointment at Harry's, they dismissed my full report of the diagnostics from three days prior and said they would have to be redone (fine). However, they said if the diagnostics showed anything in addition to or other than the diagnostics I presented they would charge me $120 and the bill could grow from there. I guess I don't mind paying $120 for diagnostics that are read in 10 seconds on a tool that reads all Cadillacs and costs less than $500 (see Autel MX808) but I was not happy with the idea that they could not tell me whether or not I was going to be charged, but I can live with that. Then the attendant tells me he will probably need to keep the car up to 7 days. Okay, so I can pretend I didn't see him go grab the diagnostics tool and run the diagnosis real quick to verify my readout was correct, but to come back and say even though he didn't know what he would charge, he did know it would take a week to fix. Fine. My fiance is not too happy, but it is what it is, I know how this works, I know free coverage is not exciting for a business to do regardless of being reimbursed by Cadillac, but I have used Harry's exclusively for well over three years. So I ask about a loaner since it's obvious we didn't walk there and he wanted to keep the car for up to 7 days. He said he had no loaners. This was a first since Bud Davis Cadillac ALWAYS treated my like a true customer and had a car for me when they kept mine, I have a PERFECT driving record (SPOTLESS). Fine, how about a ride home. Well the driver refused after interrogating me vaccination record. We immediately retrieved the car, contacted the dealership in Hendersonville and said they could fix it same day. And speaking of vaccinations and COVID precautions, I noticed at least two employees without masks, and they're excuse for taking so long was because 6 individuals were out with COVID. I do not know what their prevention policies are internally, but they are obviously not working if 6 out of 9 mechanics are out. The TLDR: They would not tell me what they were going to charge or even if they were. They had no mechanics to do the work. They had no loaners. They had employees that were not using PPE. They would not even give me a ride home. Harry, you will never see another red cent from me, my family, and I will make sure to tell my tale far and wide. This dealership should be ashamed of itself. Everytime I have had my GMC Canyon in for servicing the experience was BAD. The most recent event was this afternoon. I brought the truck in for an oil change and tire rotation. I should note, I purchased my truck new from Harry's. I am entitled to oil changes and tire rotation 2 year or 24K milles. I was surprised when I was informaed I would be paying for said service. I questioned Customer Service, I questioned the Service Manager, both telling me my truck was outside the service offering. Thinking I may have not remembered the correct milage, I paid for the service and left. As I was driving away I looked at the odometer and it was 22,565. I went back to the service guy. I told him the truck was under the 24K milage umbrella. He did not believe me. We went to the truck and big as life there it is 22,565. The truck should also have had a recall inspection done which it did not get. I will continue to pursue this service failure read more

Service dept is also rude. Told me it would cost me 2500 to repair. When I asked what the problem was, he wouldn't tell me. He said this, "Do you want it fixed or not?" My husband and I are heavily tattooed and as soon as we started speaking with a sales person it was apparent they didn't want to try and work with us. My husband is a private contractor (1099) and according to them, people who are "self employed" have a hard time getting financed. And then they said "I'm sorry." They were short, extremely unhelpful and never tried to give us options or run our credit. It was very clear we were not the clientele they wanted to work with. I took my vehicle to Harry's on the Hill to have a new water pump installed. They successfully upsold me on having the timing chain replaced as well. When the vehicle was returned to me, I noticed that it was running strangely, bogging down, and had little power. Not realizing that these symptoms are connected with an incorrectly installed timing chain, I checked all the fluids, added a quart of oil and continued using the vehicle. Before even a few hundred miles had been driven on it, it experienced catastrophic engine failure. I took the car to another mechanic to have the starter replaced, not realizing what was happening, who discovered the actual issue. Once I discovered this (he only took the starter off, put on a new one and removed it when it turned out to not be the issue), I immediately had him stop work and had the car towed back to Harry's to be looked at. The service department there refused to investigate the vehicle beyond noting that the battery was dead and the starter removed, yet still felt justified in stating that the issue was certainly my fault. The service manager was extremely rude and belligerent in doing so. He told me that it was 'impossible' for it to be the timing system, because it would have been missing so badly I would have brought it back before I made it out of the parking lot. He also told me to ask any 10 mechanics about this, and *all* of them would tell me the same thing. So, I went and asked, and the very first three I spoke with all told me exactly the opposite. When I returned and informed the service manager of this fact, he became even more rude and actually went as far as physically threatening me. I have spoken with five different mechanics and found multiple sources which all state that the behavior of the vehicle was exactly what you would expect with a timing chain that is installed incorrectly, and that the symptoms of an incorrectly installed chain are not necessarily immediately apparent to the user. Highly unimpressed all the way around. I shopped around for quite a while for a new truck and finally landed on what I thought was a good deal at Harry's. When we started to negotiate on the purchase of the truck I was told that they could not move on the price much at all if any due to the fact that the truck had been certified pre owned.I was assured that this vehicle had been thoroughly checked out and there would be no problems with it. 172 point inspection was what was repeated over and over. Fast forward to 4000 miles later at my first oil change and I am told that I need a front and rear differential service, fuel system service, cooling system service, transfer case service, and transmission flush. Seriously!?!?!? Not to mention the seat was broken when I got in to drive the truck and after the first oil change the oil pressure was shooting all over the place, clearly caused during the oil change. After multiple emails and phone calls I was finally able to get in touch with a sales manager who said they would cover half the transmission service and half the transfer case service. I reluctantly agreed still feeling dissatisfied. I was told the services would be done in a day but when I dropped it off I was told they wouldn't be able to finish the work in a day. No offer of a loaner car or anything. Bottom line is do not waste your money on a certified pre owned vehicle from harrys on the Hill. It is a scam for them to get more money for an otherwise average used car. Always get a pre purchase inspection. lesson learned but hopefully I can save someone else the time, money and headache of having to go back and forth with people who only care about the dollars and not a quality product. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future for purchases and services. Might I mention this is my second car from Harry's and a week after purchasing the first certified vehicle I had to take it in for a repair on some electronics that didn't work and a new wheel bearing. So my husband and I just recently bought two new vehichles at Harry's on the Hill. We shopped online with the help of Jaclyn a couple of weeks before even going to the dealership. She is the sweetest and most informative. When we got to the dealership, she and Regina, our bubbly sales rep, had the two vehicles we wanted ready for us to test drive. They both made sure we had everything we wanted and most importantly needed in those vehicles at our price range! We had a chance to talk to Josh for a few minutes and they gathered the info they needed. I had to fly out that day so only had 30-60 minutes before I had to get to the airport. When I flew in a few days later, there was a shuttle to pick me up . The shuttle driver was so nice. She stopped at Taco Bell because I was so hungry. My husband met me at the dealership with his trade in and they had all the paperwork complete when I arrived. I was met at the door by Dolley which was a pleasant surprise. With the help of the hilarious Gavin, we were explained everything, signed our papers and on our way! Seriously we got exactly what we wanted and needed at a great price and had fun in the process! I guess it is the nature of the beast, and heartless salesmen who know the tricks and don't mind using them even when selling a vehicle to low income families. They will tell you that you can't get financed, only to call you days later and tell you that they found a lender. When the truth is they are just tricking you into a high APR because they buy out the contracts from the lenders. It's the usual heartless sales men that only care about what goes on their pocket and not about what could actually benefit both the buyer and the seller. Don't buy a car here!! read more

This review is for something that happened around 2008. The experience was so memorable, thought I'd share: A few years back I owned a 1994 STS which was a great running car...didn't need a lot of service. But my wife did get in an accident and Steve in the repair area treated us so great and our car was fixed perfectly. A year later, we lost the fob key chain at a high school event. We ordered one and my wife went to pick it up The service manager greeted her, told her to go pick up the fob in the parts area, bring it over to him and he would get it programmed. He said that would be $40.00, to which she agreed. Well after 15 minutes the guy, Stan?, comes to tell her that they weren't able to program it, it just didn't hold the program and that it would be another 80.00 to try more ways of programming it. AND they would have to take off the dashboard to get to a part. I said to forget it. The fob we lost held the program...since 1994! I just didn't think anything was wrong with the car. For way less than $80, I just got a set of keys...I was pretty bummed. But, when she went to check out they had the gall to charge us for the failed programming. I just thought this was crazy to have to cover a programming expense. She told the story to the manager, Frank?. He just looked like the coldest person and said nothing, pay it. So we have not dealt with them since that experience. read more

The body service technicians were rude, my car was there for two weeks to replace a door, they did not follow up on a secondary problem I asked them to look into, and they did not work well with my insurance company. I had to make all of the phone calls; I was never contacted to let me know how the service was progressing. I BEG you to go anywhere else...you couldn't do worse. I went to Harry's on the Hill because that is where my Geico claim adjuster met me. It seemed convenient at the time, but I now regret letting them do the body work on my car. When I went to pick up my car after it was completed with a new back panel and paint, I was about to drive off when I noticed that there was a big box of exterior trim in my passenger seat. I got out and looked around my car and noticed that the exterior trim was missing throughout the entire passenger side of my car. I went in and complained. They had not completed the job and I had to wait 30 minutes for them to put the trim on. I then noticed that the radio didn't function. Seems that they disconnected the battery and didn't fix my radio. Being car illiterate, I then asked them what was wrong. They fixed it. I finally drove away. I noticed the next day that I have a nice new blue scratch on my red car on the drivers side door that was not there before taking my car to Harry's. In addition, my trunk doesn't close right because of the back quarter panel that was put on and not aligned correctly. Only good plus is that my paint job looks decent. For over $2500, it seems hardly worth the effort and aftermarket parts they used on my 9 year old car. I will never ever go back to them. read more

I recently took my car back to Harry's on the Hill, they fixed a major issue and gave it back to me. Two weeks later when my engine just stopped in the middle of the road, they told me the mechanic had seen a major issue when it was there last, had taken PHOTOS of it, but they never told me and just gave it back to me that way. Thank goodness I wasn't on the highway or in an intersection when the engine cut off! I had it towed to Harry's and I was told it was irreparable. My $14,000 used car had just become almost worthless. I will never take a car here and I think they're lucky we don't sue them for giving it back to me with a known major issue. read more

Brought my '06 GMC Sierra in for a driveline repair with a private Driveline Warranty. I also needed a rental. Cass was amazing. He set up an appointment for me, met me as soon as I arrived, got me into a Courtesy Vehicle, dealt with warranty company (a real pain), kept me advised as to progress, and even drove 25 miles and back to pick up a needed part. 5 weeks later I took the truck back in with a loud noise while driving. Cass again set up appointment, got me a vehicle, and kept me advised of progress. He let me know that it was determined to be a failed part that they had installed 5 weeks prior, and that all costs, including rental, would be covered. This was my first time bringing my new GMC Yukon XL Denali to be serviced at your dealership and it will be the last. To summarize my experience with one word, I would choose 'Awful'. I had an oil change/ tire rotation, spare key fab programmed along with the DVD remote programmed and several issues that were fixed and some were covered under my warranty (ie: knocking noise in the steering wheel). When I came to pick up the vehicle, there was nobody around to show me where to go. Where to pay. Where to check in. Eventually I met the cashier and she gave me one price I owed but then went to check on something with another person and came back with a slightly different price with no explanation. I asked if the oil had been changed and she said she didn't know. I asked if the tires had been rotated and she said she really didn't know. I asked if they wash your car when you get an oil change and she said yes. At that point I leave to retrieve my car by myself. I am walking around the service department with a 3 yr old and 3 child car seats and nobody can find the time to assist me or even tell me where my car is. Once I find my car, I notice it hasn't been washed. I walked back to the cashier's desk and told her and she said 'oh you have to ask them to do it'. I said this was my very first time coming to this dealership, how was I supposed to know that I needed to ask for a service that is supposed to be included. Her response was 'I don't know'. This covers the main highlights of my horrible experience. Bringing my $70,000 vehicle in to be serviced by a bunch of people that have zero interest in providing any sort of customer service is not something I will ever do again. I shared my dreadful experience on social media and quickly got referrals to other dealerships that provide a higher level of customer care where your dealership provides none. read more

When the service team member came to tell me my car was ready, I asked if they had filled my window washer well as I had asked, and he went and checked specifically to make sure. We were traveling through Asheville, hit something in the road and bent the rim, flat tire. The car was an Escalade Hybrid which does not have a spare. It was Friday afternoon, so while waiting for the tow truck called Harry's to alert them of the problem and I would need a wheel. From the first person who answered the phone (Debbie) to everyone I talked with, they were very polite, professional and trying to help. They do not stock wheels, normal, I don't think any dealer could stock all the sizes and shapes of wheels. The operations manager (Frank) called me back, suggested I call a tire store closer to my location. No luck, no wheels in stock either. Found a used rim and they would deliver to Harry's. Called Frank again and he said great, when the wheel arrived he would mount a tire and have it ready. We finally arrived by tow truck, they were ready and had the new tire and wheel mounted, even suggested a tech take the car for a short ride to double check everything. We were on our way. I mentioned this was a Friday afternoon, we left Harry's just before 5:00pm and during any all my phone conversations and our final arrival at Harry's they never acted like they were in a hurry to go home for the weekend. read more
